wow so much news!! Millie is nocturnal, last night was the best, i slept from 9-11, 1-2, 3.30-6.45 . the other nights i have literally been up all the time!

My boobs engorged yesterday and it really hurt but i am much more comfy today the bf is going so well. i cant believe i didnt want to do it. DH is being so great!

Soph - i hope you are feeling positive as peachy says we are all here for you if/when you need us.

Ellie - oh girl, i hope you are ok, i had a drip to speed up labour with my first too. thinking of you.

Mimi is being weighed today, am prepared for a weight loss. i also have to remember that she will not put on weight like the others, will she?

PeachyHas4BoysAndLovesIt · 23/04/2008 07:36

Ellie had a baby girl, Molly, at 4pm yesterday- she sounds abcolutely over the moon in her text! 8.5lbs

Well done Ellie

PeachyHas4BoysAndLovesIt · 23/04/2008 07:38

TMI question (sorry)

this morning I passed a piece of membrance about 1.5 X 8cm, thick membrane- the notes from the delivery say that the membranes were ragged and I presume that this is what it is.

As ds4 is now 16 days is this normal? never had it before! Had a few clots over the past few days, but only smallish (50p sized) ones

moominsmummy · 23/04/2008 07:43

woo hoo ellie!! well done and welcome to Molly.

hope you are doing ok

PortAndLemon · 23/04/2008 08:16

Congratulations Ellie!

Don't think it's very normal. I had ragged membrans noted with DS but nothing like tht.

DonDons · 23/04/2008 09:11

Hooray Ellie!

Carey!

Carey87 · 23/04/2008 09:16

Hi dondons, anything more from you? or have you knackered yourself out with all of that cleaning and painting you said you were going to do ?

peachbaby · 23/04/2008 09:18

anyone else 41+4 and said no ta to a sweep or induction (health permitting of course)...wondering if i should change my mind

moominsmummy · 23/04/2008 09:19

PAL - hmm - that doesn't sound right - i would speak to midwife

Peachy- at your DS working out how to override alarm on his room - your DP only put it on a week or two ago didn't he?? whatever other difficulties your DS has - clearly problem solving isn't one of them!

DonDons · 23/04/2008 09:20

No sign of anything here this morning - thought my waters were breaking in bed but I think it was just a little wee ha ha ha ha - pass over the Tena Ladies!

I'll be 41+2 tomorrow and will be demanding another sweep

PortAndLemon · 23/04/2008 09:21

(? assume you mean Peachy not PAL, as all I said was that I wasn't losing large chunks of membrane...)

Denny185 · 23/04/2008 09:31

Congratulations Ellie and Lorisparkle.

Peachy - not sure about the whole membranes thing but that dosent sound quite right, do you think you should call the post natal ward and check. and not great about learning to override the alarm system, Dh will have to work out a way of locking it instead of playing with lego.

Peachbaby - I have heard of women going over the 42 week mark and declining any intervention. Its ultimately your desicion but think they offer at that stage because the placenta function begins to decline.

moominsmummy · 23/04/2008 09:54

sorry PAL - i blame pg brain again!

KnitterInTheNW · 23/04/2008 10:00

Congratulations Ellie, fantastic news! And beautiful name too! I was just ing when I read it.

Denny185 · 23/04/2008 10:02

Just been mooching through MN and realised I have just eated a whole packet of biscuits

sagitta · 23/04/2008 10:18

Congratulations on Molly, Ellie - I hope everything is OK and that you're home. Let us know how it all went when you can.

So pleased the BFing is going well, Scorpio.
Can I just ask - did everyone get a TENS machine? I didn't use it last time, so I am not sure - but did everyone have one and use one this time?

Carey87 · 23/04/2008 10:26

Sagitta, when we had our false start last week it really really helped, I know I'm a first timer but I couldnt have done last week without it, actually looking forward going into labour as I know Ive got the TENS machine to help me through IYKWIM x

PeachyHas4BoysAndLovesIt · 23/04/2008 10:34

i forgot my tens but with the others it was great- all just a bit too fast this time really

TLSM · 23/04/2008 10:43

Congrates Ellie Molly is a lovely name

Peachy as this is your fourth and you sound worried go with how you feel and call the doctors / Midwives best to get it checked out than worry about it. Even though the boys overran the alarm was there a glimmer of pride there to? I am sure DH can change it so they find it harder next time x

Scorpio sounds like your milk coming in yesterday which could be why Millie slept better last night - You have dont the hard bit well done!

Sagitta is there something you wish to tell us all this talk of tens machines

and happy due date to Carey and dondons (plus one)

Right I am going into get this baby out over drive today I am fed up of being awake all night with belly ache and not having my DS here so I have ate a pineapple first thing, I am taking my EPO and RL tablets I am going for a walk over the hill even though its pissing down with rain then I am going to do the ironing and have a curry for tea! then I may do a bit of begging and pleading - well nothing else seems to work

northeastmummy · 23/04/2008 10:44

Yay Ellie - huge congratulations! And does that mean you won DH over on the name? I have a vague memory that he had said no to Molly??

Carey - welcome to the 40+ club. The lists are really even-ing out now aren't they?

Sagitta - I have a tens machine in my bag. It was my main pain relief with DD so I'm clinging on to the hope that it'll do the job this time too.

I'm suddenly feeling VERY pregnant all of a sudden. I'm also finding that straight after having a cup of RL tea I get really strong BH's.

Does anyone else get sharp pains now and again? They're not like contractions which gradually build, they're sudden and feel like the baby is scraping me on the inside.

PortAndLemon · 23/04/2008 10:44

I used TENS this time (an ElleTENS). I got to 9cm just on TENS and swearing, before having gas and air at the end.
