Hi Tegan, how's your nana? Did you see my post about my MIL?

Daisy- P&T the newborn seat and cocoon bit are great, the baby is all snug and protected from the elements, and people love peeking in at the baby! It sways the baby to sleep. I think all doubles are some kind of compromise but I found this pram to be a godsend.

I'm off to see Sex and the City Tonight- hope I stay awake!

PInkyminkyohnooo · 30/05/2008 19:57

I much prefer my older v2 to the newer ones. Sport has lots of issues with the straps and handlebar, and the Vibe looks really bulky and plasticky.

tegan · 30/05/2008 20:29

hi pinky - thanks for the post.

we went round to my mums to visit (that is where nan is staying) and when i was down stairs with mum and dad having a chat we heard a huge thud and na was roaring with laughter, when we went up dh had sat on a old chair to have a chat with her and the chair had cracked and he was wedged in the seat, poor old nan nearly wet herself, so i feel we have achieved something today as with everything going on and losing grandad 4 years ago she beeded a laugh.

ceebee74 · 30/05/2008 20:40

Not had any dreams about this baby but had a very vivid dream with DS - probably at a similar stage I am now - that the baby was a boy. I had wanted a girl up until that point but that dream changed my mind!

Has anyone worked out how to get on this Facebook group yet?

LolaBella · 30/05/2008 22:23

Blimey Merry we can't keep up, first one baby then three now two, your head must be swimming. As you said though you were right on the predictions thread too

Welcome to Twinkle183 too, don't forget to add yourself to our separate stats thread. Maybe we should get one copy of the stats on here too so we can keep up more easily?

Been for my highlights done today so feeling much better. My hair is in great condition lately i don't need to wash it half as much as pre-pregnancy, anybody else?

Off to York races tomorrow so hoping for a winner or two but have to spend the day with a group of friends slowly getting p*ed on champers. Oh well, hoping bub will bring me some luck.

Hello to everyone else

PInkyminkyohnooo · 30/05/2008 23:53

Tegan- what a lovely story! I'm sure it was just the tonic she needed.

Dozymare · 31/05/2008 07:43

Morning All - how are we today?? Chatty yesterday I see!!!

Oblomov and I met yesterday for the very first time - we went to Bluewater shopping for maternity clothes and had such a giggle - especially in the Blooming marvellous changing rooms with her in a swimming costume and me in a sack - literally!!!!!!

She is so lovely and we had such a fabulous time, really nice to meet another Due in November MN - highly recommend it! Was very expensive day out but we both got lots of lovely things!

As for dreams, I have had all sorts of dreams ranging from the horrible (phantom PG) to the bizarre (baby born in a champagne bottle!) All very normal!!!

Facebook group - I thought Chocorange had set one up?? At least I have joined one that she has??!! Actually just realised that is a SW London meet up one so if we want a Due in November group, someone needs to do it (and I am not volunteering as the book club set up confused me so much!!!)

Any takers?!

DM x

morning all

glad you had a nice shopping trip dozy and oblomov.

I will look forward to a Northern meet up at some point, probably in the scholl holidays as half the Leeds lot are teachers! Talking of the holidays, there is a Yorkshire meet up in Roundhay Park, Leeds (5 mins drive from my house tee hee) on the 15th August, all welcome . There is a thread in the meet-ups section and about 20 are coming so far, maybe more.

the boys are off fishing this morning, so DD and I just chiling. She has been up snce 5:30 and refused to go back to sleep after her morning bottle like she usually does. She is getting very grumpy now and needs to go back to bed so I can do some housework, or "I will be fired"

got lots to do in the garden this weekend, including planting some more seeds (which I inadvertently stole from Woolies yesterday ....didn't realise they were in the hood of the buggy till I got back to the car, and had already paid for the parking so couldn't go back with them )

Off to the gardening section to ask some questions

Have a good day everyone; the sun is shining here and it looks lovely out!

bubbaz · 31/05/2008 09:03

There is one on there already which is public group called Thinkbaby due Nov 08 with 3 members already. If you would prefer a private one I could have a go but I am not promising that I will be sucessful!!! Let me know what you think??

bubbaz · 31/05/2008 09:07

I was talking facebook there just incase i'm confusing matters (Half a post - I'm a bit click happy this morn!!)
Tegan hope your nan is OK sounds like you gave her a laugh yesterday!
It is beautiful here too off to try and find a new car as mine is most prob written off .
Enjoy your day everyone x

lackaDAISYcal · 31/05/2008 09:08

groupd admins can change the setting of the group from public to private. It's in the edit group menu, I think!

