I thought I'd better start another thread as the other one was full to bursting!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
hattyyellow · 12/05/2008 13:07

Mibbes thinking of you for Friday! Very of your scan date.

Am feeling completely braindead today - has anyone else got the feeling that their brain has been removed and replaced with cotton wool?

Artichokes Turkey sounds glorious - I guess it's very set up for shade if you need it with big stone walls keeping rooms cool etc...we are thinking of going away in September too, at least it's slightly cooler then. You could have daily siestas?

BeckyBendyLegs · 12/05/2008 13:38

Hattyyellow I have that feeling! Today we set off for preschool three times (had to turn back for two things) and then when we got there I realised I'd forgotten something else. My two DSs thought I had totally lost the plot.

BeckyBendyLegs · 12/05/2008 13:56

I've just had to go up and check on DS2 who was supposedly having his nap and I found him out of bed, with his nappy in the bed, and a neat little poo and a pool of wee in the corner of the room. DS2 himself was covered in poo all up his legs. Perhaps I ought to make a go on the old potty training...

hattyyellow · 12/05/2008 14:37

Oh Becky, you poor thing! My girls used to do at lunchtime nap time - I think we ended up dropping the lunchtime sleep soon after as I got fed up of cleaning poo up around the room - summer naps seem to lead to gleeful nappy shedding! How old is your DS? I'm still failing miserably at potty training my girls and they are 2.9!

Thank you for reassurance that your brain is mushy too! I just took a business call at home about some new work. I didn't realise I'd accidentally pressed the secrecy button half way through until the woman rang off and rang back again to say something was wrong with the phone! !

BeckyBendyLegs · 12/05/2008 15:15

DS2 is 2 and 2 months so it is still quite early really (DS1 wasn't out of nappies completely until he was 3 years).

I work from home and I'm really struggling. One of my problems is concentration. I just can't stay focused for more than ten minutes. It's like I have the brain of a twelve year old again and the teacher is going to tell me off for day dreaming...

We're off to the swings as soon as DS2 wakes up. Swings and icecreams. Lovely.

kayzisexpecting · 12/05/2008 15:27

Turniphead I wish that was true for me. I don't tan while pregnant, the MW said last time that to do with hormones that while you are pregnant you either burn or don't tan at all. I'm hoping that I wil manage to get a tan or I'll have to have a fake one.

nandos · 12/05/2008 17:40

Charliesmum22 · 12/05/2008 19:38

Oh no - Nandos and mummy2olivia I am so very sorry to hear your sad news. I know how awful it is having gone through it last week.

I will be in the miscarriage section too, so maybe I can give you some support there...

chutneymary · 12/05/2008 20:25

Nandos and MummytoOlivia, I am so sorry to hear your sad news. Take care of yourselves.

Am very sickly here. Have been vomiting on the tube (into strategic carrier bag), on the bus, in the road and outside my house when I couldn't get the door open quickly enough. I feel rank. Still, 10 weeks on Wed so perhaps only a few weeks left.

Hope everyone else is doing OK.

artichokes · 12/05/2008 20:46

So sorry nandos and mummy2olivia .

Disenchanted · 12/05/2008 20:48

so sorry NANDOS and MUMMY2OLIVIA

XX

Am still having very bad morning sickness, though am feeling I should be very grateful for it at the moment

BeckyBendyLegs · 12/05/2008 21:10

I'm sorry too Nandos and mummy2olivia. It's a very sad thing that has happened to you both.

mibbes · 12/05/2008 21:37

nandos and mummy2olivia so sorry ladies - look after yourselves {{hugs}} xx

hatty ditto ! I have been such a div lately - on Sat I left my credit card in Dobbies, then thought I'd lost my car keys in a giftshop and searched all over the place until the shop owner pointed at them sticking out of my jeans pocket ! Then in my haste to escape and drive off I walloped my head on the car door !!

Bisou · 13/05/2008 03:57

I'm so sorry nandos and mumy2olivia

I'm about to board a plane to Hong Kong, and then on to London so am stressing a little about it all. They do say flying at this stage is completely safe, but it's such a long flight. Nearly didn't make it too, as the plane I was originally on was cancelled as it was diverted after the earthquakes in China and didn't make it to Australia. Anyway just wanted to wish everyone well and will write a longer message when I'm back in the UK (am only in the country for just over 2 weeks!)

Take care everyone xx

BeckyBendyLegs · 13/05/2008 08:16

Bisou have a good flight. I'm sure you'll be ok, just take it easy. Although by the time you read this you might be in the UK already!

I had a really horrible dream last night, I dreamt I was on 'intimate terms' with Gordon Ramsey. It was HORRIBLE! I don't like pregnancy dreams.

EffiePerine · 13/05/2008 08:30

So sorry for your losses Mummy2Olivia and Nandos. Take care .

Could I take back the worrying about no MS? Felt dreadful on the bus back yesterday and couting stops to see if I needed to get off for some fresh air - luckily just made it home. Bad combination of new shoes (and no tights as too hot) plus sickness as I couldn't just walk back!

Kayz: how are you feeling? I still have a cough and am a bit wheezy: not sure if cold related or pg aggravating my asthma (it vanished last time but seem to remember it can go either way). Haven;t managed a run in almost 2 weeks and have a feeling I'm not going to be able to carry on if I can't breathe! Will have to stick to walking in this lovely sunshine (with shoes that don't bring up massive blisters on my feet).

artichokes · 13/05/2008 09:22

Becky - you think dreaming about intimate relations with Gordon Ramsey is bad? Last night I dreamt that I got Gordon Brown pregnant . Maybe this pregnancy will cost me my sanity.

BeckyBendyLegs · 13/05/2008 10:14

artichokes that is so funny!

The gas man has just arrived to mend our boiler and he said 'where is the boiler?' and for the life of me I couldn't think where it was. I just stood there and went 'errrr'.

pixsix · 13/05/2008 11:19

Mibbes I'm so excited that your scan date is nearly here! I can't believe people on our thread are starting to reach 12 weeks already. I can't wait to hear how it goes!

kayzisexpecting · 13/05/2008 13:17

effieperine I feel quite a bit better now thanks. Just got a blocked nose now. Its worse first thing in the morning and just before I go to bed.

I am at work all day today and its so sunny. Its just not fair.
