Scorpio 2 fingers to the HV re bottles then, glad its all still going well for you. I didnt know about the night sucking and stimulating milk DS had v similar pattern to Millie and fed him ok for 6 months. Feel vaguely better about being woken 3 times with this LO now though but am still v of you.

MW yesterday asked if Id go along to their next BF workshop coz of the whole feeding with flat nipples thing and giving a realistic view on what feeding like. Did say I dont mind talking but if wanted a demonstration Id be too with my whole squish and shove technique.

PeachyHas4BoysAndLovesIt · 30/04/2008 12:35

mum2b what i dud was take 1 epo morning , and shove 2 up there before bedtime.

lloyds chemist does them for about £1 btw.

Denny185 · 30/04/2008 12:37

I did say it could be a new form of perineal massage, but maybe if you went top first you could self sweep with it

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 30/04/2008 12:46

Thanks Peachy. Um when you say shove 2 up there, what's to stop them from falling out? Sorry if that comes across as seriously stupid!

PeachyHas4BoysAndLovesIt · 30/04/2008 12:47

I did same as peachy, 'cept i took them morn and night, inserted at night, and my cervix was wonderful at 39 weeks, i just didnt start to dilate, i really believe it was the epo that did my cervix.

back from our expedition to soft play centre - total nightmare as DS announces " I've pooed in my pants" he hasn't done this for months - when we went to clean him up discover he has dodgy tummy and poo is everywhere - I binned the pants and the socks - fortunately I had change of trousers with us and a pull-up. Just as well as 5 mins later the pull up was full up!! then into last pair of pants whilst telling him we need to go home. he runs off into (fortunately very quiet) soft play - I go after him and come across pile of poo which evidently slid out bottom of trousers when he first soiled himself. I then spend 15 mins crawling round soft play (not easy with large bump) with wipes in hand scrubbing at every suspicious mark.

fortunately we are now home and DH has been ordered not to touch DS if possible and I have allocated them a toilet each. manic handwashing - disinfecting goes on

really hope the baby doesn't decide to come today!!!!

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 30/04/2008 14:15

Ewwww Moomins - also hope baby decides to stay put for now for your sake!

Also - sorry to ask for this AGAIN - but could someone please post the link for the contractions website! Ta!

moominsmummy · 30/04/2008 14:18

m2b - can't remember the link but you can find it if you google 'contraction master'

eva07 · 30/04/2008 14:19

contractions timer

moominsmummy · 30/04/2008 14:19

ooo - does that mean you are getting some contractions?????

eva07 · 30/04/2008 14:20

((moomins))

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 30/04/2008 14:31

Thanks! No - no contractions sadly - but I want to be prepared for when they finally come!

Carey87 · 30/04/2008 14:39

oh mum2b - i was getting all excited for you then!

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 30/04/2008 14:43

lol - sorry! Carey - you know what's going to happen don't you - we are going to give birth at the same time in the same hospital - so - I bags the water pool!!

moominsmummy · 30/04/2008 14:51

LOL at prospect of two heavily-pg-and-in-labour women having cat fight over birthing pool!

moominsmummy · 30/04/2008 16:37

where has everyone gone????

please don't tell me that all the stragglers (except me) have gone into labour all at once. that would be very inconsiderate really.......

soph28 · 30/04/2008 16:40

Hi everyone,

Lovely to hear all the baby chat! Just to let you know, I'm going in to be induced tomorrow at 9.30am. Can't wait. Will be 12 days over, same as when I was induced with dd and she was born within 10 hours of 1st gel so hopefully lo will be here by tomorrow night!

I'm disappointed that nothing has happened on it's own but far too fed up and impatient to refuse the induction!!

DH is outside with Toby and Chloe now so am getting a bit of a break, trying to make the most of it. I also can't wait to use the Wii Fit as for the past 5 evenings I have had to sit and watch dh contort himself on front of the tv. It's not exactly the most compelling viewing.

moominsmummy · 30/04/2008 16:43

Soph - good luck for tomorrow - at least you'll know you'll get to meet LO very soon!

VictorianSqualor · 30/04/2008 16:43

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I have had the afternoon from hell.
Went to town to buy a coat, as we get ready realise DS's wellies are in the car, with DP at work, so he wears his trainers and steps straight into a really deep puddle every shop i went in the alarms went off can't find a coat so go to get the bus to the school, it drives off just as we reach the bus stop (they're every hour, so now need a taxi).
DS decides he needs a wee, but the only toilets in our town are ten pence, lo and behold I have every coin except a ten pence so have to ask someone in the shop to change it, which they can only do if i buy something
Go into the toilet, alex is screaming so i decide to feed him in there, cant do it outside as coat i'm wearing is a pullover type thingy, feed him, then have a wee and ...... my fucking thong snapped! So I tied it up and popped into tescos, where the till broke as i was about to pay, so had to use a different one and do it all again, went to get a taxi, get out of the taxi, feeling like i've wet myself, nope, I've started bleeding again, in the middle of the school plyground Thankfully i was wearing a shirt dress with black leggings so nothing showed., bus home..... is some shitty thing so I have to collapse alexs buggy (thank god it's a carseat and a chassis so i dont have to hold alex)....
I'm having a beer

I'm pretty shocked bout the bleeding too, I only bled for about a week, with all three, stopped over a week ago and am now bleeding really heavily

VictorianSqualor · 30/04/2008 16:44

Good luck soph

soph28 · 30/04/2008 16:44

lol Moominsmummy- re softplay/poo episode! Poor you. I can't face the thought of crawling around softplay atm nevermind cleaning up poo at the same time. Though I did once take mine to softplay to discover that another child had pooed at the top of the slide and it was now all down the slide and round the place- they had left without telling anyone- it was vile!

soph28 · 30/04/2008 16:49

VS- that is a hellish afternoon. Not what you need at all. Though I have to admit I am very impressed and that you are coat shopping and THONG wearing a couple of weeks after giving birth- wow!
I bled for a few weeks both times- it's rubbish.

VictorianSqualor · 30/04/2008 16:51

I didn't have much choise soph, all my knickers except the ones I bought for hospital are thongs and I need a waterproof coat that I can undo to feed, poor alex can't get in my waterproof ones as its a snowboard hoodie type thing lol.
