Mollyfloss - I would eat whatever you fancy!

I have been absolutely exhausted past three days - all of a sudden I need to sleep from 9pm to 7am and then need 2 hours in the afternoon as well! Anyone else suddenly been hit by this wall of tiredness? Is it going to improve?

Finally took DS on his trip to Manchester today - he loved the whole thing - loved the train (buying the ticket, looking out of the window , having no seatbelts to wear LOL!) and then we didn't have to queue at all to go on the big wheel - he loved it - wasn't bothered at all by the height. then took him to pizza hut where he had spag bol and I had salad (v healthy) and a pizza (v unhealthy). then came home on train - was a really lovely expedition - we took loads of photos (including of the train etc) so we can make a scrapbook of it next week. I feel like such a good mummy today! (makes up for the months of morning sickness when he watched hours and hours of TV every day!)

moomins - i have had this for the last 2 weeks now, tis to be expected so late in pregnancy.

PortAndLemon · 13/04/2008 19:12

Slow-release carbs better sugary stuff will/may cause eventual sugar crash and you want to be well-fuelled for the long haul. So complex unrefined carbs are a good idea oats a good option, or barley, spelt, high-bran or seeded options.

moominsmummy · 13/04/2008 19:14

thanks Scorpio - what a pain though - still have loads of nesting to do but not sure I can be bothered now

I don't think the back hall really needs another coat of paint anyway.......

ladylush · 13/04/2008 19:24

Hurry up Scorpio - I'm getting fed up checking the birth announcment page

scorpio1 · 13/04/2008 19:24

I am trying very hard, lol!

ladylush · 13/04/2008 19:29

You must be fed up. Have you tried the usual tricks?

scorpio1 · 13/04/2008 19:30

Yes luckily DH has decided we can have sex again..he lasted about 2 days!! He didnt want to becuase i had bleeding. Am taking RL tablets, etc etc. Sweep on Weds.

VictorianSqualor · 13/04/2008 19:34

Lol, I had sex three times this morning, didnt fucking work did it.

ThePFJ · 13/04/2008 19:36

I tried alsorts to try and bring labour on. It was only when I relaxed and forgot about it things started to truly happen.

scorpio1 · 13/04/2008 19:37

3 times, lol!!!

ladylush · 13/04/2008 19:46

vs. You mean didn't work to induce labour - I'm sure your dh thought it worked Especially as he managed it 3 times!

Denny185 · 13/04/2008 19:47

3 times, the alternative perineal massage

VictorianSqualor · 13/04/2008 19:49

Yep, too true denny, thought maybe different postions would be better for it and felt all sorts of things stretching

ladylush, DP's reply if ever moan about the baby is 'Do you wanna have sex?'

scorpio1 · 13/04/2008 19:51

DH said today 'i have done everything to help you get this baby out' and i said 'no, lets have more sex' he called me a dirty bird but i will get him later when he feels better!!

Denny185 · 13/04/2008 19:52

Hope it has more than that effect for you, no-one could say you havn't done your utmost to get this LO out.

scorpio1 · 13/04/2008 19:54

now dont excited but im off for a shower, ok

peach123 · 13/04/2008 19:57

sorry to butt in on conversation but can anyone back up the theory that giving dh oral is better to speed up labour???

peach123 · 13/04/2008 19:58

as in getting it started not actually during labour!!

PortAndLemon · 13/04/2008 20:11

Prostaglandins are fatty acids so will be digested by lipase in the stomach before they manage to have any effect on anything. I think the "oral" rumour originates with a man...

chipmonkey · 13/04/2008 20:12

PMSL at not actually during labour! Guess you would probably have to ask the MW to leave the room!

Mollyfloss · 13/04/2008 20:12

Still not sure if this is the beginnings of labour or not - more show, period type pains, sometimes tightening like contractions but not sure if they are, are not regular at all in any case. I am very tired so think I will head off to bed in case I need the energy later. I hope I can sleep. I've been eating and I have told DH to make sure I eat some porridge if it looks like this is really labour. Anyway I think I will be back on inthe morning. Goodnight!

chipmonkey · 13/04/2008 20:15

Sounds promising Molly!
