Renaissance - Sorry to hear about DH hope he gets well soon.
Thomasina I know what you mean I have a wicker one and had the softer one for downstairs when DS was Tiny, they are a little biyt smaller and don't have any give in the sides but he fitted in both for the same length of time and I did prefer my wicker one!
We never slept with DS in our bed not because we didn't want to but he has always and still does sleep like a starfish and we would have no room left for us. He gets in with us in a morning for an hour and he is a nightmare. He goes back to sleep buit we are too busy hanging onto the sides for dear life .
Finally have work sorted I saw Occupational health today and have been banished to the office until I start Mat leave. Yeay no more heavy files to lug about!!
Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine x

Yorky · 10/06/2008 12:51

Renaissance glad to hear your DH is on the road to recovery, I agree - nothing like and bump or a baby to keep you focussed on the positive.
I went for a walk into town and bumped into my old buggyfit group and ended up doing a workout with them - haven't been for months, don't feel as bad as I thought I might, but will withold judgment till tomorrow!

Pinkali37 · 10/06/2008 13:37

Owch, i've had a bit of an obsession with white toast with peanut butter on it, but now have tummy ache. All down the sides. think i have trapped wind Have just been walking my office thinking if this is how I cope with wind, how the hell am i goign to cope with labour?

Tinkerisdead · 10/06/2008 13:44

pinkali, i still have problems with my scan date as hospital wont let me have it due to the homebirth/independant midwife situation. she is going to call them today, if i dont hear soon i will book a private one. maybe even for 25th of june and keep the sychronisation going!! hold on, i will take a photo of my bump on my phone and post it now, but be warned everyone says im massive so dont freak out on me.

Tinkerisdead · 10/06/2008 14:20

pinkali, i have a new laptop and its on vista and i swear i nearly punched it trying to upload the photo. It should, please lord be on my profile now, i havent included my head!!!! and now i realised by taking a profile shot that my boobs have started to droop so now i have my own pinkali worries about breasts ha ha ha ha x x x

Pinkali37 · 10/06/2008 14:22

That's no bigger than mine so don't worry. I will take an up to date pic of mine too.

Are you on Facebook yet?

SoExcited · 10/06/2008 14:26

Hello everyone, and welcome newbies! I've been away for the last 6 days on a Gold Duke of Edinburgh award trip to the Lake District. Was very hard work (suddenly walking uphill makes me really out of breath!) but really good fun. Fab weather too - hot and sunny the whole time. Managed to trip myself up though, and ripped the knee of my sisters maternity combat trousers, as well as cut my knee. I now have a delightful scab that keeps splitting open if I bend my knee too much - nice?! Reminds me of being 7!

Pinkali37 · 10/06/2008 14:36

Oh no... i just took a picture on my mobile to download and looked at it.. YIKES what on earth has happened to my boobs???? they are massive, like really big. I look about 8 months pregnant. I think i need DH to take a pic on proper camera with the correct lighting, a make up team and a high tech air brush team to download another pic. Alas, I shall get him to take one tonight minus the extravagance of the make up team ... (jsut reailsed I am havign the msot awful day of speling)

Tinkerisdead · 10/06/2008 14:38

Soexcited...ohhh i'd be picking the scab as i did when i was 7, that you fell over though.

pinkali thank god you're same size, otherwise you'd have started me worrying, glad our "twins" seem to be keeping up with each other. i notice how you havent said, "dont worry my norks are on my knees too" so im off to drown myself!

Pinkali37 · 10/06/2008 14:43

Dr's Wife, you've missed my last post!!!

Tinkerisdead · 10/06/2008 14:48

Pinkali37 · 10/06/2008 14:51

Honestly I need DH to take one tonight. I think my arms are too short to get the proper effect!! If i do put this one on, please remember I started off as a 10/12 and more than not a proper 10.

Pinkali37 · 10/06/2008 14:53

Oh thank you. I love my boys (the cats) they are so comical. Basil my spinone had a double blow on friday. He had an eye op and castration all in one op!! He didn't knwo which end to lick, bless him.

Tinkerisdead · 10/06/2008 14:54

Pinkali37 · 10/06/2008 15:11

Done.... DO NOT LAUGH

Pinkali37 · 10/06/2008 15:13

Oh Dr's wife I have insulted you by saying yours is the same as mine, I lied, LOOK mine is huge and my books are in competition with the bump, i god i've swallowed an elephant. You still look neat I am an exploding mess.

Pinkali37 · 10/06/2008 15:14

Sorry I meant BOOBS not books

thomasina1 · 10/06/2008 15:19

Oh you two, I am jealous of your bumps! I am 17 weeks today and am still at the "is she just a bit tubby?" stage I think. Will post photo of bump once I have a proper one like you do!

Bubbaz, thanks for the comment about the moses basket, great, I'll go for that wicker one then.

Just got back from the longest ever antenatal appointment... so far anyway! I was in the hospital for over 2 hours and spent just 10 mins in with the consultant. She was very good though. Right fiasco as she wanted me to have a scan to check my cervix length as I had a biopsy last year to remove some abnormal cells. So off I went up 3 flights of stairs to the ultrasound dept. But oh no, they couldn't just do a scan and wanted me to wait until my 20 wk one. So off I trekked downstairs again. But the consultant was insistent so up I went again... only to find they'd all gone to lunch! Baaah! Anyway, hopefully the consultant is on the case. No idea what they will do if they do find my cervix is too short, anyone know? But anyway they seem to want to find out sooner rather than later.

Well sorry for the mini-rant. Bloody NHS!
