Merrymarigold, what a shock for you, but I agree that it does sound like very good news. HUGS.

I finally had my first dream about the baby! Phew, I was starting to get worried that my subconcious was trying to tell me something by never letting me dream about our baby.

Between the time that dh got up for work and I got up (maybe 45 minutes), I had a dream that the 5 of us were on holiday and were in the swimming complex. We all wanted to go down the slides, so went on the multiple ones so we could all go togther. DH had the baby, DS2 was on the slide next to him, DS1 next and me at the end. DH decided he was going to help the boys at the bottom and handed the baby to me. The baby was about 6 or 7 months old and wearing a cute little PINK swimming costume with frills on the bum and a butterfly on the front. I think she was called Amanda (not a name on our list, lol!), or at least I heard someone call her that, maybe one of the boys. She looked quite alot like DS2 facially but had DS1's chunky butt baby build, lol! She had no real hair to speak of, just a bit of fluffy peach fuzz. She was cute and I could totally see her as part of the family.

Only 13 days until I know if it's true!

Oh no - should I be worried that I haven't dreamnt about our baby by now???

Heartmum2Jamie · 30/05/2008 10:30

I don't think so ChocOrange!! I think in my case it is fear for the babys health/wellbeing was overriding my excitment at having another baby, or at least that is how it felt. I was sure I had dreams earlier than this in my other pregnancies, but I could be wrong as it was more than 4 years ago now. Besides my dreams in previous pregnancy were always of the scary variety, like having a baby and taking it shopping but then leaving it in the shop or on top of the car before driving off, lol! It was very nice for me to have a nice, normal dream where we didn't lose our baby and the baby looked nice and healthy to me.

I am not even sure I had any baby dreams with ds1 .

ChocOrange05 · 30/05/2008 10:53

Ok - I am getting a bit anxious as I still haven't felt anything (I am 17+6 today) and I really want to!

The only dream I had was about bleeding down below while pregnant Luckily thats not actually happened to me but I hope I get a nice dream soon!

Heartmum2Jamie · 30/05/2008 11:11

ChocOrange, this is your first baby right? I didn't feel any movement with ds1 until closer to 20 weeks. I am actually surprised to not feel alot of movement with this baby at 18+2. Don't get me wrong, I know baby is moving, but it is wriggles and squirms as opposed to kicks and punches. I felt alot more from ds2 at this stage, but I am not worried, every baby & pregnancy is differnt. I am sure you will start feeling baby move soon, or may have already felt it but just aren't sure of what you are feeling.

As for your dream, yikes! Those were like the dreams I had with ds2 Thankfully he is fine and almost 4, but it is scary none the less. Hopefully you will also have a nice pregnancy/baby dream soon, maybe after the scan when it feels alot more real? Not long to go for us now!

ChocOrange05 · 30/05/2008 11:21

Heartmum yes its my first so I know its not usual to feel anything until 18 - 20 weeks but I am a very impatient woman

I can't wait for the 20 week scan now - I want some more reassurance! Plus the day after DH and I are going to Barbados for 2 WHOLE WEEKS so I have two things to look forward to in the next 2 weeks!

Tinkerisdead · 30/05/2008 11:36

wow its been busy on hre since yesterday. Merry i dont know what to say you must be on an emotional rollercoaster. one baby, three babies, two babies. I dont know how you enotionally prepare for it if your expectations are always changing. having said that id love it if another one accidently popped out on me after thinking i had a singleton. id love love love twins. Dh tells me that i wouldnt like it when my bugaboo had to go back for a twin buggy

Ive had complete insomnia and then when i do finaly sleep i have crazy mental dreams, im always pregnant in them but ive not dreamt of the baby itself yet. last week i dreamt i spent 169.00 on a barbie house as barbie had to have the same nursery in her house as me!!!!!! WTF???

Just a quick question please.

Can any of you still lie on your tummy without discomfort?
If 'no' I am deffo carrying differently this time as in 1st and 2nd pregs I couldn't by now.

ChocOrange05 · 30/05/2008 17:07

Lady I can lie on my tummy but not for long - but its only been for the past week or so and I am 17+6 today. I'm going to Barbados on holiday in 2 weeks and I have no idea how I am going to tan my back!!??!!

Heartmum2Jamie · 30/05/2008 17:18

I can't lie completely on my belly anymore at 18+2, but can lie mainly on my front if I start on my side, bring the top leg up and then roll to my front. I can't seem to stop myself from rolling onto my back though. I guess you can't help what you do in your sleep

ChocOrange05 · 30/05/2008 17:27

Agghhh - my tummy feels like its about to explode, my skin is so tight this afternoon

bubbaz · 30/05/2008 18:01

LOL Heartmum that is exactly what I do. It doesn't hurt to lie on my front but I can feel a lump and don't want to squash anything!
Chocorange very very at Barbados!

hi guys

Dd and I went into town shopping today and I realised that shops are not made with prams in mind (how wheelchair users cope I don't know, as DD was being swamped in clothes hanging on rails and oprams aren't as wide as wheelchairs)

Have also realised that once DC3 has arrived there will be so chance with a double buggy. Is this the end of my shopping sprees?

Dreams are all perfectly normal. With DD I kept having a recurrent theme in my dreams in that I had several in which I gave birth to a cat . Funny now, but flipping scary at the time.

Does anyone want a free pair of size 16 cropped linen trousers (black) from New Look? I bought them a few weeks ago, but they are no different to a pair I already have . I tried to take them back but they won't give me a refund as I've "lost" the receipt (DD ate it ) and there was nothing esle I fancied so didn't want an exchange or credit note as I don't usually shop there. first come first served......email me on daisybump at yahoo dot co dot uk

bought some new bras, and opted for standard underwired....it makes a change to be supported and comfortable and looking like I have a nice pair rather than a monoboob that is resting on my burgeoning bump

MerryMarigold · 30/05/2008 18:21

ooooh dreams...i haven't had any yet. maybe that would sort out whether it is 3 or 2 babies! think i would trust the dream more. I had a baby girl dream with ds at about 12 weeks, but then a VERY clear baby boy dream at about 20 weeks. he was about 6months in the dream and giggling away,in fact he is JUST LIKE THAT! he even looked like he did in the dream...very cool. so i look forward to some dreams a bit later on. if anyone has a dream about me, let me know .

PInkyminkyohnooo · 30/05/2008 18:51

HI all, this dream chat is interesting. I had loads of weird dreams with DS- lots about dropping him, not putting enough layers on etc, and the chicken feet ones (glad DS wasn't liike he was in my dreams!), but none so far.

Daisy- having had two 17 months apart, all I can say is Phil &Teds. By no means a perfect pram, but you can get it on the bus, in the shops, push it with one hand etc. etc.

That and a good sling- but they are no good for clothes shopping.]

lackaDAISYcal · 30/05/2008 19:24

sorry about the double post. I've been doing it loads recently as DD keeps pressing buttons on the laptop...I don't know how she does it, but something she presses as I click add message makes it repeat.

pinky....I have looked at the P&T but I'm still not sure about the baby being all tucked up under the seat to begin with. I want to show my newborn off to the world in a stupidly proud fashion. When can they sue the seat bit of a P&T? Is it six months?

tegan · 30/05/2008 19:48

Hi girlies

I have been having some mad dreams but none about my baby mainly about ex boyfriends, also i never had any dreams with my dd's.
