Well it is good to know I'm in excellent company as THIS will be the LAST procreation attempt for me. Two children are quite enough to do the care-taking when DH and I are old and need assistance. LOL

Not quite sure yet how I plan to end it. I guess I should begin research now. Sounds like most of you are having DH/DPs snipped. Most of my RL friends have had their DHs snipped (a topic which makes me blush but doesn't seem to phase them). Is getting your tubes tied painful?? Is it just easier to the male to be snipped? Please enlighten me.

Sazzles, no clue about dinner yet. DH is stopping at the store for me. I'm EXTREMELY hungry but as usual don't have clue what would taste good. I'm hoping DH can select something for me.

Oh and on the kick counts front. Being curious I began to count just before I dozed off for my mid-day nap....achieved full count in less than 3 minutes. Here's hoping it's that easy when I start doing the counts officially.

Buckets, the course sounds interesting and also very sensible. I would think that a bit of time each week spread over two months, gives a much better picture than, for example, a whole long single day.

Sazzles, we have nearly finished the marmite. You are allowed to talk about marmite until the jar has finished, but then not again until my mum comes to visit with another jar!

TS, any more holiday thoughts?

I'm about to cook a lentil, coconut and raisin curry, and feel very blessed by a DH who will eat anything.

TwilightSurfer · 30/04/2008 00:55

Longway I've been so preoccupied with cleaning this evening I've totally forgotten the vacation thing. Thanks for reminding me. Now I can go check ideas online...since I'm here and all.

good morning ladies.

Thanks for all your lovely messages after my moan...

Exhausted today DD coughing all night but seems in great form this am, wish i could say the same about me!!! I feel absolutely huge, could only manage to put on huge trackie bottoms and DH sloppy jumper today, god helps anyone who sees me!!!

This is definitely my last baby, i hated being pregnant last time and vowed never to do it again.. hmmmm what happened!!!

Started feeling sick again last night.. is anyone else starting to feel queasy again.. hmm thats not good... where is the blooming stage???? haven't had any of that!!

I am very envious of all those going on holidays, i thought i would be clever and go away early, now i wish i had just waited!!!

Anyway hope everyone has a good day xxx

dizzydixies · 30/04/2008 08:15

morning everyone

sarahnh same here, dd2 started coughing at 4am and had to come through with me, she then proceeded to chat/babble/kick/headbutt and snotter on me so was duely drugged again and is now merrily sleeping away whilst I had to get up at 6.45 to deal with dd1 - sigh, will no doubt be no different tonight even though dh will be home. he'll be too 'tired' from playing at numpties with the rest of them and has another local course tomorrow

have also noticed feeling a bit sicky past few days but was hoping it was just because it was so tired from nightly antics (of the sick child kind not the buckets kind unfortunately) have forced mself to eat some breakfast this morning, I normally sort myself after taking girls to nursery so fingers crossed it stays put

sazzles you miserable mare, if you've sent me your shitey weather I'll NOT be a happy bunny!!! Wed is one of my running about like a loon days so will no doubt get soaked not raining yet but not looking hopeful

TS dh has been well warned, he was told if he didn't want more than 2 kids to get himself off for the snip so I think once we make sure everything all ok with this baby he'll be packed off to the drs! Lets see how he gets on farking 'breathing' through it, will happily sit there telling him 'you're doing really well darling, remember your breathing'

dizzydixies · 30/04/2008 08:18

hazie have decided (probably obvious already) that Cole needs a longer mn to balance it out but Gabriella needs a shorter one

I promise will back to you with some suggestions as soon as I get past the sleep deprivation

lol dizzy wonder if they get offered gas and air during the procedure (snurk).

sarahnh Poor you. I've been feeling sick constantly since about 5 weeks. It isn't as bad now as it was in dec, jan and feb but i'm most deffo not feeling normal. Hope you start to feel better soon and it's just a temporary blip...

