ThePFJ · 05/04/2008 21:37

ThePFJ · 05/04/2008 21:40

No baby yet for me.
More bleeding though, and just when I thought it had finished, more show. Yay!
-changes her knickers-

My two little girl cats are ALL OVER me tonight. -hopes this is a sign-

chipmonkey · 05/04/2008 22:02

Oh yes, PFJ, apparently they can tell when you're about to have your kitten!!!

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 05/04/2008 22:28

Oooh how exciting PFJ! My friends cats went 'moggy' when she was in labour, so I def think they know!

ThePFJ · 05/04/2008 23:04

Really???
Cool!
-crosses her fingers-

bunnyrabbit · 05/04/2008 23:48

But not your legs!!!

Night night...

Denny185 · 06/04/2008 07:18

Yeah it snowed overnight

ThePFJ · 06/04/2008 07:52

Hi everyone - update...

Started having very strong contractions at 6:30am, feels like being literally split in two >.< VERYVERY painful etc. They were at 6 mins apart and I had alot more 'show' which I guess means my uterus etc. area is being very active. They have tailed off to 9 mins apart atm, but are still happening.
Much fun for me!
If this does turn into another false alarm I swear I AM going to bite my own foot off!!!

Will let you know more if and when I can.
xxx

ThePFJ · 06/04/2008 07:52

Argh back to 5mins apart o.O

Peachy · 06/04/2008 08:23

Good luck PFJ!

Peachy · 06/04/2008 08:27

Aussie you didn't live far from us then when you went to caerphilly?

Cats and babies- yes they know. Everyone knows the story of when my cat saved mine and DS1's life, right? I had severe hyperemesis and Dh ahd to go to work. I'd stayed inbed but couldn't get downstairs and had no phone with me when I started to get really ill, Dh came back from work, came upstairs and thought I was asleep- I was going into a coma. Cat attacked his ankles repeatedly until he came back upstairs to see what had aggravated him- realised how ill I actually was when he couldn't wake me- and I was in hospital on a drip within an hour.

I love my cat!

AussieDivaOnABreak · 06/04/2008 09:18

Morning guys - GO GO GO GO PFJ!!! I really hope this is it for you this time - and it MUST be snowing where you are. It has literally been dumping the white stuff here, certainly since before I got out of bed about an hour and a half ago. What a romantic setting for a lo to arrive into the world. If you disappear we'll know it's the real deal xxx

My dh and dd have braved the weather so dd can throw some snowballs - sweet!

Peachy - where exactly are you? Were you ever considering Caerphilly Birth Centre - if you're close enough? I lived in Cardiff for almost 5 years until 2004 (I was on contract with Welsh National Opera when I left London) and loved living in Wales. Met my DH who was also working at WNO at the time and we got married in a country house in Porthkerry.

egyptianprincess · 06/04/2008 10:00

how exciting PFJ!! Sounds like the real deal- yay!! Looking forward to hearing about your LO soon! Peachy, am very impressed by your cat. Mine attacks my DH ankles all the time- but just because she feels like it! My bit of London is covered in snow too- it's gorgeous but definitely not the weather i had in mind when I was thinking I would have an April baby. Am now worried that the baby stuff I bought isn't warm enough. Ooops.

christmaspixie · 06/04/2008 10:25

Good luck PFJ!! Hope this is the real thing, sounds like it! x x

VictorianSqualor · 06/04/2008 10:33

Good luck PFJ!
We have snow here too, tons of it.
Just hope I don't have to dart down any country roads to the hospital today eh!

bunnyrabbit · 06/04/2008 10:45

Oooh good luck PFJ think birthing thoughts.....

BR

Denny185 · 06/04/2008 10:49

Fingers crossed for you PFJ

V1KK1M · 06/04/2008 11:42

Hi everyone,

I hope your all feeling as good as you can - thought I would give you an update as I am now overdue by 4 days

I had a sweep on Friday, was uncomfortable but not painful. Midwife touched the baby's head with me too(v weird)! I had a bit of spotting on the Fri and have been losing my Mucus plug from yesterday morning but this morning I lost loads (it was gross and you could actually pull it out like a long jelly string - sorry if TMI but I wish someone would have warned me so it might help others).

I'm now waiting for things to get going but if they so not then they will give me another sweep on Tues but the midwife thought my cervix was 1-2cm dilalated on fri and cervix all soft and squishy so hopefully it shouldn't be too long (getting bored now). Does anyone know how much you can be dilalated before your contractions start?

Anyway I will check in again soon and good luck to those who have had those little ones over the weekend.

scorpio1 · 06/04/2008 11:43

still pregnant here, had amazing nights sleep last night

39+2 today.

Peachy · 06/04/2008 13:05

Aussie- we live in Caerleon if you know it? Lovely little place, we're lucky enough to be within the Roman barracks area as well. We didn't consider the birth centre, but only becuase this si the first Welsh baby we've had, and we knew we wanted a HB immediately- had hoped for one with ds3 but couldn't (iron levels) and random power cuts LOL)

EP- don't worry about having too much warm weather stuff, top off with a few cotton cardies and your baby will be much better off than in thick layers of heavy clothing.

Peachy · 06/04/2008 13:06

V1kk1- my Mum didnt have noticeable contractions with my ssiters until she was 8cm - she ahd one sister in the waiting room at the hospital!

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 06/04/2008 14:12

So I am hoping that because we haven't heard anything from PFJ since 8:00am this morning it means she is giving birth! Fingers crossed!

I am STILL full of cold. So blimming fed up. I wish there was someting I could take Couldn't really sleep last night because I was so bunged up and am now starting to feel very sorry for myself.

EllieG · 06/04/2008 15:31

Ooo! Do you reckon PFJ's producing her sproglet? Very exciting.....

I had sex this morning for the first time in 3 weeks! Sorry if TMI but was so pleased as was starting to feel a bit unloved especially as went out for dinner with DSD's family last night and her gran was horrid to me and basically called me fat. DP was fuming when he realised she had upset me and went all sweet and protective, so I was quite chuffed actually.

Having said that, sex was very sore actually - felt like there wasn't really enough room anymore - sorry if TMI again but has anyone else found this?
