Wow! Three boys already! Congrats!
For some reasons, I really want a girl but i'm convinced i am carrying a boy... Weird! but i know i'll love him/her eitherway.

Re-weight, ive put on 6kgs, how many stone is that? 1?

Other than that yesterday i got the results for my toxo test and I'm clear! Felt so relieved and im hoping that the 20 wk scan will be ok too (no more bad news/false alarms!)
I also went to my 2nd yoga class for PG last night and it was great! A girl who gave birth 7 weeks ago came at the end of the class to tell us her birth story and show us her little boy (gorgeous and sooo cute!). She gave birth where im going to give birth and what she said from the midwifes/hospital was very reconforting.

Can't wait to have my baby! Don't you think that 9 months is far too long?!!

bubbaz · 13/06/2008 07:59

I agree tostaky I saw loads of newborns yesterday and want mine to come soon (not too soon though!!)
Happy Birthday Heartmum hope you have a fantastic one.
Good luck to anyone with scans today
x

twinklingfairy · 13/06/2008 10:48

Happy birthday to you too heartmum

I had my antinatal appointment yesterday and heard the heartbeat for the first time. It was 150, so I am now thinking maybe we are having another girl. We were hoping for a boy, but as you all know, cos you feel the same, it makes no difference at the end of the day.
Then again, I met a midwife at the swimming pool and she spent a long time trying to convince me that a higher heartbeat could easily be explained by the baby moving a lot. And she could be right cos baby was fairly moving about the say of the scan.
So I guess we will just have to wait and see.

The midwife and a friend also made me feel better about the lump thing. Both telling me that it was likely to be fibroid and therefore, nothing bad, as such. My friend had a friend who had a growth that was growing 10 times faster than baby! She had a c setion at 36 weeks, baby was 7llbs, lump was 26!! At least mine doesn't appear to be growing at that rate.

bubbaz · 13/06/2008 10:58

Oh good positive vibes twinkling. Hopefully they are right your bub sounds good and healthy anyway

Tinkerisdead · 13/06/2008 11:20

Twinkling think there are lots of people on mn who have had fibroids in pregnancy. Im sure its nothing to worry about at all.

Ive decided im spending the day on the net, for some reason everyone wants to meet me, or moans that they havent seen me! These are people who have never even been to my house im im sure they are trying to resume contact in order to get a visit with the baby without seeming shallow. Ive never been busier now ive stopped being sick and im just too tired to be driving about meeting people. To top it all my car has been scratched which is just another think i have to sort out! Still no apology from my mental SIL and so the rift in the family continues.

When this baby comes im shutting the world out!! No news on my scan and i dont want to seem pushy on my midwife so im gonna give her this weekend and call monday. Im convinced im having a girl, part of me wants to find out just to proove myself right ha ha.

Pinkali37 · 13/06/2008 11:34

Happy Birthday Heartmum (today or tomorrow).

I got my Downs and Spina Bifida blood test results today i am low risk for Spina and 1 in 8,200 for DS so am relieved on that score. Although someone does have to be that 1... but i'm feeling a lot better now.

Have had some tight pains at bottom of bump but think this is normal... right????!?!?!??!?!?!

zonedout · 13/06/2008 11:41

lola and heartmum, many congrats on your boys... i am rather biased but i love love love little boys... they are just so loving and cuddly and funny and downright scrummy and a big happy birthday to heartmum...have a lovely day!

weightwise, i have put on almost a stone at around the 20 week mark... quite a lot considering how much i lost in the early days so have probably put that much on in only 5 weeks

tostaky, are you going to the active birth centre for your yoga? i may well join you at some point, if you are (all dependant on childcare though!)

twinkling, i also know of a couple of people who had fibroids during pregnancy, with no ill effects to mum or baby. fingers crossed it will be nothing more than a very small one.

good luck for all of today's scans, can't wait to hear of more flavours!!!

Tinkerisdead · 13/06/2008 11:46

pinkali ive had pains at the bottom of bump, sat, sun and monday. gone now. They were really bad and i even rang the midwife, she said it was stretching again. makes sense to be fair as ive really noticed skin across bump is much tighter now and belly button is getting shallower argghhhhh if it turns inside out i may puke. im not good with belly button!!

