Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
dizzydixies · 12/06/2008 20:03

no idea ALBS - haven't heard from her in a few days - was she not getting all the stuff sorted with her flat?

poppy Cairnie is now on the 22nd which is the sunday - can you come?!?!? [needy][not a weirdy stalker emoticon]

TwilightSurfer · 12/06/2008 20:23

I think the date I have on the list is Ilanka's CS.

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 12/06/2008 20:26

28JUL was her previous EDD

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 12/06/2008 20:29

IlanaK is a good example...how should the EDDs and the CSs be displayed?? Should they both be displayed OR just the earliest date with a notation that it's a CS??

OP posts:
Buckets · 12/06/2008 20:31

I could probably have mine on 08/08/08 if I wanted but I'm hoping to wangle the earliest date they will allow. DS was an elective at 38+5 and was fine but that was a different hospital and consultant had seen me having a panic attack outside his office (followed by much weeping inside when he booked me in). Don't think I could fake that this time.

I have just invented the most amazing dessert ladies! Imagine if you will an apricot and marzipan danish pastry cheesecake combination. Dead easy, just construct and bake - hardest part was allowing it to cool. I'm off to post it on Mumsnet Recipes.

oopsacoconut · 12/06/2008 20:38

You lot sure can chatter - 11 pages since I was last on!!!

Brain like cheese - dh sent me to shops today needing 3 things, i drove the entire 3 mins to saisbury's got there and had no idea why i was there - apart from the need to eat 4 pink iced ring donuts! Phoned dh he gave me the list again - walked 2 isles and promtly forgot the rest of the list! HELLLP [pulling out hair emoticon]

TS - Liking the new list.

Had hospital tour last night - was very informative and strangely quiet - we were shown how to move furniture about and make it as homey as possible. Birth pool was amazing but there is only 1 so it's first come first in the pool. We then all went our to the pub to get to know each other.

ALBS - when your c/s happens I will still not have started maternity leave !!!!!

Going to try and read the last 11 pages and make sense of them, not that i think there's any chance of that!!!

CaptainCaveman · 12/06/2008 20:52

Tell me about it oops - there have been 4 pages since I last posted at 1pm!!

All good at hosp appt. Jerry is breech (oooh, really?!) and seems very happy where he is thank you. Growth wise he is fine, around the 50th centile which proves what a load of bunkem the fundal height measurements are

oopsacoconut · 12/06/2008 20:54

CC try tesco - £8

dizzydixies · 12/06/2008 20:55

CC argos I think

Buckets · 12/06/2008 20:55

Glad your bosses played ball tonight Oops.
Glad Jerry's on form Cavey.

oopsacoconut · 12/06/2008 21:14

Just an update on work:

They realised late on tuesday I was not giving in - so sorted a babysitter - to my shock it was the 14 year old from down the road So i rang the neighbours and asked them to pop in 'check if i had left them something' so i could be sure all was okay. I left her a list of how things were done and bribed the kids with a pressie if they made me proud and went to bed with no fuss. When neighbour popped in at 8.30 both kiddies were sleeping and b/sitter was watching telly. I felt so bad for doubting her abilities! Kids were very pleased with themselves. They seem to have looked at what rights I have on the internet and are now playing to the right rules! Male boss still being short and curt - female boss in the world of it never happened! Next week they have even organised backup incase my cover is ill - I nearly fell of my dinosaur So hopefully that situation is sorted.

Still confused by all the chat and not sure who did what to Dizzy on the sofa - babies sounding scarily big - people having tickable lists - Lady garden trimming menu's

VG book has been posted - DH said he did it monday (which means his secretary did it - possibly on Tuesday when she found it languishing on his desk!)

dizzydixies · 12/06/2008 21:19

oh lord oops do you think I've been violated

oopsacoconut · 12/06/2008 21:24

I heard it was miamla????

poppysocks · 12/06/2008 21:56

22nd sounds good to me Dizzy. Could you let me know time etc? We may have to visit BiL and family in Edinburgh but will lobby hard for the Saturday. If not we'll have to get another date sorted?

I was due on 7/7/77, which would have been rather neat and tidy (partic. as was also have been my Mum's 24th b'day and grandparents' 25th wedding anniversary. I arrived early. DD has an ok DoB though - 26/2/06. Would be lovely if this is 8/8/08, but our hospital likes to leave sections until 39th week and can't see this one making an earlier appearance given that DD required significant chemical efforts to get her shifted 9 days over.

Glad your employers are behaving now Oops

dizzydixies · 12/06/2008 22:08

yipee - am i sad to be pathetically excited re meeing real life MNers?!?!?

am on [email protected] if you want to email me about it

HazieDazieandBaby · 12/06/2008 22:20

CC the Tesco beside us was selling their own brand gym balls for about £3 at the weekend! I was tempted to buy it for the bargain-ness, but I already have one so not much of a bargain! DH was wetting himself laughing at you giving the new baby your DS's name if he didn't behave!

You're not sad dizzy, I'd be excited too! There don't seem to be any pregnant people in Aberdeen on MN so will just have to have a picnic by myself with the laptop and my virtual friends! I can't wait to start my antenatal classes and have a whole new group of people to bore!!

dizzydixies · 12/06/2008 22:21

hazie you could come down on Sun - we're only about an hr and a half from you

HazieDazieandBaby · 12/06/2008 22:22

I forgot to say sazzles, was pmsl at your old git version of a toyboy!

HazieDazieandBaby · 12/06/2008 22:26

That would be cool dizzy! I'll check I've nothing on and let you know tomorrow. Is it next Sunday?

dizzydixies · 12/06/2008 22:27

sunday 22nd

when is your livingston trip? sorry, have forgotten but know its coming up soon?!

HazieDazieandBaby · 12/06/2008 22:32

Cool, hope I can manage along then! The Livingston trip is on Saturday! I can't wait but I'm also trying not to get my hopes up again this time in case the little one decides to hide her face again. We're just leaving in the morning though this time rather than staying over the night before since that turned out to be a bit of a disaster last time!

dizzydixies · 12/06/2008 22:40

oh shame, never miss an opportunity for an overnight stay in a hotel - think of the freebies you're missing out on

dizzydixies · 12/06/2008 22:55

ladies am off to bed - have osteopath in morning and am now beginning to panic re decent undergarments and shaving legs lol

will let you how I get on

cyteen · 12/06/2008 23:05

Hey girls, just a quick hello from me. TS I finally know how you've been feeling all these weeks - since El Squid turned transverse I have been SO UNCOMFORTABLE, it feels like he's scratching me raw inside and every kick and poke takes my breath away. He'd better not stay like this for the next 10 weeks, I'll go mental.

Am feeling rather odd and like I'm coming down with something, so have had a hot bath and am off to bed any second. Sleep tight all, hope you all have lovely dreams

Sibh · 13/06/2008 00:06

Thanks for all of the hellos ...
VG --the name is shiv as in short for Siobhan but i've spelt it like that for so long I forget it's cryptic. I should swap it for something else!
This baby feels like its slipping back to transverse like yours TS and Cyteen, despite my increasingly lunatic attempts to shuffle the child into a better position. It's the weird little jolts that are really horrible I think. I persuaded DS to rub my toes this morning which seemed to help but that's probably unethical in any number of ways ... I don't think his masculinity was too compromised though. He spent the rest of the day trying to catch and kill the dino-monkey cubs that were infesting the garden. Didn't see one myself, though ...
