OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
dizzydixies · 29/04/2008 09:31

sazzles I eventually gave up at about 5am and drugged her with medised

lol re husbands, if you husband is away having petrol bombs and bricks thrown at him too them maybe we are

I kind of agree, she had turned down two previous best offers so I put in one at £200, it was also £30 postage. she came back with £225 and I declined but let her know it was because that was pushing me above £250 in total

there is an identical one on (with car seats too) for £250 so I just felt she was asking a bit much

she's now relisted it as bidding starting at £225 and above so she's obviously decided thats what she wants and won't go below - good luck to her!

Morning ladies

Not too much to report. I have had a bit of leakage too and lots on CM. So glad you ladies have it too In the nicest way possible of course. Also ankles and hands have started to swell so keeping a close eye on those, but fingers crossed blood pressure stays down.

Looking forward to holiday on Saturday, only 4 more sleeps

Have glucose test and Anti D injections to look forward to when I return.

On a positive note the tears seem to have dried up for a while which is fantastic.

26+2 today, time really is flying. Getting nervous that in about 14 weeks I'll have a baby

Hope everybody else is ok and enjoying this stage of pregnancy when we're all supposed to be blooming

dizzydixies · 29/04/2008 09:59

I DID offer to hang out the velux whilst he ran round the garden and I would launch said things at him but alas no

some people are no farking fun at all!

he is a policeman who specialises in public order training - i.e riot police nonsense

he turned up to collect dd2 from dd1's ballet class last night in full boiler suit/fire repellant gear and boots that have steel things right up the front - I could see all the other mothers giving it at him

dizzydixies · 29/04/2008 10:00

morning shazza am soooooooooooooooo re the holiday, we have such a busy month coming up I could really do with one I was in bed at same time as girls last night, just after 7pm, although read my book for ages, after the night I had I now wish I'd gone straight to sleep

how are you getting on with the wedding outfit hunt?

cyteen · 29/04/2008 10:14

Morning all! Can I just say to all the holidayers, and also a little bit to the third trimester sisters too. I'm 23 weeks now - the slacker of the bunch Still feel absolutely massive though, I've really started to feel it the last few days. My bump weighs a lot and sleeping has started to become a bit less easy - I woke up to go for a wee at 4.30 this morning (second wee of the night ) and couldn't get back to sleep for about an hour afterwards. Think it's time to invest in one of those long pillows; I've been doing okay just propping myself up a bit, as I usually sleep on my left hand side anyway, but lately have noticed that my bump feels unsupported. Yay, shopping!

TS I find my eating ebbs and flows - some days I'm an eating machine, others I'm not too bothered. I think it partly depends on whether the prunes have taken effect or not. My fat stores don't seem to have noticed though -you could park a car in the shadow of my arse

Am slowly ticking off things on my to-do list - booked some NCT classes, have organised a fundraising event that I've been meaning to sort out for ages...I realised yesterday that I've been quite depressed for the last few weeks and avoiding facing up to a lot of scary things, which has led onto generally feeling crap about everything, but had a good talk with DP last night and got some stuff sorted out so am feeling much more proactive now.

petitfilou am VERY of you having moved already - we're not moving for another few weeks and it will be so great to be in our house and unpacking, instead of here, packing, which is what we'll be doing for the next little while.

Shazza2002 · 29/04/2008 10:25

Cyteen - I've had the depression thing so. It's so odd. I have got everything I could wish for at the moment but still feel crap. So you have my sympathys.

Dizzy - Of course wedding outfits. Well I now have 2 tops!! One is from New Look and is kind of a ra ra top. Quite bright (but I'm going to stand out anyway because of size so not like I can hide anyway!) It sounds hideous but I actually quite like it. Then managed to find another in Dorothy Perkins, again, lot's of layers but in a cream/gold colour. So now on the hunt for some nice cream trousers (tops are long enough to cover lard arse)

Shazza2002 · 29/04/2008 10:27

Actually, just found flowery top on New Look and it's actually a dress But fits me as a dress

Shazza2002 · 29/04/2008 10:27

Fits me as a top I should have said

LadyOfWaffle · 29/04/2008 10:33

Shazza @ your holiday. I am getting 2 weeks at my mums when she goes to Ireland (more to get out of the way of the builders at ours!) Woop! Nothing new here, just waiting for the door to go incase some of my things arrive today although I can't unpack the glider until the house is done as it's sooooo dusty in here. I can't work out how far gone I am, the MW and hospital seem to be saying different things and now I am all confused! Better go check on a website... I can't even think what week I am in x

dizzydixies · 29/04/2008 10:35

shazza thats fab - that tunic I bought I tried on again and in the space of 3wks its not catching at the back so will take it back and go up another size

will head off to Newlook and Dot P on your recommendation too - were the matty clothes you got?

cyteen you've got a lot doing on at the moment with your brother's anny and the pending move - never mind the baby! don't be too hard on yourself, am glad you and DP had a good chat though

VintageGardenia · 29/04/2008 10:39

Hi everyone, I always seem to be apologising for not having had time to catch up and I STILL haven't. Few things that stick out in a quick skim of the last few pages are petitfilou having achieved the move - well done, you're in - and rather bizarrely ALBS's knickers...

Also longwayfromhome being a bit in the dumps. Are you in Arg for DH work or for family? Friend of mine has Arg. DP and they have just had most fabuloso ds (well he's 9 monthsish) so handsome and sweetnatured. They visited Arg for about 2 months after he was born & she said all the Arg family were abs. wonderful about him apart from feeding him sugary pastries etc in effort to be kind!

Started preg yoga last night, finally, and it was lovely. There's a couple's day coming up too, might twist DP's arm for that though he's not exactly the yoga type.

My mum out of hos at weekend and dog on mend, thanks all for vibes last week. We are off on hols to Iceland on Thur!

VintageGardenia · 29/04/2008 10:40

Wotcher dizzy.

VintageGardenia · 29/04/2008 10:42

cyteen sorry you've been low, the highs and lows can be so extreme at the moment, I find. Glad you seem to be having a good surge at the mo and are talking to your DP. xx

dizzydixies · 29/04/2008 10:45

VG!!!!! lovely to see you! delighted to hear news re mum & dog!

also re bloody holiday - whinge whine woe is me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

actually have never asked if am allowed to fly again now stopped bleeding can't afford one anyway as will need new car, sigh, arse!

Shazza2002 · 29/04/2008 10:49

The tops I got aren't matty I just got them in bigger sizes. They are that stretchty type material that will stretch over bump (I could end up eating my words and attending wedding in birthday suit)

I will post links - Not sure if they'll work

Shazza - can't get them to work

Shazza2002 · 29/04/2008 11:03

The Dorothy Perkins one is called - Cream Tiered Corsage Dress.

The New Look one is called - Floral Print Tiered Dress.

You should be able to find them if you're interested.

Shazza2002 · 29/04/2008 11:19

Well I have this little cardi/shrug thing to hide bingo wings. Would never consider showing shoulders off

dizzydixies · 29/04/2008 11:21
