Thanks for letting us know CGG!

egyptianprincess · 03/04/2008 11:10

congratulations rainbowdays! what a speedy birth...we should all be so lucky.
I'm so bored bored bored now as the SPD has made me pretty much housebound. Really need this baby to come ASAP.

sagitta · 03/04/2008 11:22

Congrats Denny!!

PortAndLemon · 03/04/2008 11:22

PFJ -- I recommend the Natracare maternity pads, if you can find them near you (I ordered mine online). And they are relatively tree-huggy, too...

sagitta · 03/04/2008 11:23

Does anyone else think these babies all look pretty big?
Must be all the chocolate...

Soph73 · 03/04/2008 11:26

Hello you lot, wow what a lot happened while I was on holiday. Scorpio did I hear that you had a show? I have a friend who´s on the June thread who's been trying to keep me up to date on what's happening here

Soph73 · 03/04/2008 11:27

Oops - sorry about that. Well, I´m still at work and desperately trying to train my replacement - I didn´t realise I actually did so much, don´t feel so guilty about using MN as much as I did

Soph73 · 03/04/2008 11:28

Commiserations to all of us still at work though Can´t wait for Sam to make an appearance as my ankles have started to swell & my back aches all the time. I´m with you egyptian - ASAP would be good

TheMaskedPoster · 03/04/2008 11:46

Congrats Denny!

Wow - these LOs are getting bigger and bigger

Love popping on here to the news of a new arrival!

hope all are well
xxTMPxx

VictorianSqualor · 03/04/2008 11:54

We certainly don't cook 'em small do we?!

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 03/04/2008 11:56

CONGRATULATIONS rainbowdays and Denny!

And to the rest of you that are biting at the bit for your LO's to come, I hope they come soon! I am more than happy to wait another 4 weeks for mine - REALLY don't want an Aries! LOL (Sad I know!)

I've just got back from looking at the nursery school we want to send LO too, and am now about to write them a letter letting them know we want a place there. Fingers crossed we get a place otherwise it is back to square one again!

AussieDivaOnABreak · 03/04/2008 12:06

Scarily big babies! My dd was 8 pounds and a bit after being overdue two weeks (I'm 5 foot), so there's no way I am letting this one go any later than my EDD so I don't have anything resembling 9 or even 10 pounds! Fingers crossed! Having said that, my Italian MIL is 4 foot 10 and she gave birth to her third child who was 12 pounds!!??
-huge grimace and crossing of legs!-
Congrats Denny!!

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 03/04/2008 12:11

Speaking of big babies, my boss is 5ft and weighs 7 stone and gave birth to 3 girls, all 10 pounders! One she gave birth to in the taxi from work to the hospital! Talk about leaving it to the last minute! Baby was caught in her tights!

Sheds75 · 03/04/2008 12:14

congrats Rainbow and Denny
hope you are all well and enjoying your new LO's

Sheds75 · 03/04/2008 12:16

all this talk of big babies is making me cringe I'm now 40+1 and don't fancy having a huge one! am seeing the MW today so will ask about a sweep

scorpio1 · 03/04/2008 12:48

Congrats Rainbowdays and Denny

I'm better today, not very crampy and have left the house today, wahoo!! Bought a bottle of champagne for wetting her head so have everything now, just waiting. Am 39 weeks tomorrow - i had Jamie at 39 weeks exactly, so am just waiting. No more blood loss either.

Ladylush - Hello!! Hoping you are ok? I'm due on the 11th April, a week tomorrow.

scorpio1 · 03/04/2008 12:49

I'm ordering an 8lb baby - not too big and not too small.

AussieDivaOnABreak · 03/04/2008 12:51

M2B2BR...caught in her tights that's priceless, (although I think Branston Hicks still pips it haha) x

Going into double digits is just WRONG ugh. To think I was a mere 6 pounds 6 when I was born, 2 weeks overdue too.

I would definitely ask for a sweep Sheds...when I saw my MW yesterday apparently the official policy at Kingston is sweeps at 41 weeks, but this midwife did one for a friend at 38 weeks and she went into labour 2 hours later! Apparently tho the baby was born covered from head to toe in vernix so with hindsight the MW thinks the woman had her dates wrong and it was an earlier baby, probably more like 36 weeks. So she certainly wouldn't do it again that early.

So I'm having a sweep at 40+1 too - I'd say absolutely go for it...although I don't recall if this is your first?

AussieDivaOnABreak · 03/04/2008 12:53

Just spotted that it is your first Sheds - chances are you are certainly in for a at least a few more days waiting if you wait naturally. She what your MW says.

VictorianSqualor · 03/04/2008 13:14

Oh, you just reminded me I want to call my mw and try to get a sweep for monday.

VictorianSqualor · 03/04/2008 13:27

MW is coming monday afternoon to hopefully get things moving if they havent by then.

scorpio1 · 03/04/2008 13:28

Oh thats good news, VS. I have never had a sweep so i don't know what they are like, but it can't be that bad

AussieDivaOnABreak · 03/04/2008 13:40

They're not bad at all Scorpio, just a little uncomfortable.