LolaBella · 13/06/2008 12:07

Twinkiling my baby's HB was 155 and it turned out to be a boy so not much truth in that old wives tale for me

Pinkali i too have had pain at bottom on bump - some days there others not - but agree with Doctorswife that we are being stretched so prob nothing to worry about, but if it gets worse then a little reassurance phone call to mw will settle your worries.

zonedout - i might try a few active birth + yoga classes but im put off by the registration fee and the high cost... I will see... Let me know how they are though!

I seem to have exczema on my legs now... I used to have some when i was a younger/vegetarian/chain-smoking strssed-out student but it went away and i havent had anything since. Now that im healthy and much more chilledout ive got three small patches on my legs and i wonder if this is related to being PG?

If you see someone on the tube reading Ina may's priritual midwiefry book and being all emotional and about to cry, well... it's me!

coolkat · 13/06/2008 13:39

Hi Ladies

Wow loads of boys, Hope I get one as DD has made that her request , we have decided not to find out.

I have been having aches in back and around pelvis and yesterday it hurt when I walked so I called my midwife, from the description it sounds like I have a soft pelvis, got to limit walking (we go for lots around the park etc) if still bad in a week I need to call again and she has suggested a support belt. I feel quite sad as hate being restricted and my job involves lots of running around and I would hate people to think I am being a light weight but it reduced me to tears yest.

DH been working lots so nothing been done here!

Sorry for moan. X

Very exciting news on my front...had my constant appointment today and...

Thanks for concern dozymare, in the end I didn't have to say anything although I did have to wait an hour and a half for my appointment. Consultanr did another scan (I think to make up for triplets fiasco). He confirmed it is definitely, definitely, TWINS. And he spent ages on the scan as he was training a very young and pretty girl doctor, so he was showing me the babies' eyes, faces, toes and even...SEXES. He was very definite that it's a girl and a boy. I am SO EXCITED , , . I was trying not to be excited because he may be wrong, but I sooooo wanted a little girl for mine and dh's sake, and so wanted a little boy for ds's sake. He was really good at letting me watch the screen the whole time and pointing everything out. I definitely saw a 'gap' with nothing in it, and a gap with balls and a 'willy wonka' (as the consultant called it, perhaps for benefit of atractive girl doctor!). Well, we're lucky enough to be able to check it out again at 22wks, but in the meantime I know I will have to purchase these little blue vests covered in rose buds which I saw in Mothercare and which are TOO CUTE FOR WORDS. My Mum is going to go a bit mental on girls clothes. Poor little lad won't have any new clothes as his brother has loads, will have to compensate with him, maybe new cot sheets!

coolkat - it is hard sometimes appearing to be a lightweight (I've had lots of practise in this), but it's good to remember, WHO CARES WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS?!

Drs Wife - my bellybutton started popping out at about 8 weeks! It's now totally popped, which looks a bit gross in tigh t-shirts/ anything clingy, but as above WHO CARES?!

Sorry, I am in one of those moods today- happy so I don't give a darn.

MerryMarigold · 13/06/2008 14:13

errr...meant consultant not constant!

misdee · 13/06/2008 14:16

Tinkerisdead · 13/06/2008 14:25

"merry" lol about belly button, i just have this thing that i couldnt put my finger in belly button so feel about funny about it popping out to greet me!! But i suffer from Trypophobia so that may be why...google that one and you can all laugh at me

MerryMarigold · 13/06/2008 14:39

misdee - yes the first 2 scans were incorrect! Think I am relieved, although the excitement of triplets is a little less with twins...

Dozymare · 13/06/2008 14:51

Merrymar what lovely lovey news.....{grin] I am very happy indeed for you and personally, I think 2 boys and a girl is ideal!!! This is what I am hoping for!!!!!!

So mny questions!!

Wow Merry thats great congratulations, you really do sound so happy.
Coolkat hope the pains ease soon, I've been having bad stitch like pains at the bottom of my bump when I work so am now a complete lightweight and refusing to do my job - My manager will be very happy when he comes back from his hols as according to him its too early to be having problems yet????

ceebee74 · 13/06/2008 15:54

Merry - fantastic news! Am so pleased for you and one of each sounds just great!
