missmama · 24/04/2008 15:46

Hi Dis Lovely Belly Are you 6 weeks already?

Same as everybody else here I thought you had all gone quiet, didnt know you were partying over here without me!

Minster That was me on Tuesday night too! TMI here, was sat on the loo from 3.30 till 4.30 then had to get back up at 5.
Felt so rough the next day had to have the day off and get somebody else to take the kids to school for me. Then I fell asleep on the sofa and forgot to phone in sick anyway

missmama · 24/04/2008 15:49

And I have an apointment with the nurse tomorrow so will be taking a bottle of wee with me on the school run
Has everybody else already been?
I am sure they will change my date from Christmas Day LMP was 20/3 so am not sure if I have calculated rightor not.

nandos · 24/04/2008 16:03

Disenchanted · 24/04/2008 16:11

Im just going by my last period date which makes me 6 weeks tomorrow, but i think Im a bit less, will just wait and see by the scan dates.

Annagt · 24/04/2008 16:22

HI all- thanks for your kind words last night- I was freaking out- I freaked out this morning to with terrible nausea and not being able to wake up. I called the GP in a bit of a panic and got an early appointment- He was really cool and made me feel so much better- he also confirmed the Due date to be Christmas Day. So I'm excited about that. Then I went over to a friends place who is also prego (due on Saturday!!) and she calmed me down a lot with peppermint tea- I don't know if you all have tried that- but it worked GREAT for me. After a few cups and a little more rest I could eat!!- and boy did I eat!- finally!

pwcbird · 24/04/2008 16:40

Hello everyone,
I haven't been on for a few days. Finally, at 8+4 and a seemingly eternal wait I've got my scan for 21st May. I also saw my gp today who did bloods etc. Did my first wee in a pot since DS (now 20 months). Ahh, the joys of peeing in a pot! Also went to M&S and bought a pair of elasticated waisted stretchy black trousers. Total granny-dom and completely, desperatly unfashionable but my jeans, though not tight to do up are really uncomfy and If I wear a wrap dress over them... maybe.. just maybe they'll look ok???
Glad everyone ok. xx

southernbelle77 · 24/04/2008 16:48

Been to docs and got my first appointment for 6th May. According to doctor my due date is now 24th December!

Disenchanted · 24/04/2008 16:50

I rang the hospital today as my doctor said it would take a wek for the referal to go through.

So I rang and my referal is for an appoinment by phone on May 6th, on which I have to ring them and make an appointment!!

Soo the GP refered me for a phonecall on 6th May at which i will then get my appointment date!

Agess away!

toratora · 24/04/2008 16:58

Have finally been to see my GP and will hopefully get a scan through for the next few weeks to confirm dates as I have no idea, although the doctor guessed about 8 weeks.

So worried about having another MC, I seem to spend my life in the loo checking I wish I could just forward the next few weeks!

nandos · 24/04/2008 17:00

oh dear..
my phonecall appt is on the 20th may. i dont know when i will get my 1st scan to be honest. just feel like getting a private scan cos' i havent even told my dearest mom n dad abt my pregnancy.
if my scan date is beyond 20th may, then i would be 13wks by then ..and thats like 4th month of pregnancy!

Annagt · 24/04/2008 17:24

I think I messed up- I was feeling so excited that I broke down and told my parents about the pregnancy. They were SUPER UNBELIEVABLY excited since this will be their first grandbaby. I spoke to them today again and my father had already rung his mates to tell them. And I'm only 5 weeks! Oh well- I can't do anything about it but it seems as though I have to tell everyone about it now since my father let it out of the bag- I dont want my cousins and extended family to know if I dont tell them!!
UGG!!!! What do I do??They have the biggest mouths!!

snowwombat · 24/04/2008 18:34

does anyone have any suggestions for how to break the news to one of your dearest friends who has already had two MC, has been ttc for 3 years and seems to be surrounded by more and more pregnant women? I am so desperate not to upset, but knowing how hard I found listening to other people get pregnant when we had been ttc for ages,I know this is going to be so so difficult for my friend

southernbelle77 · 24/04/2008 18:40

snowwombat - I know what how you feel. When I fell pregnant with dd, I had a friend at work who had been trying for a very long time to have a baby but to no avail. In the end I said that I knew it might be hard, but that I wanted to tell her in person so she knew that I understood it would be difficult etc. She was really pleased for me and was pleased I had wanted to tell her.
I hope you are able to tell her and she takes it ok.

Verso · 24/04/2008 18:56

snowwombat I completely agree with southernbelle about how to tell your friend. It will be difficult for her, but knowing you have wanted to tell her in the most sensitive way you can will mean a lot to her.

