Here's our shiney, new and slightly ameneded thread to reflect our main topic of conversation recently! Really didn't want to mention the cheese and rice in the same sentence, but as it is a favourite with so many of you, I had to add it in, sorry to Hanaflower!

Hello Ladies

I am due 19th Nov, and I am just counting down the days for 12 weeks because I am so tired and feel so sick.
I was ill from the start with cyst trouble but that has eased off now.
I saw the midwife for a routine appointment this morning and she was surprised I could stand up as my blood pressure is still low.

I have a DS aged 3 and DD 6 months so I can't even rest.

I am living on rice cripies and Squares crisps not very healthy but it is all I can eat.

Hope all you all others MS sufferers feel like your old selves soon

hello
Peppermint tea is fab for indigestion and good for nausea, but like with the lemon and ginger you must let it brew for 5 minutes!
I've spent all afternoon with 2 toddlers reaking havoc in my bedroom whilst freind and i lazed downstairs drinking (non caffinated) tea and eating donut (for her) and green beans (for me. Hmmph.)
Howvever have now cleaned up bombsite, made a lovely hot water bottle and am defrosting one of dd's homemade meals.
Desperatly trying to take my mind of horrid stomach craps and sharp pains in my abodomin! i think it may just be down to eating loads of fruit and not being all that used it, i don't have any bleeding or anything {serendippity hystericaly makes "everythings normal, i'm not a bit concerned" noises }

pinkyminky · 10/04/2008 18:26

I've been getting tummy cramps today- I think it's with being sick/having empty stomach. You probably do have fruit overload tummy, Serendipity.
Fortunately my DC seem to be entertaining me, this afternoon! DS has been dancing around with his pumkin bucket on his head whilst DD bangs her drum.

Emmanj · 10/04/2008 18:46

mummyhill · 10/04/2008 18:58

There is nothing you can do about the peeing in the night girls. Sorry but I tried everything I could think of with last two and nothing worked it is just nature having a joke and getting us used to getting up in the night.

tegan · 10/04/2008 19:33

HELP

I woke last night and felt a little unwell and this morning woke with raging ms.

I have felt sick all day and all i have done is drink water as am too afraid to eat.

Why has it started now at 7 weeks?

pinkyminky · 10/04/2008 19:42

Tegan poor you! I don't know why it's started now, same as why am I being sick now when I'm nearly 12 weeks, having not been that sick this time at all.Just one of those cruel pregnancy jokes. I would try to eat a little bit of something, though as you'll really feel rubbish with no food inside you. The worst thing that could happen is being sick and that's not so bad.

mabel1973 · 10/04/2008 20:07

sounds like loads of you are suffering with morning sickness! I am not too bad, just a bit of retching in the morning, but once i've had a cup and tea and some toast I'm fine. I am drinking loads as well, and get ridiculously hungry at about 4pm, i keep stealing bits of the DS's tea...

tegan · 10/04/2008 20:13

i feel really bad though that i feel so ill i can't make food for the dc's so today dd1 made lunch for her and her sister and 2 year old cousin i was meant to be looking after but they seem to of looked after themselves today.

lackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2008 20:25

tegan, as far aS I'M AWARE, ms USUALLY KICKS IN WITH A VENGEANCE AT AROUND 6 WEEKS (oops, sorry for being shouty ).

Mine has just stepped up a gear 2 days ago at 10 weeks , but I think that's because I haven't given DD a breast feed since Tuesday. I'm seriously regretting that and thinking of getting back into it full time if this is what I have to suffer. Started mid-morning today and has gotten progressively worse through out the day. My house is a tip and I have no energy to tackle it.

I've also had to resort to disposables as dealing with DDs pooey re-useables was too, too much (poor DH has a pile of pooey nappies to deal with when he gets home tomorrow )

pinkyminky · 10/04/2008 20:33

Dc's will be fine, Tegan. You can't help being ill.
Lacka- do you think breastfeeding was keeping ms at bay, then?
Dh has been in charge of nappy washing- he seems fairly resigned to it, bless. I'm still folding though, I hate the way he folds them! [ungrateful emoticon]

lackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2008 20:35

i do pinky. i only used to feel sick during a feed. now I feel sick all the time!

pinkyminky · 10/04/2008 20:43

I'd definitely keep it up for a bit, if you can. I don't seem to ovulate when I'm breastfeeding, so had to wait 'til I'd finished to get pregnant. Wish I could've carried on if it reduces ms!

lackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2008 21:09

lucky you pinky. my periods came back at 9 weeks, inspite of DD being ex BF

pinkyminky · 10/04/2008 21:13

oh no, auntie flo returned at six months with both, just no eggs, I didn't check every month, but as far as can gather I didn't ovulate. I tend to feel my ovulation for a few days. If my period stopped completely, DS would be breastfed til she leaves home!

lackaDAISYcal · 10/04/2008 21:30

lol

Lolis · 10/04/2008 22:24

Hi girls. I've had a bit of light brown spotting today and am a bit worried. No pain out of the ordinary though. Is this common - has anyone else had it?

AutumnLady, I'm thirsty all the time too! I hadn't heard of it as a symptom before, so now I feel more normal, thanks! I suppose with all that extra blood and fluid in the system, we need to drink more???

twinklingfairy · 10/04/2008 22:53

omg omg OMG!!!!
Was called back to the docs today. Was travelling south at the time and was about 70miles away (an hour and a half?).
About turn with the car cos was told that my hCG levels had Doubled!!
Scary news!

Went to the hospital again, with my full bladder for a scan.
The lady doing it said she wanted the consultant to have a look too and pos do an internal for a better look.
So I am lying there on the bed thing, dying for a wee, whilst the doc comes in, From Home!! Just five minutes they kept saying, he is walking in. OMG, Run man! I am going to explode!

So, in he comes wee scan over the tum and he sends me out to empty my bladder so that he can do the internal. He may have good news he says, Yeah like it is easily fixed and I won't need chemo, fab

In the thing goes and up on the screen comes.......................................................wait for it, it's good..............................................................................................A Heartbeat!!!!!!!!
Not only that but a baby!! I could see it's spine, its head and it's stubby little arms. And that heartbeat!? Wow!

OMG I am pregnant! 7+3weeks

WTF! I had a D&C!?
HTF did the little blighter survive?
But there it is, healthy and normal looking!

I am in shock and have no clue how I feel and what to feel.
Cross for the c@ck up, the anxiety, fear.
Elation, I am pregnant!
Fear again, I may still get very sick. Hyperemisis could still happen again.

omg omg OMG!!!

juanitad · 10/04/2008 23:00

wow twinkling, that is totally amazing. Your little bean must be a strong one, a real fighter........ Wow, just can't believe it!! You must be overjoyed!! Really really pleased for you

Roca · 10/04/2008 23:04

Lolis - lots of us on here have had brown spotting. It is really common and whilst it sounds odd, brown is actually good - well better than bright red.

I would call your Dr / MS/ EPU in the morning though just to get it checked. Is good sign that you also have no specfific extra pains.

It's 11pm and I have friends up tomorrow for the w/e so am cleaning the lounge, did my roome earlier, dh doing bathroom so just kitchen and kids room tomorrow.

This week has just been so manic - I just can't fit everything in - does anyone else struggle with this? I still have bills to sort and school letters to fill in and friends to respond to on email and work and washing and I need to buy bigger clothes etc etc etc............
