Thought I'd do this and post my last comments:

Hi all. Glad to hear more good scan news!

We had MIL visit this weekend and she is such hard work. She literally never lifted a finger and kept going back to bed every couple of hours. I've asked DP not to let her come again for a while as it's hard work waiting on someone.

We also finally put DS in his 'big boy bed'. Went quite well - he went to bed no problems, but he woke up at 2am crying as he'd got stuck under the duvet. He was then awake for a couple of hours so I'm feeling shattered today. Anyone of you with older children got any tips?

Slinkie we'll be near each other for mat leave won't we? We can have some fun together I'm sure.

Meglet I'm the same as you with the whole bf thing. I hated it last time and was relieved when I gave up. I keep veering to and fro with regards to trying it for this baby. I had such a happy time last time round, really enjoyed the whole experience, and am worried that attempting to bf will make the whole thing fraught.

ooh sorry just seen post about excel could you add DD age 2.1 to mine? Thanks!

Sunshinemummy · 28/05/2008 16:26

Lollipopmother would you mind updating my age to 38 and DS to 2.2? No worries if it's a pain.

Lollipop, you are scarily organised! You may even give my colour coded spreadsheet a run for its money (which incidentally, DP saw again last night, and laughed for about an hour).

You can add me as a 'surprise'!

potxola · 28/05/2008 17:05

Hi. Thanks for the advise on ebay. I now how it works now and I will have a go.

I am so looking forward to having my little girl now. I have received today the snugglenest and I can wait. It is just lovely. I know during the day I won't be able to cuddle her as much as I did with my first born because he will be around. That and the BF on demand made me decide this sleeping option.
I have also bought today a very girly grobag sleeping bag on sale from "That cute age" and the swadding wrap for those first weeks after the C-Section.
I am so excited !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone stop me buying things. It is not so bad really, I look for the best prices on the net and so far I have saved lots.
I also want to buy the tummytub. In ebay is more expensive than in the shops but I will keep an eye on it.
I think now I only need new matresses , the nursing bras, nappies etc... I AM READY!

In a month the consultant will book the date of the C-section.
I wonder whose baby will came first to the world. I hope mine arrives still in September. I am due the 8th Sept, but the c-section is done a week before. Who knows?

mamamufin · 28/05/2008 17:19

Gosh Potxola you seem so sorted now. Have you any thoughts on what school year you would prefer your dd to be in. I think the cut off is the 3rd of sep here. My ds is going to be the oldest in the school year and I think this babe will be the same. In a way I am pleased as he will be at an advantage but actually he is ready for school now and I would save a fortune on childcare . Anyway How exciting for you to be able to choose!

lollipopmother · 28/05/2008 17:32

No problem, I will do all the changes tonight, I am just off to catch my coach home now - I feel down the stairs of the bloody thing this morning, only about 4 steps but I fell on my ass onto the curb, very amusing for all the bystanders!!

lollyheart · 28/05/2008 17:45

bogie and lollipop ine added you both to facebook.

lollipop im having a boy not a girl.

eandz · 28/05/2008 18:40

bogie and lollipop, i tried adding both of you.

bogie i'm not sure if i added you or someone who shares your name. i guess i'll find out eventually.

i saw sex and the city the movie this afternoon and i thought it was fantastic!

mustsleep · 28/05/2008 18:45

izzybiz the toro looks great in rl saw it at toys r us last week and dh practically had to restrain me from buying it

the only down side is you would def need the carrycot from birth as the seat is no good until they are 3months i think.also it folds with one hand which is great for the bus but to unfold it you need both hands how daft is that which is what ruked it out for me

the bee looks pretty cool!

mamamufin · 28/05/2008 18:47

Gosh, Ive added four of you. Definately eandz, lollyheart and littleccon Not sure who else, I am getting confused .
Be careful on the stairs lolli
I cant wait to see sex and city eandz.
Night all. I am having a mumsnet free night x

eandz · 28/05/2008 18:49

Oh! StarlightMckenzie,

I've had several ex'es that have threatened to kill themselves if i left them...and i always left them saying "if thats what you want to do" ...thing is though, up till now all of them are still alive

but yeah, scary ex'es. I changed the spelling of my first name...but i'd also put myself on high privacy settings until just recently. so i hear ya on the need to stay private.

mustsleep · 28/05/2008 18:51

bogie and lolli i think i've added both of you to my facebook but am getting slightly confused now

potxola · 28/05/2008 18:56

Mamamuffin
Good morning, because you are supposed to be away from the computer now.
I did not know I could choose school year if she is born around the Sept 1st. My ds was born also in Sept and does not start till he is 5 yrs and 3 months., In jan 2010. He does not have a choice.
I would love to watch Sex and the city.

eandz · 28/05/2008 19:08

Sex and the City was good, please see it if you have the time...and see it with a good girl friend .

mustsleep · 28/05/2008 19:11

Quick peak, cant help it [blush}.

Not sure of the official dates or if they vary from area to area (maybe a teacher could help?). But, What I meant was that if your cs was booked before or after this cut of for school year date you could in theory choose. It certainly would be worth thinking/finding out about me thinks.
not sure to what extent you could choose the cs date either.

Gosh I hope none of you Ive added onto my facebook are secret psychos!

mamamufin · 28/05/2008 19:23

Congrats on your Boy news bikerunski
Mustsleep if you have a jane then thats me . hmm How will I know if Ive got you?

becaroo · 28/05/2008 19:27

Starlight...the doc told me I cant take ranitadine because I'm pregnant?????

Went to docs yesterday morning as hda bad pains in chest and throat all night and she sent me straight to local hospital who didnt even examine me, actually.

Couldnt start the meds til today as you only take one before breakfast. (and they are horrid!)

Pram arrived today! although what with feeling so rubbish, getting ever bigger and my ds being off school for a week I am starting to wonder how the hell I will ever cope with a (very deamnding) 5 year old and a baby! Sleepless nights on the way for me, I think