Indith - love your comment re the blooming

Feeling verrrrry sick tonight. Hurrah! Gives me hope when I feel queasy.

Those of you worrying about m/cs it really is true what the PP said about us all being more likely to have a baby this Christmas than not. (I'm sorry if I have wibbled about my m/cs a bit much and made it look more common than it is!)

Dis - phenomenal bump! You have my respect. I just have a wobbly tummy from too many pies DD .

ChutneyMary · 24/04/2008 19:49

Sick as a dog here I'm afraid. Had to have a wee sleep this afternoon on the sofa with DD1 glued to Cbeebies and DD2 in cot. Feel rank. And am working tomorrow.

Am having a "how will I ever cope with 3" day today. Feeling very apprehensive. Anyone got any words of wisdom?

chinchi · 24/04/2008 20:01

Wow! Second thread already! Im abit slow on catching up- our car was stolen and found burnt out yesterday so Ive been busy trying to sort that out.

I burst into tears when I saw the car- dont think the pregnancy hormones helped!

Wow disenchanted fab bump! I still have my baby fat from DS so hard to tell how much of that is new LO and how much is lack of excercise!

Thankfully only been sick twice, but feel very nauseous and tired. Im trying my best to make more of an effort with pampering myself to see if I feel any better Ive also been a bit of a cow to DH which I feel bad about, but he said he's used to it from the last pregnancy!

Ive discovered a craving for apples (a bit of an healthier option compared to DS when I craved beer Thanks for the wonders of Kaliber)!

Sorry your feeling down ChutneyMary I feel apprehensive about having 2 so sorry I cant offer much advise, but Im sure once the sickness goes you'll feel more positive.

Hope Ive not ranted on too much!

IceCube · 24/04/2008 21:15

Chinchi - on no, car being nicked is the last thing you need, think I'd cry even if not pg.

Disenchanted - that is an impressive bump, I'm planning to get DH to so a piccie each month to show the progress, guess I need to get on with taking the first one.

mibbes · 24/04/2008 21:38

disenchanted sorry you are feeling so , IKWYM but I feel as each day passes it gets more possible that 12wk scan will be ok - my biggest concern is lack of symptoms. WOW that is an impressive bump !!
Annagt I don't think I know many mums that had a totally booze-free first few weeks before they knew they were PG. I had a work night out at 9dpo and had wine and cocktails then a couple of days later had a boozy afternoon in the pub...I was convinced I wasn't PG and was fed up putting life on hold then sod's law I got BFP! even GPs say that as long as you behave once you know then all should be fine.
JB yes I've got that one, it is good ! we have decided not to tell parents until after 12week scan, didn't consider they may be offended - as long as they are told first I guess it is up to us when we want to tell.
nandos I get a bigger belly in the evening, just looks like I've eaten a few pies ! am 8+3.
snowwombat someone else had this issue and it was suggested they tell her over the phone so that she can hide her sadness if she wants to...
ChutneyMary sorry can't help as am first timer but here are some virtual {{{{hugs}}}}
chinchi OMG poor you having your car stolen

nandos · 24/04/2008 21:52

chinchi-that is so awful to know your stolen car is burnt
mibbles- i might just be due same time as u although gp said edd is 28/11. she didnt add additional 3 days cos' my cycle is 31 days, not 28. so it might be 1st dec according to me

majormoo · 24/04/2008 23:02

evening all.
ChutneyMary I am dealing withe 'How will I cope with three thing' by completely refusing to let myself think about it.

Chinchi sorry about your car

Snowwombat re telling your friend, I would go for the face to face thing, but I guess we are all different. After I lost our baby, lots of my friends were pregnant, and I really appreciated the one that told me when I saw her, rather than the other two that avoided me til they were 20 weeks and then texted me/mentioned in on the phone!

Hi EffinePerrine-we were on the Oct06 thread together

Right off to bed.

majormoo · 24/04/2008 23:03

sorry for rubbish typing but very tired-it has taken hours to catch up!

EffiePerine · 25/04/2008 06:49

Life would be a lot easier if DS didn't decide 5am is breakfast time

Nausea still not kicked in properly but am only about 4 weeks (still can't remember date period started but I've had a guess). So DD 31 Jan. Humph. Unless the baby arrives a few days early (as did DS), in which case it'll be our 10th wedding anniversary. Double humph.

Am actually rather glad I'm back at work 4 days a week (esp for later on), you do get some concessions in the office, whereas I doubt DS will give me any slack

DS screaming at his dad to get out of bed, better go before violence ensues...
