TLSM · 11/04/2008 17:11

Oh PFJ what a time of it! I can remember when the broke my waters and that bloody hurts so someone trying three times must have been horrid! Glad it has all work out now though and your all home safe (with loads and loads of drugs I hope)

Mollyfloss · 11/04/2008 17:12

Just catching up here. Congrats to honeybee, BR & PFJ!!! Think I've already congratulated the other new Mum's. There are so many babies popping out now it's hard to keep up. I love all the pics of babies & bumps! God the babies are cute! I still find it hard to believe that I could be any day now. I just feel like I will be pregnant forever and I'm fairly zen about the whole thing.

PFJ: Sorry to hear about your traumatic experience but glad that you are now so happy

VS: It does sound like a show, doesn't it! I mean what do I know anyway still it's exciting!!!

TLSM · 11/04/2008 17:12

VS I have been having a show for the last two weeks since I went into early labour its like a pinky streamed with red and a bit brown snot type thing [nice]

ThePFJ · 11/04/2008 17:13

I just read out my last post to my DP and now he is crying again!!
I love him SO much!

Sigh.
xxx

honeybee10 · 11/04/2008 18:36

PFJ You made me cry too!! So sorry it was so awful, let everyone look after you now [hugs] xx

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 18:40

VS - you still here?

VictorianSqualor · 11/04/2008 18:41

Am about Scorpio yes, no labour yet!

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 18:43

Re show (didnt want to post TMI for nothing!!)

Will look like snot, very thick, could have blood or pink tinge in it(but normal if not), or look 'marbelled' with blood. will not be lumpy or anything, cannot seperate it from itself it is very thick. Mostly clear.

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 18:44

DH has gone to do weekly shop

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 19:11

and has forgotten the list

Peachy · 11/04/2008 19:24

pic finally on profile

i never knew what happened to my show- never appeared! bizarre

pfj- took me over a year to write down birth story for ds1, was hugely cathartic but you have to be in the right place. give yourself lots of time, and remember to be aware of post traumatic stress disorder after such a harrowing time - and what was thatabout waters? mine went properly as Sebastian was born- not in labour before??

VS- wont know about asd until he's 3 as regression can happen any time and did wih ds3 but he's already doing the muimicky chatty thing which ds1 never, and not arching away from cuddles- both extremely good signs. dh and i both think he's ok comparing to brothres at same age

bloody 1 handed typing making muscles ache lol

scorpio1 · 11/04/2008 19:26
VictorianSqualor · 11/04/2008 19:31

He's gorgeous. I just welled up at you thinking he is ok, you all really deserve some luck this time round!

PFJ, I second what Peachy says about your birth story and post traumatic stress, I'm sure you've seen on here how much DD and DS's births affected me, take your time, but when youwant to talk, people will be here to listen.

EllieG · 11/04/2008 19:42

Oooo peachy your new boy is gorgeous You do cook 'em nice, it must be said.

PFJ - your post made me cry too. Shows there's hope my DP - I remember you saying yours wasn't particularly excited about baby beforehand, so to hear he is blubbing like a good 'un makes me think that mine might too! Sorry things were traumatic for you - make sure you look after yourself LOADS at the moment, and keep an eye out for yourself feeling emotionally wobbly so you can take support if you need it.

I am cream crackered. Had DSD and her mad mate all day today. Survived til her mother came to pick her up at 5 and DP came home and then almost ran up to bed for sleep, was so tired. Am still knackered now - feel really down when I get like this, don't feel well at all and like I can't cope with anything. Have let DP take the strain this evening and he is doing everything, bless him.

Scampmum · 11/04/2008 19:55

Bless you, Ellie, I know exactly how you feel! I felt like that this morning and that was after 9 hours' sleep, not a hectic day with two kids

PFJ - you got me, too. You poor thing. Am so delighted you've managed to bond with your boy in spite of such a traumatic experience.

Peachy - he's a beaut!

God, I'm starving. Hope DH gets home soon. Sausages and chips for tea - love it.

lorisparkle · 11/04/2008 20:13

Well I have tried to read back but my brain now hurts. Congratulations to all you who have had their babies. I'm now a week overdue so feeling .

