Congratulations bunyan ( suddenly 5.5 hours seems awfully sedate)!

So, shall we set up our various offspring for a double-date in... oh, about thirty years when I let DD start dating?

Done.

bunnyrabbit · 03/04/2008 20:40

Thank VS. What a beautiful name

christmaspixie · 03/04/2008 20:44

VS, I can totally understand your feelings about your first LO. I had a traumatic natural labour, followed by dd being in special care for a week. I found it excruciating not being able to hold her during that week, and furious that they gave her formula, all without really telling me what was going on (I felt like a spare part and she didn't feel like my baby at all!). Plus the unknown of whether she would make it and pull through, It's a lot to take after you've just given birth! And it's taken me basically this long to get over what happened. The one saving grace was that I held her for a few hours before they took her away from me, and this enabled me to bond. If only some blardy hospitals would take the bonding between Mum and baby more seriously instead of just following proceedures there might be less PND!! I hope that things go better for you this time. I'm pretty terrified of it all going wrong again for me too- but I'm also hoping I'll have a homebirth and re-claim some of the control/ have a good experience.

christmaspixie · 03/04/2008 20:44

can someone let me know the name too!! [email protected]

christmaspixie · 03/04/2008 20:47

bunyanvillas , Rainbow days huge congrats!!! (Can't keep up, apologies if I've already said congrats!)

ThePFJ · 03/04/2008 21:09

Still no baby.

Am still very zen. (Mostly harhar - when not getting teary)
Hi to all my friends keeping track of me on here now - big hugs to you all xxx

Congrats to bunyanvillas, am so happy for you

AussieDivaOnABreak · 03/04/2008 21:10

OK, I give in! Will someone kindly email me lemonpips name too [smile} - just had horrible few hours having a row with my DH. I spent all day tidying the study that we are supposed to share for our business and he treats it like his own personal den, where he can leave huge piles of washing and completely cover the desk with receipts and papers. He then loses it with me when he comes home because of some minidiscs he had on the desk - I'd put all 5 of them together and he flipped because he didn't know which one was which. Apparently he knew exactly which one was which by their position on the desk - I said if knowing which disc was which bloody disc why didn't he bloody label them??!!!Anyway, I'm calm now, he apologised for over-reacting but seriously, is it too much to ask for someone to be grateful for once?

Moan over. Sorry girls.

ThePFJ · 03/04/2008 21:12

hugs Aussie xxx

jenniejennie · 03/04/2008 21:53

Where is everyone? In bed or having babies?

Saw psychiatrist today, he referred me for anxiety management, which I think means im not mad and not depressed. Yippee! Said he would have given me beta blockers if I wasnt pregnant or planning to BF.

Got a bit lost reading through all the pages and pages on the thread but I think quite a few people having CS today or yesterday, muddled mind cant remember but good luck everyone. I have scan tomorrow to check placenta has moved, plus last day on work thank god!!!!

Peachy · 03/04/2008 21:54

If anyo0ne texts me, can they oinclude the name? Ta

just ahd text from Denny- went into labour naturally, by the time she got to hospital contractions were 2 minutes apart so she had her section as an emergency. All is well, but she cannot access hospital internet.

Sounds like baby was coming then one way or t'other!

Woollymummy · 03/04/2008 22:17

no news here except we are now def expecting a boy, placenta has lifted up off the crvx and my DD is now 21 and a half months.....where did all that time go? hope all the new babies are well, I am fed up with being pg and whale-like, but really enjoying last time of having my daughter to myself. it feels like a little love affair, she is so sweet and funny and adorable, can't believe i will ever be able to love the next one as much!

chipmonkey · 03/04/2008 22:24

bunnyrabbit · 03/04/2008 22:50

Congrats to Sal, also very
(Is 3.3Kg = 7lb 4oz in english?)

chipmonkey · 04/04/2008 00:16

Congratulations, Sal! Any name, Peachy?

aprilfoolsbaby · 04/04/2008 06:11

Hello everyone. I'm in labour yippeeee!!!

Saw a reflexologist last night at 6pm - woke up at 1am this morning and have been having regular contractions since. Have taken paracetamol and phoned the labour ward. They are happy for me to stay at home until I need more pain relief!

Boy contractions hurt way more than I ever thought (don't actually know what I expected!)

Hopefully next time I post I'll have a lovely baby in my arms x

Really recommend reflexology for those who are overcooked!

Peachy · 04/04/2008 07:36

No name in text from Sal.

Congrats AFB- . Hd 2 hours of contractions alst night that were strong enough to leave me bruised on my stomach, then all stopped again.

Not feeling particularly positive about chances of HB now, esp. as boys go back to school Monday which creates a logistical nightmare (Mum can't come here, kids would have to go tehre as she looks afcter my nephew in the day).

Piccalilli2 · 04/04/2008 08:23

Congrats bunyan and Sal and best of luck aprilfoolsbaby!

I am going for a long walk today to try and persuade this baby to make an appearance. I am now fully fed up.

Carey87 · 04/04/2008 08:32

Morning all!

BIG, HUGE, ENORMOUS congratulations to those that have had their lo's!!!

I git theses really strange pains last night, but I dont know if they are contractions , they were sharp pains on the underside of my bump, lasted a few seconds then would go away, return a few minutes later and then stopped for about an hour then came again, like this for about 4 hours, and then nothing! Feel realy light headed and like crap today!

DP went to work without even asking if I'd had anymore pains or if I was feeling ok, and he even went to football practice last night FFS! Just feels as if he is trying to get away as much as possible, really upsetting me atm.

Sorry, rant over !
