Hello - sorry for late arrival - I'm due 23rd April and planning a home birth - Victorian Squalour has given me loads of reassuring advice on a separate thread and advised me to come on here as well. Love this new discovery!
Congratulations to anyone who's had an April baby! And am very excited about hearing about anyone else expecting next week is feeling...?!
VS - I can't believe you are due tomorrow and you were still offering such sage advice - has your brain not fried?! Are you not in bed reading Jackie Collins?? Best best best of luck with the CS tomorrow.

I gave birth to daughter on Fri am, 7lbs12. when we're a little more settled will relate my experience - nothing like the calm water birth i had envisaged...

Oh well done to you Aussie - lovely lovely news. Hope you're relaxing at home now and not too upset by the worry afterwards.

And good luck to you VS for tomorrow. Hopefully it'll all start happening overnight tonight but if not, enjoy meeting your LO and I can't wait to hear your news.

I worked out today that I probably won't have my baby until early May based on how it worked with DD. I'm ok with that (was it you moominsmummy that was asking if anyone wasn't in a hurry? I'm certainly not!!) ... but it seems like a long time away!

Evening ladies - Congrats to CeylonSapphire on another girl to even things up!

Saw a lovely consultant at the hospital who was very sensible (IMVHO) and said no need for a scan, just see how things go, monitor movements and they'll induce on Sunday as per usual hospital protocol if no developments before then.

Wasn't there for too long either in the end - thank goodness - back home by 4.

Having seen my best friend and her 3 week old yesterday I'm actually not at all keen for this baby to be born It can stay put whilst I'm still having half decent nights sleep - She's been averaging 2 hours/night for the past 4 nights. The baby sleeps all day and her 2 year old is awake all day. [scared mummy emoticon]

Well I am getting some contractions again but nothing regular enough. Very painful but not yet excruciating. This could go on forever. My Mum is coming over in the morning. Looking forward to seeing her and also to seeing what the Doc says tomorrow. Don't mind when the baby comes but would just love to get some sleep to have the energy to deliver. But it's impossible to sleep with these random pains...

Hey all, I'm off to get a good nights sleep before tomorrow.
Am pretty gutted it's coming by CS but hopefully all will be well and a healthy baby is our ultimate goal.
If I haven't poted by tomorrow just want to say thanks to everyone for their support and listening to me whinge over the last nine months.

ds3 been in hospital today- school called to say split lip, did we want to check? dh popped over (2 minute walk)- needed gravel removing, stitches, repair work, antibioitics and cant go in sun for 14 days - he's been at school 6 days, last week they were giving him milk (allergic) now this! And the poor wee lad never even cried. Thing is, hospital didnt beleive school's account of what happened, said there was a metal object involved for a start (school said just fell over) but of course ds3 cannot tell us what happened.

oh peachy that's all you need the poor little thing! Bloody school I bet they havent a clue what happened bless him

Maybe the kids are telling the teachers he 'fell over' and the school don't know any different? Poor little man, hope he is OK peachy x

Hows you Ellie?

Very rested today ta for asking. Dad had DSD all day so I got some much-needed shut-eye. I think this baby is going to be late. She's much too comfy in there. At least school hols will be over though, so silver linings eh?

All OK with you? How's your poorly man? Any more requests via text?

lol - no he is better now back to work tomorrow, TBH just think he needed the rest today to get over it. Sounds like you had a nice day and good that dp is letting you get peace in the hols.

Well, to be fair to her, she's not late yet, as not due for another 2 days. It's just any twinges I did have are lessening, I think I'm in for the long haul. This is OK actually as have booked a haircut and highlights on thurs - though did tell hairdresser that if I didn't turn up was probably because am having a baby.

DP has booked a day off on wed so that's nice - I think is good for DSD for her to have some Daddy time before baby comes anyway. My Dad was fab with her today, so she's not feeling starved of attention or that's it's all about the new arrival, and is very chilled.

Glad your DP is better. What do Reilly and Jamie think about getting a baby sis?
