nandos that's amazing! I will keep everything crossed too.

pixsix · 11/05/2008 07:27

Oh Nandos, I so hope it works out for you. Millions of best wishes coming your way. x

EffiePerine · 11/05/2008 07:41

Nandos . Really hope it continues to be good news for you. Will be thinking of you on Monday

southernbelle77 · 11/05/2008 07:45

Fingers crossed for you Nandos.

Re the sleeping bunny clocks - I bought one for dd and it made absolutely no difference!! she learnt how to turn the blimin thing on and off! However, I do know other people they worked for so it might be worth a go (an expensive go in our case but never mind ) I'm starting to think that sleeping tablets is the only way forward for dd - only joking obviously! Although some more sleep wouldn't go amiss! I've already had a little nap back on the sofa this morning! Well sort of, inbetween dd jumping on the sofa too!

We are off swimming soon as been saying to dd we will go for ages! Just waiting for dh to get up!

I'm feeling so nauseous at the moment. I'm trying to work out if I perferred the actual being sick like I was with dd or this!

artichokes · 11/05/2008 08:41

Wow Nandos, I have everything crossed for you. Good luck. Let us know as soon as you have some news .

BeckyBendyLegs · 11/05/2008 09:10

Hi everyone!

Nandos that is amazing. Fingers crossed for you

Artichokes my DH abandoned me for a week when I'd just found out I was pregnant and I was a mess worrying that one or both of the DSs would be ill or I'd be ill and unable to cope. I felt more sick that week than I have since and I wonder whether it was partly my worrying about being home alone. I filled our week with visits from friends which helped.

Yesterday we went mega house hunting and we saw a house that we like (I think we viewed six houses in total). I would have made an offer there and then but DH is a sensible type and he wants to have a think about things such as getting to work, buses, etc. Boring! I just like it and want it! It was an exhausting day and I feel like I did a tour of the public toilets of the motorways of the UK.

Last night I went out for a drink and I went totally wild and had a pint of milk while everyone else was getting sloshed on wine! When I asked at the bar for my pint of milk they didn't bat an eyelid at my eccentric request and even asked if I wanted ice but a gang of 18 year olds had a giggle about it. They must have thought I was totally nuts(it's not as if I look properly pregnant yet).

monkeydops · 11/05/2008 09:40

nandos - that is amazing, take big care and will be thinking of you all this week x

Bisou · 11/05/2008 11:35

nandos -that's wonderful!!! I will cross everything for you and your wee beany

Hey does this mean you may be due in Jan? You're not allowed to leave us if you are

GordontheGopher · 11/05/2008 11:58

Hi guys, finally plucked up the courage to join you! I'm 7 weeks pg due on 26th December (according to ovulation date). We were in the throws of being referred to a fertility clinic having spent 14 months ttc after coming off depo when I got pregnant! I have one ds who's just turned 2.

Looking forward to chatting with you ladies!

BeckyBendyLegs · 11/05/2008 13:19

Hello GordontheGopher. Welcome and congrats!!! How are you feeling?

hattyyellow · 11/05/2008 13:37

Nandos hope everything goes okay and the wee bean hangs on in there - what a rollercoaster of emotions you must be feeling!

Becky good luck with the house hunting - loads more seem to come on the market in the summer don't they (and I always get seduced by something stupid like cherry tree blossom in the garden and ignore the big damp patch on the kitchen wall that my DH is worrying about!)

Artichokes you have my sympathy doing 2 weeks alone! Dh has been away since last night and gets back tomorrow morning and I'm looking forward to him getting home to help again!

I am so much more queasy - have actually started being sick which is new for me, rather than just feeling grim. My sense of smell has gone mad, even the smell of our dishwasher tablets makes me gag and I'm struggling to find anythiing I feel like eating.

The most annoying thing is that everything I eat and enjoy, I now can't stand the thought of! We had spag bol last night and I have the leftovers for the girls tea tonight and I'm heaving at the thought of having to heat it up and sit there while they eat it without throwing up!

My patience has still gone - I felt so relieved when someone said they were tetchy with their toddlers as well. I think I'm trying to get them to do more themselves in advance, not being carried so much, doing a bit more dressing and tidying up and they're rebelling like mad!

southernbelle77 · 11/05/2008 17:28

Hi GordontheGopher, nice to see you here. I remember your post on the PG CM thread

I've been quite busy today. We went swimming which was really nice (apart from when dd kicked me in the stomach, but at least it was in water so not quite as hard!). We came back and I cooked lunch for us - not sure why I choose to cook toad in the hole when it's so hot, but it was nice all the same (well apart from the batter which I made a little stodgy )

I then had a 2 hour nap! How nice! And then was coerced into having a water fight with dd outside!

Been tidying since then so knackered now!

BeckyBendyLegs · 11/05/2008 18:12

I've had a busy day catching up with work . The parents-in-law have gone now so we can be messy again. They are looking a little knackered to say the least after babysitting the DSs yesterday while we went house hunting.