Having a negative day. Suddenly (well, not really cos I've been stressed all through cos of the 2 m/cs) felt today that I can't see this pregnancy seeing itself through. Just terrified something is going to happen

One of my worries is probably v silly, cos it prob shows that baby is all well and good, but could you tell me if you've had anything similar?? Well, you know the kicks and prods etc? What about when it feels like something is pressing on the inside, more than a sudden jab, more like something is leaning/digging in?? Feels a bit like a bruise -and when I rub it when it is tender, it def produces discomfort. Is it baby leaning it's head or something on me? Or could it be like dh suggested and baby is kind of mid turn, so at an awkward angle digging something in? or what????
Just v uncomfy when it happens. Don't think it's a braxton hicks - it feels more specific than I imagine them to (am sure i never noticed either bh's or this with dd).

Paranoid? Moi??

alittlebitshy · 30/04/2008 09:56

liking your bump pic Sazzles (if that doesn't make me sound like some kind of wierdo lol ).

We vowed no more children - but that was cos dd was unplanned (though much adored once she was here OBVIOUSLY) and I made us all have a terrible time afterwards (probably PND) but eventually we said we'd have one when she was about 5, which we then changed our minds about, and started trying when she was 3.5 - but ta da, she'll be just over 5 when baby comes along. Funny how it all works out

Buckets · 30/04/2008 10:00

How funny Sazzles, guess it just likes hiding in your pelvis then? Do you have many stretchmarks this time?

Re sickness: I threw up the other day too. Basically I hadn't had my 2nd breakfast and thought a can of DrPepper would do the job. Apparently not.

Re male/female snips: Male vasectomy is 10,000 more reliable than the female op (about the same as the pill). The op used to be done in the GPs office but numbers dwindled (men wanted more of a fuss) whereas women need proper surgery. It's not a good idea to have the female op combined with a CSec as your tubes will be all puffed up and preggo and will then shrink back, possibly loosening knots/ligatures/clips etc. I did all this research after DS was born, never again etc LOL, spent much time badgering DH to get the snip. Then I got broody suddenly and spent a year begging for a baby!

Oops, think I may have added some extra 0s to my stat below! It's 1:100 vs 1:10,000 in favour of vasectomy. Someone else do the maths.

ALBS I too get those extra tender lumps in my bump, not with my BHs either, all feels v familiar from my other pgs so I'm not worried. Just an elbow leaning on a nerve maybe. They've still got so much room in there they're literally bouncing off the walls.

dizzydixies · 30/04/2008 10:21

sazzles am soooooooooooooo not posting any photos of me and lard bump - I am hanging out all over the place

and thanks for the rain by the way it started in ernest at 9.10 and at 9.11 I had to leave the house to take girls to nursery did you do that on purpose?!?!!??!

am very impressed with your lists - you now just need to follow them through

Buckets · 30/04/2008 10:29

We have a blocked gutter it seems and noisy waterfalls down two windows, DS thinks it's great. I am scowling because when I looked out yesterday I could see plants growing in the gutter - have asked next door twice to chop down this 2-storey high neglected shrub (well, tree basically) between our 2 houses. It's because the house is pretty much empty so they don't care how much light it blocks out or what damage the roots are doing. And worst of all it stinks of piss at this time of year with the flowers out!
Rant over.

alittlebitshy · 30/04/2008 10:31

I have to admit I haven't got dh to take any pics of my bump this time. We did last time, then (this was before we had a digital camera) we never recorded the details on the back of the pics so we lost track of which pic was taken at what stage. NOt very organised, us .

Meant to be dusting, hoovering u[stairs and putting clean sheets on our bed (dh took the old oens off and they;re washing - so that's a start surely), but decided to eat my way through feeling low about this pg (jaff cakes are a default comfort food) and am still sat here. DID empty dishwasher though, so that's good .

Dh isn't keen on the idea of the snip. He always says that he'd feel like there was no return. We only want 2 children, for sure, but he worries about if something happened to one of them. I say that you wouldn't want to replace a child necessarily. But....we'll see. I think we'll end up with my going back on depo (or the implant perhaps) for a while at least while we review options. The pill would be no good cos I am RUBBISH at remembering to take pills, and am uber fertile (dd was a honeymoon accident, the 2 m/cs were conceived quickly (the first one 4 months after coming off depo - 3 of those months with timings not worked out v well....; the second the first month of trying) and this baby was quite quick too, soooooo we'd be buggered if i messed up on pill cosnumption!!!!
