Thought I'd do this and post my last comments:

Hi all. Glad to hear more good scan news!

We had MIL visit this weekend and she is such hard work. She literally never lifted a finger and kept going back to bed every couple of hours. I've asked DP not to let her come again for a while as it's hard work waiting on someone.

We also finally put DS in his 'big boy bed'. Went quite well - he went to bed no problems, but he woke up at 2am crying as he'd got stuck under the duvet. He was then awake for a couple of hours so I'm feeling shattered today. Anyone of you with older children got any tips?

Slinkie we'll be near each other for mat leave won't we? We can have some fun together I'm sure.

Meglet I'm the same as you with the whole bf thing. I hated it last time and was relieved when I gave up. I keep veering to and fro with regards to trying it for this baby. I had such a happy time last time round, really enjoyed the whole experience, and am worried that attempting to bf will make the whole thing fraught.

Hello everyone!
Well lollipop, great list, I'm in awe! Please add me as a surprise for gender...but speculating boy. Or girl. Or boy. Ok, def settling on boy today.

I think I've just added some of you on facebook, my name is Caz Byrne if you want to add me. There's three of us but I'm the one wearing a blue coat holding a curly haired toddler!

I'm gonna start a 'due sept 08' facebook group but I'll make it request only, then we can share photos

I had an ex contact me on facebook, I took the opportunity to boast about dh and dd then rejected his friend request. Tee hee. I'm not normally a mean person at all, I promise!!

Jenbot · 28/05/2008 19:43

Ooh. I'll add everyone on facebook too - I'm Jen King.

carrieon · 28/05/2008 19:44

I've created the group here, I couldn't think of what photo to put as the profile one so I just used one of my scan photos, but all ideas for better pics gratefully received!

mustsleep · 28/05/2008 20:06

Becaroo - You've described your heartburn exactly like mine was, as if I had something massive stuck in my throat, it was rather like still being unable to swallow dinner 5 hours after eating it. Very painful.

My mum has the issue wither the stomach/throat valve that you describe, it has been eroded through her taking Ibuprofen just before bed/lying down, don't believe it repairs itself.

Sassafrass · 28/05/2008 20:44

I tried joining the group but nothing whatsoever happens when I click on join group. I'm on facebook as Linda Bengtsson and would love to join.

Sassafrass · 28/05/2008 20:45

nm, figured it out. Had my security settings too high as usual.

eandz · 28/05/2008 20:52

sassafrass...
can i add you to my facebook?

mamamufin · 28/05/2008 20:55

Ive requested more of you as facebook friends! I have also requested to join the group you have created carrrieon Please except me x

lollyheart · 28/05/2008 21:05

sassafrass there are lots of you with your name have you got a profile pic?

Pidge · 28/05/2008 21:18

'Fraid I'm not a facebook user. It's all I can do to cope with my RL social life and then my forays onto mumsnet!!! Might get tempted one of these days though.

Lollipop - I'm down for a SURPRISE!!!

Jennylindinha - am I right in thinking you were also cycling to work? How are you finding it these days? I am beginning to find it tough going and am only 5 months. Last time I didn't quit till 8 months, and I don't remember it being this hard. I'm alright in the morning, but on the way home it seems to be always blowing a gale in my face and or raining. And my bump feels enormous. Anyway, I'm only doing it 1 day this week, and have a long weekend away, so maybe I'll be re-energised next week!

Sassafrass · 28/05/2008 22:44

My profile pic is a 3 year old blond girl sitting just inside a trampoline net and holding a big teddy. Anyone here is very welcome to add me to their friends.

carrieon · 28/05/2008 22:47

Sassafrass I haven't received a request from you I'm afraid, and there's three pages of people with your name!

I'm heading off to bed for another night of being totally bunged up, breathing through my mouth, drinking pints of water to sooth my dry throat, then going to the loo every hour coz I've just drunk too much water. We could hear dd snoring down the baby monitor tonight, it was just too cute!

carrieon · 28/05/2008 22:50

Scrub that sassafrass, you've joined the group and I've friend requested you!

Slightly alarmed at the rate that my virtual life is catching up with my real one, but I'm just so nosey, and love showing off pics of my wonderful dh and lovely dd!

Really really really off to bed now. Lots of nipple cheese last night, wonder if there's more?!

Pelvic floors ladies...

Sassafrass · 28/05/2008 22:55

Thanks Carrieon. I've uploaded a pic of me and dd =)

I've spent the evening watching the birthday dvd from the NCT and writing CVs for my dh. He now really really needs to get a job and he's rubbish at writing applications so I'm helping out. Watching the dvd really made me wish I didn't have to wait a couple of months to meet the baby and made me hope even more for a vbac.

carrieon · 28/05/2008 23:06

I found my favourite newborn babygrow in the loft tonight, we're having a teeny tiny brand new baby, hooray! Then it booted me in the bladder. Now I can't decide if I'd rather it stay in or get out!

jennylindinha · 28/05/2008 23:45

Lollipop - please put me down as a Surprise too. It's much better than the few question marks which I put before!

Pidge, yes I'm still cycling and finding it ok (now that I've given in to the very unflattering but oh-so-comfortable overbump leggings...) but I am much slower than I used to be! The weather this week isn't helping either. I know what you mean about the gale constantly in your face. I am just hoping that this weather will finally mean the end of those horrible little fluffy things that fly off the plane trees, they seem to be everywhere. I am sick of getting them in my eyes and up my nose!

Am hopping mad today though, I always leave my bike chained up outside work and came out to find that someone (or their bike) had totally bent the big chain cog at the front - the one the pedals are attached to it! I've tried to fix it with a hammer but it won't straighten and the chain will not stay on. So pissed off as I've had to get the bus and I have to get 3 to get directly to my flat grrrr...

Ah well, I've been meaning to invest in a new bike anyway so this could be the time to take the plunge and shell out for it.

I am on facebook but only really use it for Scrabulous - just can't keep up these days, but will check out the group.

mamamufin · 29/05/2008 09:14

Sorry to hear about your bike jen .

I have added some photos to our facebook group.

Have a nice day, chat later xx

potxola · 29/05/2008 09:27

Hi,
I am afraid I am not going to join Facebook. I spent enought time at the computer at the moment. I hope you will be all still posting here, please!!!!!!!!!!!!!.We will miss you.

eandz · 29/05/2008 09:34

I don't think anyone is leaving mumsnet Potxola.

you know, the sunggle nest is called a sleeper in america. I can't wait to buy one for myself.

hopefully · 29/05/2008 09:38

Well I'll still be posting here! I think there are enough of us who struggle with technology and have just about worked out MN.

I really want my pram to arrive so I can play with it! And probably discover that only DP can put it up/down/change the seat/fix the carseat. Ah well, got ages to work it out (I hope!)

I have no idea about braxon hicks, but I feel that recently my tummy has been going rock hard for short periods, completely painlessly, and then yesterday when it was happening there was kind of a very mild dull ache when it went hard. Is this the beginnings of BH? I remember my friend's being much worse, so I assume they'll increase in intensity, if this is them?

bogie · 29/05/2008 09:40

I won't leave mumsnet I have been posting on here for 2 years and don't intend to stop anytime soon
