Mum2b2BabyRoo · 16/04/2008 18:11

Congratulations Molly!!! Fab news - can't wait to hear all about it and of course see those baby pics! Hope you and Ailish are doing well.

TLSM · 16/04/2008 19:12

Congrates Molly see I knew you would be next!

Ignore me PAL just having a very hormonal no one loves me kind of day very tearie I hate feeling like this I am now finding it had to walk and have a continual back ache and shotting pains and I could have another 3 weeks of this

christmaspixie · 16/04/2008 19:15

Congrats Molly!! Lovely name x x

ThePFJ · 16/04/2008 20:29

congrats Molly! I agree the name is wonderful. Well done!

Quick questions: Should I still be bleeding???
And... will this lumpy overhang like.. EVER go away??

ThePFJ · 16/04/2008 20:32

Oh and I don't know how long I can keep up the BFing now. It's still driving me mad. If my body weren't so beat up maybe I'd feel better about it....

SuzeM · 16/04/2008 20:41

Congratulations Molly and VS!

PAL, I have noted down that cinema list so thanks for that.

I am feeling very sorry for myself today, feel all achy and shivery and have a sore throat. However, no sign of the baby. I am trying to walk around a lot but my back is really starting to hurt.

I have an appointment tomorrow with the accountant to look forward to.

SuzeM · 16/04/2008 20:41

PFJ, hope the bf gets easier for you.

ThePFJ · 16/04/2008 21:18

One good thing about having a baby though... I hardly want to smoke at all now

EllieG · 16/04/2008 21:57

Blimey molly congratulations! Fantastic news!

Hang in there PFJ - but if you can't carry on the BF please don't beat yourself up. Baby will be happy and healthy either way xxx

Hugs to TLSM and Suze. TLSM - I am exactly the same today - have been a cow to DSD and DP all day, all snappy and teary and everything makes me want to cry or shout. Or both. Hang on in there ladies, this too will all pass x

Scampmum · 16/04/2008 23:05

Congrats Molly, can't wait to hear all about it!

PFJ, think bleeding can be up to six weeks, and tum can be longer. I promise promise promise you will feel better about everything soon!

chipmonkey · 16/04/2008 23:27

Hang in there PFJ! It really does get better. And I know after a CS in particular you really can feel that your body has been taken apart and put back together the wrong way but that will improve too!

PortAndLemon · 17/04/2008 08:38

Congratulations Molly! Good timing from your mother there then...

PFJ, you could post about it on the breat and bottlefeeding section and get some more advice. Bleeding quite normal -- I bled for 5 weeks last time and apparently it tends to be much the same from one birth to another so I'm expecting the same this time.

scorpiohasstillnothadbaby · 17/04/2008 09:28

PFJ - bleeding up to 6 weeks is normal, but tell someone if it gets bright red again or you have big clots.

Molly - cannot wait to hear more.

Can someone please tell me how you say Ailish?

40+6 today.

Peachy · 17/04/2008 09:31

pfj, yes i always bleed six weeks, and it will get heavier when youre active

have you tried fennel tea for the bf? has helped me loads, that and a painkiller 30 minutes before feed until we had the latch sorted. tea is in asda and sainsburys.

Carey87 · 17/04/2008 09:32

ay-lish?
i-leash?

sorry you still have no lo yet scorpio

Cx

scorpiohasstillnothadbaby · 17/04/2008 09:33

i was thinking Ay-lish. Its very beautiful.

Carey87 · 17/04/2008 09:36

it is a very nice name, its a delicate name, i really like it

chipmonkey · 17/04/2008 10:01

Ay-lish, is the usual pronunciation. Lovely name.

Denny185 · 17/04/2008 10:08

Congrats Molly, love the name cant wait to hear story/see pics.

PFJ - cant remember if you were a section or not, after DS I bled for 12 weeks of varying flow and was told normal not to worry. Section tummies can also be left with a bit of overhang but they def get smaller just take a while. BF has got to be your decision but dont feel guilty if you choose to stop, its only best if its best for mum - if your tierd/stressed etc and not going to bond with LO that wont help anyone. If its case of time your tied down to feeds they do get quicker (DS ended up being able to feed in 20 mins). Have you considered the other option of mix feeding, to introduce 1 or 2 bottles may just give you the break you need to be able to continue to BF for the rest of them. Whatever you do sending you lots of ((((((((((hugs))))))))) its not an easy time but does improve - promise.

munchkinmum · 17/04/2008 10:50

Morning

Am usually a bit of a lurker on this thread but I'm on the list!!! I've had a show this morning so am trying to get things moving by getting on the birth ball and having a bounce. Feeling a bit 'periody' (IYKWIM) and have a bit of backache but overall v. nervous!!

Hoping everyone else OK!

MUNCH

Soph73 · 17/04/2008 10:54

Morning all. Congrats on those who´ve had babies over the last couple of days I take it VS had her section? I haven´t caught up with posts yet

Well I spent most of Tues afternoon at the maternity hospital because my bp rocketed (it did the same with DS1) so had to be monitored for 40 mins. However, quite a few women were coming in with contractions so kept getting pushed to the bottom of the queue. I swear it´s that health centre, every time I go there my bp goes through the roof but when I go to my other health centre it´s fine

Part of me kept thinking though, I´ve got my bag in the car so really wouldn´t mind if he put in an appearance However, no such luck. People at school are now taking bets on when he´s due & DH and my mate (who´s covering my maternity leave) have got a 20 euro bet that he´ll be born on the 26th (DH´s 40th) We´re going out to dinner that night so I don´t mind if he´s born then but he better let me have my dinner

Soph73 · 17/04/2008 10:56

How exciting munchkinmum Best of luck.

Soph73 · 17/04/2008 11:04

Have just found the post about VS - wow, what a whopper Congrats VS When I went to the health centre on Tues they did a growth scan and Sam now weighs 3.1kgs (just under 7lbs), which is OK by me because DS1 was only 3.2kgs when he was born so that´s obviously the norm for me

My MIL arrives on Monday and I still haven´t tidied her room I just can´t be arsed .... I´m sooooo lazy at the mo.

Soph73 · 17/04/2008 11:15

Right, am off to do some things as you ladies are obviously doing stuff and putting me to shame Have to go to health centre in morning but hopefully will be able to MN later on. Take care everyone. Soph xxxx