Had to go into hospital last night as had constant stomach pains with occasional braxton hix and back ache. Hospital was jam packed but in the end the pain went away and no one knew what had caused it. Anyway whilst there they did an internal and cervix is no where near ready and baby was only 3/5 - better than 4/5 last week though. Had an appointment today to discuss options and this is the plan...

If no baby on Monday then pre c-section check, internal exam just in case they can do a stretch and sweep / break my waters and induce or just wait and see.

If no baby on Thursday then repeat of internal exam in case they can break my waters but if no luck then another c-section. What a PITA.

This baby seems quite content to sit and wait. I am a lazy thing though and have not done all the things to encourage it to come out.

Sorry (as usual) for not responding to everyone's post. Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting for their LOs.

northeastmummy · 11/04/2008 20:24

PFJ - I'm so pleased you have such happy memories to hold on to after such a hard time. Hopefully the horrid bits will fade with time and all you'll have left will be the lovely bits. I've come across a few people recently who had awful first labours but have gone on to have brilliant experiences next time around so try and not let it put you off too much.

Peachy - those cheeks are to die for!!

Honeybee - I can sympathise with your PITA, I know how awful they can be. Speak to your doctor and they'll prescribe you something strong for them hopefully. Other than that, try an ice pack. Hopefully that'll give you a bit of relief for now.

chipmonkey · 11/04/2008 21:43

Peachy and Siikibaam, your little men are gorgeous!!!

TLSM · 11/04/2008 21:53

Oh peachy he is so sweet all of these handsome men

Well i tried the warm compress on the breasts and the breast pump for an hour 15 mins each side and nothing oh except a blister on my left nipple will not be trying that again soon! well until DS arrives!

Going to bed now with very sore boobies and feeling like a right idiot think it may be best to leave him until he is done cooking!

Night all

Mollyfloss · 11/04/2008 22:25

Peachy: He is too cute!

Well I have had quite a nice day. DH decided to take the day off and we just chilled out, went for walks, stopped for a cup cake (DH has also developed a sweet tooth) and then met another couple for drinks and indian. I didn't even bother with a hot curry, just had my usual chicken korma. I haven't really done anything to bring on labour except for drink 1 or 2 cups of raspberry leaf tea a day. I'm due on Sunday and sort of think the baby will come when she wants to but I might be thinking differently a week from now!

PortAndLemon · 11/04/2008 23:21

PFJ, specifically jack russell puppies? Sounds like a nightmare experience (up until the bit with your DH, which is all sweet and awwwwwwwwwwww )... remember if it starts to bother you a few weeks or months down the line there are groups like the Birth Trauma Association who can help you deal with any emotional fallout. And (should you ever feel like having sex or another baby again ) it is possible to have a long-drawn-out, not-particularly-successful labour and emergency c-section first time and a nice easy vaginal birth second time.

Will look at Peachy's photos when I get home (at my mother's showing off DD at the moment...)

chipmonkey · 11/04/2008 23:30

BTW, what's happened to Soph73? Am I wrong or has she not posted in a while?

Mollyfloss · 12/04/2008 09:06

Morning!

Soph73 posted yesterday morning. She said she was busy doing stuff until Monday so it's probably normal if we don't hear from her.

How is everyone this morning? Looks like it is going to be a nice day in London

christmaspixie · 12/04/2008 09:11

My first due date today!!

Morning everyone, I'm like you Molly, I just think this one will come when it's ready, I'm jsut enjoying the last bits of proper sleep! I KNOW I'm going to start getting annoyed by next week though. I was convinced this one would be early. Oh well.

Only thing is I'm eating like a pig, and bump just keeeeeepps growing! Argh! I'll never get back in my size 8 jeans again!!

PFJ, I'm so glad you're home and okay. Can't wait to see pics of your little boy. Get loads of rest x

Carey87 · 12/04/2008 10:23

Morning all!

PFJ - Glad your okay hun, weve all been worrying about ya! Get some pics on here asap

VS - ????? Anything????

Well had another night of back aches and tummy cramps that came every 10-14 minutes apapart for about 2 hours, and then nothing again , DP completely oblivious to anything that went on (like me howling in agony, kicking my birth ball down the stairs, breaking a picture )
