thanks for your thoughts - all good with the mw, bp nice and low 88/56 so good to travel. Got to pick GP letter up next weds.

Just had a quick 15 min nap on the settee...now off to play at a friends house. I had planned to go into town and get a new bra from Bravissimo but sleep was a more appealing idea!

Used my empty folic acid tub to pee in!! NOw have a new pee jar from mw for next appt in 4 weeks.

Sun is shining - hope you all have nice pleasant days too!!
laters x

Captain, just shot you an email...forgive me I hadn't read you last post. Glad you found a pot. OH and that all is well.{grin]

Seriously Sazzles I hate it when those baby catalogs arrivel. I feel obligated to go through them but then just shake my head going "who buys all that stuff." This it hits me, THE FIRST TIMERS.....sorry for those in that category but you do end up with loads you don't need.

OKAY I came up with another baby name last night. Please tell me what you really think about Georgia Viviann. DD1 is Kinsley Grayson. Our last name is two syllables and seven letters. All three of DH's names are seven letters and my first and last name are seven letters apiece too. Sort of an accidental theme. Again, Georgia Viviann.

TS, name is really lovely!!!

Hi to everyone else, my dd is still not 100% and waking up all hours of the night so I am shattered today!!!xx

Buckets · 02/05/2008 13:46

Don't like the Viviann spelling, TS, prefer Vivien or Vivienne but I guess that doesn't fit your 7 letter rule. Georgia's nice (better than that Jorja actress on CSI LOL.)

poppysocks · 02/05/2008 13:51

Georgia on the shortlist here too. Finally sorted out the Emily issue with my parents, but I'm still not 100% with the idea, but love the name. So... we have shortlist of those two plus Alexandra and will decide when DD is here. Rather enjoying the thought of holding off on the decision as DD had her name for months before she made an appearance.

Glad the appointment went well CC.

alittlebitshy · 02/05/2008 17:00

just seen this - hoping miamla got in touch with someone useful.

CaptainCaveman · 02/05/2008 18:01

Hope you got to see the mw or went to the hospital miamla, thinking of you and hoping to hear soon that all is well.

TS just emailed you back!

Where's dizzy gone?

sazzles get you on your night out - drinking pimms, you posh bird! Hope your dd feels better soon!

I'm off to the pub tonight!!

Well Sazzles I like them both so in my mind you couldn't go wrong no matter which choice you made.

Funny I looked at bedroom things for DD today too. Didn't purchase anything because I'm not sure if I'll let her keep the queen or get her something new. I've located a bunk that has a queen bottom and a twin top...which I think I'd prefer. But then I wonder if two twins would be best. The twins though don't allow enough room for me to curl up with either one of them if they need me...like when they are sick. The queen/twin would give me that option as long as the sick kid where on the bottom bunk.

Captain, emailed you. I'll say it again....I'm totally jealous of your trip.

DH took the afternoon off today. He met DD and I at her school then took us to this wonderful new italian restuarant for lunch. I AM STUFFED!! The food was excellent. I will be returning there OFTEN. Now we're piled up in bed snoozing....well I'm not snoozing yet but will be soon after I post here and read all my emails which in four hours the tally is 24 (everybody waited until today to email me it seems).

I just read Miamla's thread. I think she'll be fine. Brown is always better than red but proper care doesn't need to be postponed because the MW is late calling her back. I'd be at the doctor's or hosptial ASAP. 28 weeks (which technically she's in the 28th week) is not a terrible time to give birth but would require a bit of prenatal care (with excellent outcomes). My thoughts are with you Miamla, where ever you are at the moment.

OH I almost forgot....
Thanks for the positive response about the name Georgia. Oddly my MIL didn't like it. OH WELL but my own father did (seems I have a dead aunt who had the same name). DH is holding out saying he's not going to SELECT the name now but he acts like he really likes it and he laughed a lot when DD kept yelling it over and over in the car today. I guess it helps that DH is originally from Georgia (the state) and his a HUGE University of Georgia football fan. That said, I'm waiting to see what my FIL thinks about the name....(Georgia boy & fan as well).

