We completely filled the last thread so I have started a new one!!

I'll have to go get the list.

Well, haven't been on for ages as been very busy, including a lovely relaxing holiday in France.

Went for scan on Monday, and all is well! One jumping bean in there, barely stayed still long enough to have its picture taken! They put me forward a few days to 7th December, was previously 11th. Could someone please change me on the list as being a bit dim & not sure how to do it? Thanks.

Haven't really been having any cravings, or at least I don't think I have, I'm pretty sure I always had the capacity to scoff a large bar of chocolate all at once! So, don't know what that says about the gender. Psychic lady at work says she thinks I'm having a boy, and that was my feeling in the beginning although wavering a bit now! Will be happy whatever.

Great to hear about everyone else's good scans, so sorry for those that haven't turned out how you'd hoped

Well, scan yesterday went really well. The baby is fine and everything so far looks spot on so that's a massive relief.

Hatty Leeds Screening Centre was okay; I don't think I had the best experience because I arrived early, so she took me in early and my bladder wasn't full enough to get a clear picture. So, she sent me out to drink a few cups of water, and she said she's have me back in 20 minutes - my original appointment time. When it finally came around, and I was needing a wee quite badly, another couple had arrived and she took them in instead. I then had to wait 25 minutes for them to have their appointment. I was in AGONY! I thought I was going to wee on the floor; it was far worse than my 20 week NHS one with DD. Then she shut the office door and made a phonecall!!!!!! I went and told the receptionist that I was in pain and unless I was scanned soon, I would be having an accident in their waiting room! After 55 minutes I went back in. Because I was really uncomfortable, she rushed through it - it lasted all of 5 minutes.

I was really happy with the scan results and I was pleased I went, but I was disappointed with the appointment generally. Drink a pint of water an hour before to give it chance to work through, but no more than that and don't go early unless your bladder is already full!!! My friend has been and had a better time, though it was over in 10minutes. This was also a nuchal fold scan.

Mine yesterday was fine as well which is a huge relief. Because we've had bad news at a scan before I hate them and find them really stressful-it went on for ages too as the baby keep moving about so they struggled to get measurements. Trisomy 21 came back as 1 in 9600 and Trisomy 18/13(which is the abnormality we have had before)was 1 in 4300 so very relieved.

Wow majormoo, those are great stats! I had my results for the combined nuchal + blood test and got 1:1800, so I'm happy with that

DH is out with friends tonight and I burst into tears before he left. Think the build up to the scan has been such a weight on my mind the last couple of weeks, it all just came out.

Okay, I'm having a sulk now.

I put on my bridesmaid dress - wedding this Saturday - and it's filled to capacity. Suddenly I look extremely pregnant, and it's come out of nowhere in the last week. I was chubby before, but now I look like I'm about six months gone. I'm guessing they'll be so when I tell people I'm just 3 months!! I've put on about 5lbs so far, which is nowt when you're a bigger girl!

I'm shocked because it goes right up, under my boobs - this cannot be baby as it's still titchy? I don't understand? Is anyone else looking big yet?

May I have a go at the list too? I've been keeping a close track of all the updates!

Oh abbymeg you poor thing. Don't feel sad, I'm sure you'll look lovely. I used to work as a seamstress, and there's often a little bit of allowance in the seams - can you have it let it out a bit for you so you're not so self-conscious? It probably fit your measurements from a while ago and of course you're not going to stay the same weight when carrying a bub. If it makes you feel any better I'm not fitting any of my clothes at the moment either... sounds like we both need a bit of shopping therapy eh? Also you could get some support undergarments to smooth things out a bit, which is what I had to do for my work to fit my clothes when I was still only about 9 weeks so that no one guessed I was pregnant. They weren't too tight of course - just kind of smoothed out ma fat bits so that they didn't look so obvious!

abbeymeg bet you will look lovely. I seem to look huge already-MIL and DH both commented on it today-so you are not alone

abbymeg I look mahoosive . But I'm not complaining because A LADY GAVE ME HER SEAT ON THE TRAIN TODAY!!!!! I must look pg! I know what you mean about it going right up under your boobs. I don't understand that either... the baby's still teenytiny, but I suppose it's just our bodies planning ahead .

I'm going to venture into maternity clothes soon (had some headaches with MAT B1 forms etc so can't do things officially at work the way I'd like to) but I think it's time the Bumplet was out and proud!

