Oh many congratulations Peachy and aprilfoolsbaby. Lovely names too (we had Sebastian as a possible too.

Hope you are bothing doing well and gazing at your gorgous little ones.

Can't wait to hear how PFJ is doing.

40 + 2 and p*ssed off with people texting a ringing too. Had some more show but nothing dramatic. Resigned to this one being very late (DS was 41+2).

V. depressed... can't remember the last time I felt this low...

Even DH just called and asked how things were. " Had the baby dear, sorry forgot to phone" aaaarrggghhh

Congratulations to Peachy and aprilfoolsbaby.

I am now 3 days overdue and the 'still here then..' comments are getting rather tiresome. I have had a day of braxton hicks coming every 30mins to an hour but then go to sleep and nothing. This is such a different experience than the 'lets get you booked in for a CS a week early' experience with DS1. I seem to have times when I feel v. depressed bunnyrabbit and then suddenly feel very happy. Must be all these hormones. Hope you are feeling more cheery soon (especially if LO decides to arrive soon!)

scorpio1 · 07/04/2008 12:49

oh yes DH keeps asking where she is when he is at work, whenever he gets out of shower, etc etc. I say oh yes dear here she comes, quick catch!

Mollyfloss · 07/04/2008 13:44

Congrats to Peachy & AFB!!! Lovely names.

I've just been to a check-up and as the baby's heart spiked to 170 when the Doc listened to it he sent me down to be monitored by a fetal monitor for 20 mins. He said he was just being extra cautious and all was fine when I was monitored, thank god. The baby is nicely engaged but no real idea if she will come early or late. The only indication is that my Mum was late with me, with all 4 of us actually so there is a good chance I will be overdue with this LO also which is what I am expecting.

PortAndLemon · 07/04/2008 13:55

My mother was 2-3 weeks late with all four of us, but I've been 2 days early with both of mine... (came as a big surprise first time round)

Scampmum · 07/04/2008 14:13

CONGRATS AFB and Peachy, beautiful names, can't wait to hear more. Must confess to having misted up a bit at reading your announcements.

Molly, forgot to say sympathies for your tube nightmare. I think I would have wet my pants! Your poor DH - bloody London Underground.

Nothing going on here, although DH phoned to say he doesn't want to be at work and could I please go into labour because paternity leave is basically like a holiday - he clarified saying 'a chance to hang out with you two which is what a holiday is these days'. He'll soon see! Having definite twinges but since yesterday have had really bad heartburn so assume baby has floated out of cervix again (that's what midwife said in my dream last night but unfortunately/fortunately VS appears to have undermined the predictive powers of my dreams!).

Found DD really hard work this morning - she has a terrible cold and I think is also getting some molars. Thank goodness she's napping so I can get some mumsnetting important stuff done. I am also a grumpy cow which doesn't help!

Best labour wishes to all, esp. VS. I am still really nervous about having my first contraction! so weird.

Peachy · 07/04/2008 14:18

birth story

willr ead thread later- hope everyone OK

northeastmummy · 07/04/2008 14:53

Wowee it's hotting up on here! Big hugs to Peachy and aprilfoolsbaby - I'm with everyone else on the names. GORGEOUS! You're setting very high standards .

Big hugs as well to everyone who's hanging in there. MN is certainly proving its worth for a bit of venting. I think it's quite common to feel depressed and grumpy at this stage when hormones are doing their own thing. I hope you're all doing ok.

Has VS been on today? Did she have an appointment for a sweep or something I seem to remember?

I'm keen to hang on for a bit so will happily be the receiver of all moans and groans. MIL phoned today though to "check we're all ok" - she has a spooky way of predicting things so I'm seriously hoping she's got it wrong this time!!

bunyanvillas · 07/04/2008 15:01

Peachy, what a great birth story and loving the humour there!

