VS dont say that I just paid £14 for a ebook (god I am getting desparate)

To cap it all I have just had a call on the answer phone from the antenatal clinic at the hospital congratulating me on having my baby she then said just to let you know you have GBS in your urine so you need anti biotic's !!!! Don't mind me while I sit and have a little cry! I really dont know how much more of this I can cope with I havent slept for two nights because of the belly and back ache, I feel shit, I miss my DS and its driving me mad being on my own all day and this just brings it all together nicely

PeachyHas4BoysAndLovesIt · 23/04/2008 12:05

DH reckons they look like cornish apsties as they crown

Just had HV visit, apparently if I don't double my calorific intake my BM will dry up or be of low quality and DS4 will suffer

Are they still allowed to peddle that crap? FGS!

northeastmummy · 23/04/2008 12:06

Eh TLSM? So have they got the completely wrong person? Or is half of that message for you and half not?

You are entitled to cry. Will paracetamol help you sleep? I wish I was nearby, I could meet you for a coffee

scorpio1 · 23/04/2008 12:07

i am pissed off they told ellie about flat nipples - mine are quite flat and need pulling out before a feed, though they are not inverted. Millie feeds just fine, thankyou!

Can i have a beer later?

VictorianSqualor · 23/04/2008 12:08

TLSM, hunt down some mini-eggs pfj swears by 'em.
Peachy did you tell her you're probably more trained than she is?

VictorianSqualor · 23/04/2008 12:09

yes scorpio, you can have a couple.
Just cant co-sleep afterwards.

scorpio1 · 23/04/2008 12:10

ooh yay i havent had any yet and still have a bottle of champers! quite fancied a beer last night but didnt know.

TLSM · 23/04/2008 12:10

The whole message was for me just because I had notes I was in hospital she assumed I had had the baby I knew I had GBS but its now in my urine which I think is a little worse!

VictorianSqualor · 23/04/2008 12:14

alcohol doesn't really go through to breastmilk as youd imagine.
It transfers similarly to blood and leaves the milk at the same rate, so about a unit an hour. Tests have shown on a full-term, healthy baby you'd need to drink absolutely loads to affect baby, more than most humans can feasibly drink befre collapsing.
If you want your milk to be completely alcohol free, leave an hour per unit from the time you start drinking, but this isnt necessary.
Also pumping and dumping is pointless because milk doesnt just sit in your breast it is a constant renewal, so it cleans itself, again same as blood.

scorpio1 · 23/04/2008 12:18

thanks VS.

btw, when i went to gp on monday for Mimi's 24 hour check, he offered dh a vasectomy - at 25!! i am 23 fgs.

VictorianSqualor · 23/04/2008 12:23

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
Did you say you want at least another 3 more just to see his face? I would've

TheMaskedPoster · 23/04/2008 12:24

Hi Ladies,

Just to say I had 2 wines yesterday - over a couple of hours (as the sun was out etc) and blimey I felt the effects (as I can't recall the last time I had more than one wine - probably when Olivia was conceived!! ). It was lovely to get out and about and have a drink - felt wonderful... and coincidence or not mother and baby slept very, very well last night!! LOL

Re - the TENS machines, I hired mine from Naturesgate. It was a godsend for me and got me through labour to have the natural birth I wanted this time (can't recommend them enought IMO).

Hope all are well and one last question... where has the sun gone??!

scorpio1 · 23/04/2008 12:24

i said that i will be in here in 30 years asking for fertility treatment, lol.

we are going to discuss it but not decide until millie is one. i think it is ridiculous when we have just had a baby; of course wewill not want another NOW, but you never know is my point.

He said to me' your numbers are getting up now arent they'

PeachyHas4BoysAndLovesIt · 23/04/2008 12:31

VS- I didnts ay that, should have shouldn't I? pmsl

had to bite my tngue a bit though
a crap story as well about a 'woman she knows' who lost her milk after a shock but got it back when she focussed one ating more (almost asked her if thats what happened to her= woman wider than she is tall )

Dh is going to have a vasectomy, probably wise as I am already broody agin and would honestly just never stop, but can't fit any more in the house.

VictorianSqualor · 23/04/2008 12:34

Peachy I'm the same, DP asked when we can have sex again and I said when we had contraception sorted...or well...

PeachyHas4BoysAndLovesIt · 23/04/2008 12:37

dh keeps reminding me of 3 facts:

  1. that for a fifth there'd be no way the MW could get there in time judging by this one

  2. They discourage homebirths for fith babies, so baby would have to be born in car about 200 meteres down the road as thats as far as we'd get

  3. each baby has gone up by a pound- therfore I'd have to birth a 9.3lb baby in car at the top of the road LOL

he has a point

Carey87 · 23/04/2008 12:44

OMG I only went away for 2 hours and theres already another 2 pages!

KnitterInTheNW · 23/04/2008 12:51

Sagitta, I'll try to hold off sending George to school before your baby is born!

I've just ordered a set of coins from the royal mint for George's box, apparently all the coins are changing later this year. Didn't know that! Talking about money, the postman has just delivered another pressie for him from one of my old nanny families. He's now the proud owner of his third money box! Hope he takes after DH where money is concerned though, if he takes after me he'll never have any left to put in any of his money boxes!

KnitterInTheNW · 23/04/2008 13:34

I've scared everyone off again, we're off for a walk

Carey87 · 23/04/2008 13:37

mum2b2babyroo hasnt been on for a while

scorpio1 · 23/04/2008 13:38

i was just thinking that 4 children would be nice.... DH keeps going on about sex...err yeah right.

TLSM · 23/04/2008 13:40

I have had a right cry to my mum and feel a lot better she is bringing DS back tomorrow and I have booked an app with the doc to get stronger pain killers for my back

Carey mum2b2babyroo isnt due until the 29th it would be very rude of her to have her baby before us!

scorpio1 · 23/04/2008 13:41

i hope they do the trick for you