Will have a look out for the group next time i'm on FB.

am off to put this little girl to bed and then get on with the day before I get sucked in to the argument about the recent spate of threads from very emotionally vulnerable posters.

misdee · 31/05/2008 09:08

Morning ladies.

back down to earth with a bump, referral letter for cardiac scan for bubs has come through. its in less than two weeks time. not looking forward to it. although i am pretty certain everything will be ok, its always a worry getting these letters through.

bubbaz · 31/05/2008 09:10

Thanks Lackadaisy
I have just checked how to create a group and I think it should be easy enough there is already one called MN Due Sept 08.
I will do this if everyone would like me to. I could leave it open until everyone who wants to has joined and then make it private!!

bubbaz · 31/05/2008 09:11

Misdee will have my fingers crossed for you x

Dozymare · 31/05/2008 09:14

Morning againBUbbaz - you can set up a private group as Chocorange has done this for a DW London meet up - you then have to be invited to join and much better I think. I personally am not keen on setting up a public group in case any nosy friends then look up Due in Nov 2008 on here. It would be very for them to work out who I was!

Dozymare · 31/05/2008 09:16

MIssdee sorry forgot to say also how it goes ok. It is a genetic condition or just one of those things???

misdee · 31/05/2008 09:23

not 100% sure tbh. both dh and dd1 had/have a leaking valave, but as dh was dx with that at the same time as he DCM diagnosis, its unclear whether the valve leakage was contributing factor to the dcm, or of the dcm caused the leakage.

bubbaz · 31/05/2008 09:30

Facebook group is created. Now I just need to know who wants to join as I have set it as a secret group and I need to send invites out for it!!
Dozy I obv know your name from the book club thread are you on there as your name with what I think is your maiden name as the middlename??? (Does that make sense??)

bubbaz · 31/05/2008 09:39

Oh now i'm lost if I set the group as secret I can only invite people on my friends list or people not on facebook via e-mail. If it is a closed group no-one can seethe group content BUT you can see the members HELP!!
Sorry to all those people who are not on facebook and do not wish to join for being an idiot and posting repeatedly!!

MerryMarigold · 31/05/2008 10:48

bubbaz, thanks for sorting it. i am on facebook but wouldn't have a hope of setting anything up or helping you out on it. sorry! my name on facebook is my RL name, so very different to my name on here.

MerryMarigold · 31/05/2008 10:49

by the way, i saw midwife yesterday and she told me where the top of my uterus is - above my bellybutton. and i certainly DON'T have a hairy belly button!!

lackaDAISYcal · 31/05/2008 10:59

MM...you are bigger than the rest of us. singletons don't get past the belly button until after about 20 weeks!

Heartmum2Jamie · 31/05/2008 11:48

Daisy, I beg to differ! My uterus is certainly in line with my belly button right now at 18+3, so by 20 weeks will definately be above it, lol! That's what I get for only being 5ft 1, size 12 and generally carry 8lb + babies! I do agree that a multiple pregnancy will meausre different to those of us with singletons.

Misdee, wishing you nothing but the best of luck with the cardiac scan. Glad you are getting better care than me. Still no word here, although letter definately left my OB and is now rattling around the internal post system of Birmingham Women's . Bit annoying when I TOLD them to fax it.

OP posts:
Dozymare · 31/05/2008 13:15

I still can't find my uterus - help!! What does it feel like??!!!

Oblomov · 31/05/2008 14:55

Yeah, me and Dozy had the nicest time. She is so nice. And we bought loads. It was a total success, on all accounts.
