sazzles - can't work out who you are on dd's fb page. number 3 in the list is a bloke

readyforbed · 13/06/2008 20:17

Just dropping in (have visitors this pm, who are already late so thought i would take advantage) to say sorry Sazzles for not getting back to you on the zoo thing - hadn't run away, things just ran away with me.... That would be good - can't do Wednesdays though as still working FT - could probably wangle a Friday morning (ish) without anyone really noticing (wfh on Fridays...)

Chicken lasagne sounds interesting...

dizzydixies · 13/06/2008 20:22

ALBS will come on and point out who is who

oohh I LOVE chicken lasagne, yumyum - I made dh and I pork with onion/mushroom/garlic/creme fraiche/parsely and a dash white wine - was lovely

VG yes I'm in Ireland, living in West Cork. I grew up in England but my family are from here and all my sisters live here too. Still waiting on DS to pick up an accenthe sounds v. posh English for no reason connected to his parents though that might change when he starts schools in September.
I'm only obsessed by the baby's position because I've had two ridiculously long labours caused by the babies starting off posterior, and DD was born sunny side up. Coming out smiling was a fairly good indication of her character, but it's supposed to be a lot more painful. Not sure it made that much difference but I'm doing as much wiggling about to get this article into poll position as I can. Of course if it gets too speedy on me I'll never get as far as the hospital ...

VintageGardenia · 13/06/2008 20:31

Full of: meatballs, couscous, fizzy water with lime.

Planning for later in evening (making up for those saussies yesterday): millionaire's shortbread, Earl Grey, DS, DP and the dogs.

What is this blimmin match on? That wasn't in my plan!

alittlebitshy · 13/06/2008 20:33

There's nothing on tv (pah football - that does NOT count)

dh is out at a meeting and our garden is overrun by church folk setting up for fete tomorrow (we still have hole in front garden courtesy of the elec people, so that shoul be interesting )

Sazzles and albs - I'm also in the SW - Near Bath, Also have family near Cheltenham so spend lots of time in that area.

Tonight's snacks - mini merangues(sp??), strawberries, rasberry jam donuts, doritos cool.

alittlebitshy · 13/06/2008 20:50

dizzydixies · 13/06/2008 20:54

@ nap!

alittlebitshy · 13/06/2008 20:54

seriously thinking about bed. I feel sick (as ever ) and baby is not in a comfy positiion, plus I is v v sleepy. But I have dd's uniform in the washing machine so neeed to wait for that to finish first. Don't want to go up and come down again in case there are still ppl in the garden who might witness me in my nightwear in the kitchen lol.

Sorry albs I meant Readyforbed - i'm sure i have already mentioned i have no brain!!!

Dizzy I'm NOT mrs dickenson - Have you seen her she's scary! Dh has been on telly he's a Titanic auctioneer so features on news/daytime telly reasonably regularly. Can i join the facebook bandwagon toooooo?

TS - WHERE ARE YOU WE NEED YOU!!

longwayfromhome · 13/06/2008 21:00

No, seriously, 4 theoretical lectures with a midwife with powerpoint and everything, 4 practical classes with a midwife (without DH) and then 4 theoretical lectures with an obstetrician, paediatrician, anaesthetist and oh, someone else.

Have I mentioned already that things are quite formal and medicalised here? Not really into choices in childbirth.

It was really nice, we went out for dinner last weekend with an Argentine couple who had lived in the UK for several years. She had her kids in the UK and hilariously described her shock when she was booked in and offered a home birth ...

oopsacoconut · 13/06/2008 21:01

Sazzles - Folks are between Evesham and Cheltenham - Zoo and fridays are always good for us it's our only free day.