VS - sorry for the delay, have emailed you ds's name for the list! Things are going really well here, have just been knackered as he has been feeding constantly and all night (of course) for the last few days. The milk has come in now so hopefully things will start to settle a wee bit soon ...

VictorianSqualor · 07/04/2008 15:03

I've just emailed everyone bunyanvillas DS's name, at least everyone whose email I have so if you havent recieved it let me know your email.

Lovely name bunyanvillas.

Glad the feeding is going well.

VictorianSqualor · 07/04/2008 15:04

Oh and my sweep is any minute, just waiting for the mw now. Am also pretty much decided to put off my CS for a week. Going to speak to mw about it when she gets here.

northeastmummy · 07/04/2008 15:11

Go VS ... go VS ... go VS ... I have everything crossed for good news from MW!!!

northeastmummy · 07/04/2008 15:13

Lovely name bunyanvillas! I'm going to have a look on facebook for your photos - I think I'll be able to find you from your email. Look out for my friend request .

moominsmummy · 07/04/2008 15:16

Brilliant names bunyan - particular like your thought for needing a posh version of name for when he gets older!

northeastmummy · 07/04/2008 15:19

bunyan - I can't find you on facebook. Are you friends with anyone from here yet?

Soph73 · 07/04/2008 15:36

Congrats AFB & Peachy
Am still at work feeling fat & knackered. Am planning on going off sick though at the end of the week before my maternity leave kicks in.

bunnyrabbit · 07/04/2008 15:37

Lori, so annoying isn't it. I wish I was strong enough not to answer the phone, but I can't just leave it ring.

I know it sounds silly, but we have a really big weekend do 9th - 11th May and we're all going. I was so hoping to have 5 weeks at least to try and establish BFing and get my new LO settled (and get rid of my tummy).

Problem s I lost 21Lb before I got pregnant, and have not put on much except for my belly, so none of my clothes will fit me anyway.

The later he is the more I worry if we're doing the right thing. Lots of famly and friends going and everyone assures us they'll help out and we do have a lovely big family room in the hotel.

Ho hum.. best laid plans and all that..

BR
PS Making second loaf with new breadmaker. So not just mumsnetting!!

bunyanvillas · 07/04/2008 15:39

Hi Northeast mummy, I'm friends with PortandLemon so hopefully you can find me via her ...

Soph73 · 07/04/2008 15:51

Bunny - I´m sure you´ll have lots of help. It would be nice though if we could predict when our little darlings are going to make an appearance

sagitta · 07/04/2008 15:53

Thanks for emailing name, VS - good luck this afternoon...

Lovely name, BV... congrats, and I hope the LO is doing fine!

sagitta · 07/04/2008 15:54

Hi Soph, nice to see you are still at work too...I am going to try to stop next week, as my mind is not really on it anymore!
But it's good to know there will be someone else lingering at the end with me!

ToastAddict · 07/04/2008 15:56

Thanks for the email VS - hope all is going well with the midwife. Glad you have made a decision you are happy with, must be very difficult

Bunyan - lovely name, glad to hear things are going well

bunnyrabbit · 07/04/2008 15:57

Oh wouldn't it.

MIL has said she look after DS1 so I can concentrate on my new LO, but I'm just a bit nervous about taking such a young baby away for the weekend.

Omg I've just realised, how can I breast feed in an evening dress!!

Oh crap.

honeybee10 · 07/04/2008 15:58

Hi there, had growth scan last week which showed the babys growth was tailing off. Have been back for a doppler scan and fetal monitoring today which was all fine. Am now 37+2 weeks but Dr said whilst everything stable and happy baby it would be better out than in now so did a sweep and am already 2-3 cm dilated so am favourable for an induction at the end of the week so could have a baby by the weekend!!!! if not before. Watch this space!!

christmaspixie · 07/04/2008 16:08

ooh congrats to AFB and Peachy, what a fab story! Thanks Vs for the email. All lovely names! Hope PFJ will be back soon with a birth announcement! She must be having baby today.....