Been keeping up with the thread, but too sore to post apart from to say, saw physio today for SPD. She had to do several things with my back and legs and pelvis to check how bad it is, didn't hurt at the the time, walked out of there with a belt support thing on, went to sleep for a few hours, felt great, then my ds went to his grandparents untill tomorrow, me an dh went down the pub so I could watch him drink beer while I had orange juice, get up to leave - and terrible pain with the spd and can hardly walk or sit comfortably, think it was the physio moving my bones and stuff and pushing down on my pelvis to feel the extent of it, wish I'd took her up on her offer of crutches now. AAARGH!

I agree with you sazzles, I would be suspicious of dh too......Talking of beds, we paid £329 for ds' new bed a few weeks ago, will try to find a link....

Ds and I got up at 6am (not through my choice I hasten to add, ds thought it would be a good time to be getting up). Had an extra hours nap on the sofa and then felt marginally more human. Dh has just woken up, a full 3.5 hours after us .

dizzy are you Missing In Action?

miamla praying all is well with you and lo. Hoping to hear from you vvvvvv soon.

ts how lovely is your dh to do that and take you out for a meal? Italian sounds yummy too, even at 09.56am.....

What are your plans for today ladies? I'm off to town on my own !

CaptainCaveman · 03/05/2008 09:58

sazzles it's this bed but without all the paraphenalia underneath it. Ds loves it but thinking about it, your dd is prob way too small for this! Ho hum x

TwilightSurfer · 03/05/2008 11:45

Up at 6:30am too. Nobody else is but I guess my internal clock went off. I should go shower and dress so I can be ready for soccer...not mine but DDs.

I'm still hurting this morning, though. Odd achey almost pointy pains. Just had one in the pelvic floor area. I can't figure out how the baby is positioned but she woke me twice last night thumping around. 25 weeks now. Might have to go into therapy to get through the next 10.

That's right. Dizzy came in and muddied up the place and hasn't been back since. Now I am worried....not like her to be so quiet.

OP posts:
cyteen · 03/05/2008 12:35

People are making me very worried! miamla hope you are okay and being looked after by a team of useful professionals, and dizzy come back and let us know that things are okay with you - it's not normal, you being gone for such a long time. Jennylee, just ouch SPD sounds awful, wishing you an easier time of it from now on.

TS I am rather jealous of your lovely Italian meal, although can't say I mind missing out on the bed shopping dilemmas. Re. names, I think Georgia is lovely but Maggie still has the edge for me...either choice is a good'un though

I'm taking it easy today as I properly knackered myself out yesterday. Got up at 6am to finish off my essay, had shower, dashed off to library to print essay and drop off two massive heavy books, then dashed up the tower to hand it in. Got it in with 45 minutes to spare then went into town to get some bits and drop off the third massive heavy book before heading to work - powered off through the park before realising I hadn't had any breakfast and my bump was full of stitch-like pains. Walked v slowly from then on and treated myself to some nice M&S lunch food while I was in town, but I was still completely shagged by the time I made it to the office. Felt rotten when I went to bed last night and still a bit rubbish when I woke up, so I am taking a lesson from that and being much less energetic today.

Going down to London with DP in a bit to see some friends, which will be lovely.

Hello everyone, we bought a cot mattress today. The man in the mattress shop was hilarious (imagine this conversation in Spanish for true authentic effect). The setting was a big old fashioned shop on a main road, with lots of mattresses in.

Us. Walk into the empty shop. After a couple of minutes the shop keeper appears.

"Hello, good day, do you have a mattress 1.20 by 0.60?"

Pause

Pause

He walks over to look at a pile of mattresses.

Pause

Him "Yes"

Pause

He climbs up a ladder and brings it down.

Pause

Collects book. Checks price. "84 pesos"

So we pay for the mattress and take it with us.

Perhaps he didn't bother with the small talk because he knew that we were going to buy the mattress anyway!

But still, nice for us to feel that we are slowly getting ready for the baby. We ordered the cot last week, and it will arrive in a few weeks time.

Off to a wedding tonight, am wearing compression stockings today in an attempt to keep my ankles slightly less swollen by the time I want to wear pretty shoes tonight.

I'll echo sending good thoughts, and prayers to everyone on this board.