Hope you feel a bit cheerier about it soon. I am blaming it all on the fact my body's done it all before - and I see from the list that you have that (perfectly legitimate!) excuse too. By the way - well done on 5lbs. I haven't dared weigh myself as I used to have a thing about my weight and since DD I've been bigger than I like and I don't want to get paranoid... I'm just going by the fact that all my pre-pg clothes fit everywhere apart from boobs and tummy, which I think is just fine!

abbymeg I am quite big too. But mine isn't up to my boobs yet.

Verso I have had problems with the MAT B1 form. The MW can't give it to you until you are 20 weeks but that isn't stopping work asking for it.

My mum took me out for a meal tonight and it was gorgeous. It was italian and I had a pizza and it was huge. So I got DH a doggy bag.

I made a new acronym the other day to describe myself. FAF it means Fat and Frumpy. That is so how I have felt the last few days.

I'm with you all on the big belly that goes right up situation.

Have found it really hard to try to conceal and difficult to try to wear the same clothes as normal.

I've gained 2lbs if that, but my body must have been very busy moving stuff about because I am up a size in trousers and 2 cup sizes and one back size in bras!!

I have my scan tomorrow though, and DH and I have said we would wait until after this to tell people so I guess I will be able to let it all hang out by the weekend.

I've moved myself as after the scan they changed my dates slightly (only 4 days but could make a difference ).

I'm sure my stomach muscles are shot to pieces and I always look a bit bulgy anyway . Still managing in my usual clothes but starting to need to undo buttons. I did unearth a pair of maternity jeans though. I'm hoping to keep it quiet from the other mums at school and surprise them after the summer holidays by appearing with a bump .

I told my parents yesterday-I sent them the scan pic. I was getting a bit worried because my mum hadn't phoned (my dad is pleased ) but she's away in Liverpool at some WI thing .

Morning all

My latest tip for MS is porridge: DS and I are tucking into some now and I find it fills me up (hence stopping me from feeling sick for longer. Cereal doesn't cut it any more - I'm reaching for the snacks as soon as I get to work! Stewed some apple yesterday to go with it which is a success with DS

Glad yours scans went well, esp your low risk results Majormoo . Less than 2 weeks to go for me - can't believe I'm 10 weeks already. I def have a bump, but not up to my boobs yet - there's an inch or so of clearance (for now). I'm a few weeks behing most of you though, so will prob catch up soon enough. Stomach muscles def shot.

I was very into porridge a few weeks ago too Effieperine! Now I've turned to the normal cereals which I could eat all day! They are the only thing I really want to eat, and would have it for breakfast lunch and dinner but am stopping myself and making sure I have at least one half decent meal a day!!

I am about to tcuk into some home made muesli. Good for the digestion - am suffering on that count already alas despite my huge F and V intake, so extra prunes on top this morning.

Hope you are all ok. Is anyone having a scan today - good luck if so. And has artichokes been back since hers on Tues?> She was going to ask about the sex and I am dying to know. So far we have one girl (LadyT) and no other confirmed sightings. Hotmama, will you ask after your CVS results? I am wavering with mine. This pg feels exactly like DD1 (the girliest girl inthe world) but you never know. I'll need loads of advice if it is a boy as I dont know anything about them! Well, not as tiny babies!

I've also got a bump all the way up and I'm very relieved to read I'm not the only one. I thought there must be something wrong with me. I was looking longingly at maternity jeans in the only shop that sells such things where I live - £67 !! I'll have to hang on till I can face the hour's bus journey into town so I can look in H&M.

I'm also hitting the fruit'n'fibre but things aren't as drastic as when I was expecting DD. I think it's because I'm walking round more rather than sitting at a desk in the office.

I too have 'grown' all the way up, and when I've told people the news they've said, oh yes, I kind of guessed

Anyway, on Saturday morning I am going to try out a pre-natal exercise class which is supposedly good for relaxation, breathing & all sorts of other things. Unfortunately, it will be a one-off as the lady running it is going on maternity leave herself! But I hope to get some tips to take home, & meet some other mums-to-be in my area. Then next week I may well try aquanatal classes as you can do those from 14 weeks at my local pool. Has anybody done those & are they worth it?

Jen: I did aqua classes (not pg one) when pg with DS and they were great, esp later on when you're big and heavy. The water takes your weight which is blissful

Am thinking about Doing More Exercise once the nausea and tiredness subsides. Am trying to walk more with DS on my days off, but sitting on my (expanding) arse in an office 4 days a week is not helping.

BTW, if you haven't read Vicky Iovine's books on pg I would recommend it. V good on how you put on loads of weight on arse and hips and well as bump. Well, I do
