Just got back from my appointment - they almost missed me out because (apparently) they couldn't read the writing in the diary but ALL IS FINE! Measuring right on track and a lovely strong, fast heartbeat.

I just can't believe I've made it past eight weeks. They're still cautious, saying that of course the scan only shows what's happening today and can't predict the future, but given that both the sonographer and the midwife were debating dropping my next scan and letting me wait til the nuchal, I think I have reason to be positive.

(I asked if I could still have the intermediate scan in two weeks' time and they said yes)

Thank you all so much for your kind messages, by the way. It meant a lot to know I wasn't alone, in a strange way (obviously my DH was there, but it's nice to have other pg women rooting for me too!)

Phew. Now for a nice leisurely day... (I booked the day off work )

Great news Verso, I was wondering if I had missed your post when Katie posted that.

I feel much better today, no sickness so far, sure it'll be along in a bit but I think it's easier when the sun is shining and you can get some fresh air .

Just home from dentists. I need a tooth out but they cant do it until I have this baby. I don't know what is wrong with it so I don't know why it needs to come out.

Chinchi Thats great news. I have no symptoms and we're still weighing up the pros and cons of a scan. But I didn't have any symptoms with DS until I went into labour. I'd never would have known I was expecting if I didn't get a huge bump.

first of all thank you for all your advices and encouragement(when i needed) and it was nice chatting with all of u ..
sadly after the scan today the sonographer said the embryo might have stopped growing at 5wks or my lmp might be wrong(which is highly unlikely). if i dont have any changes in scan or bleeding next week, might have to go for a d&c.
for now, i will be off this thread n list ...n last but not least good luck to all of you and hopefully have healthy babies in dec

MS has kicked in good and proper this morning. I'm fast remembering this feeling from last time round! If I don't eat then I feel really nauseous, and if I do eat then I'm sick. It's a fun game!!

I've just realised I'm spending more time on MN than I am on Facebook nowadays! Times are a changing!

I've got to do bath and bedtime myself this evening as DH, in his own words: 'got caught up in the office so missed the earlier train'. But I've just had a strawberry, banana and rhubarb smoothie courtesy of Sainsbury's cafe so don't feel too bad this evening. Evenings are definitely the worst time for me usually.