DH is making rhubarb crumble made from rhubarb out of the garden for the DSs. It smells lovely...

It's that time in the evening when tiredness and sickyness sets in for me so I'm trying to eat a banana to keep the sicky feeling away. I've had a 'good' couple of days so am expecting a down turn any day now. I am ten weeks today! Hooray! I feels like I've been pregnant for about ten months though so far and as of yet I have no concrete evidence that it is real (scan is two weeks today).

IceCube · 11/05/2008 20:05

Such nice weather this weekend, hope it doesn't get too much hotter this year though, don't want to be too big and hot.

Right there with everyone napping in the afternoon, seems to be the only way to do anything with the rest of the day.

I'm finding it hard to eat enough (not normally my problem), normal size meals are hard work...

Charliesmum22 · 11/05/2008 20:49

Hope you don't mind me popping back to see how you're all getting on

Am doing okay after our tough week, and DH and I have decided to try again at the end of the summer which is something to look forward to.

Nandos really wanted to wish you good luck for your scan tomorrow, I am so hoping for some good news for you...

It's so lovely to hear all about how you're all feeling, brings back memories of my 1st pregnancy! Wishing you all lots of happy and healthy beans xxx

nandos · 11/05/2008 21:03

thank you everyone for your kind words n support..

it was a rollercoaster nightmare cos' i really expected no growth within a week after finding out at 10wk it was only 5wks..then it grew at a rapid speed within the time range.
i keep asking myself: was it the same embryo or a different one this time? its so confusing..
im just worried abt tmr's scan as i dont want to keep my hopes to high..it will be in the afternn so will try to update when i get home.
take care everyone and have a good rest

hattyyellow · 11/05/2008 21:17

Everything crossed for you nandos, keep us posted.

kayzisexpecting · 12/05/2008 07:25

Morning,

Nandos I hope everything goes well for you this afternoon.

Charliesmum I'm glad you are ok. I'm happy you are going to try again. I'll keep my eyes peeled for your announcement.

Still got this horrible cold. Hopefully it'll go soon. I spent nearly all day in the sun yesterday and I don't have a tan. I am so annoyed!

Hope everyone has a good day.

artichokes · 12/05/2008 08:49

Morning all

Nandos - wishing you soooooo much luck for tomorrow.

Charliesmum - nice to see you. Good luck for the end of the summer.

Well its day 3 of DH's absence. I have survived so far and its been OK. Took DD to see some of my old chool friends on Saturday. Then on Sunday my oldest and closest friend came round for a picnic in the park which was lovely. I don't work Mondays so today DD and I have our regular Monday schedule of music class follwed by Mother and Toddlers which I run. I don't really want to go today though as it is so lovely outside - oh well, I guess I have to, that is down side of being the organiser.

DH and I are trying to decide whether to go to Turkey in September. I will be 6 months gone and it will be hot so I might just want to stay at home. But we have lots of friends out there and are unlikely to go for a while after the baby arrives. Would you guys travel that late in pregnancy?

EffiePerine · 12/05/2008 08:58

Morning

DS up since 2am - bah. Snoozing on andf off since then but refusing to settle properly. No idea why. Grrrr.

Still not much MS or other symptoms (other than tiredness and pain when DS latches on). Am planning to bury head in sand and ignore until I have a good reason to worry

GordontheGopher · 12/05/2008 10:26

Hi ladies. May have to leave you soon! Had an early scan this morning as I'd been registered with the fertility clinic and they wanted to make sure everything was ok before they discharged me.

Sonographer could only find sac and yolk only measuring 6 wks 6 days. I know exactly when I ovulated which puts me at 7 wks 3 days.

I know it's not over yet - I've got another scan not Monday, but I'm not hopeful. I think I'll post on the pregnancy board to see if anyone can offer me a glimmer of hope.

hattyyellow · 12/05/2008 10:39

Gordon just saw your post on the pregnancy board - I'm afraid I don't know any answers but really hope you get some. Sending you hugs.

Hello Everyone

Gordonthegopher I hope it turns out ok for you. Hugs from the BendyLegs xxx

Nandos your story is amazing. I'm sending you good luck vibes today.

Charliesmum hello and thanks for your sweet message! Please talk to us whenever you feel like a chat and let us know how things are going.

The sunshine here today is GLORIOUS. DS2 and I have just been to our local toddlers group which was chaotic (but fun) as usual and I was on rota. I'm usually really tired on a Monday afternoon!

Artichokes I know exactly how you feel. I hate it when DH goes away. Today he had to go to Telford to do a one-day course and even though he's back at tea time I still worry that if I needed him he wouldn't be able to come home easily.

I hope you are all making the most of the lovely weather. Enjoy!

mibbes · 12/05/2008 13:03

Gordon really hope all is ok and that someone can offer you hope on the PG thread. xx
nandos any news ? thinking of you.
Charliesmum lovely to hear that you are feeling positive about trying again [hugs]
Am really getting nervous about Friday's scan - am convinced they'll tell me I have made a mistake and there is nothing in there !
