Hey ToastAddict and TLSM, will do. TLSM do you want to let me know your email? I havent got this CAT thing so if I need to do this just say.

Hope no one thinks I am pusing this Baby Whisperer thing too hard! Honestly I can only go from my own experience.

I have an antenatal coffee do this morning (any excuse for more cake) then MW is coming over to mine at 12. Will need to ask her about my trip to Dorset on Friday...if it was baby 1 then I wouldn't hesitate, but baby 2 can come any time now and much quicker (PAL you're a perfect example) and I really don't fancy a home birth at my joint venture partner's house. Or a motorway for that matter! Well let's see what the MW says...

Mollyfloss · 02/04/2008 09:24

Morning all,

Had the usual achy hips, waking every two hours again. I still dream though so that must mean when I do sleep it's deep but the dreams are completely bonkers as usual.

Aussie; Could I have the spreadsheet too please? [email protected]

Sorry it's so frustrating for you PFJ.

Hope Scorpio is well on her way now. She is due only two days before me. After running around preparing everything well in advance I've now told myself that this LO will be late in the hope I won't be twiddling my thumbs too much. I don't mind waiting as long as it's not two weeks late or something like that. Those who have been induced - is it all that bad?

On BF, I have a friend who gave birth and 35.5 weeks and they said at the hospital the baby needed to be topped up with formula. I'm not sure I would have accepted this without a lot of questions but the baby took to the breast & the bottle straight away and she gets one formula feed a day and the rest is breast and has no problems at all. The baby is only 4 weeks old. The formula feed is at night too so her DH can do it. Just show there are no rules although that said I will be trying to breastfeed exclusively and I would be cautious about giving a bottle (expressed or formula) too early just in case the baby got lazy and then didn't want the breast.

Morning, i finally managed to get the pain to stop last night, after sitting down ALOT and having a warm bath, i slept all night and have only just got up. I was so tired! The 3cm is the width the MW can get her fingers in my cervix - notes say soft cervix, uneffaced. Meaning basically its ripe and ready but it needs to thin before it can dilate more.

Today i am slightly crampy and having browny discharge, albeit alot less than yesterday.

I am positive that i will feel like this now until it gets going, but thats fine, i dont need to go out or anything and DH will do housework. MW seemed quite certain that we wouldnt be waiting long....Millie is completley engaged, nothing palpable.

PFJ - are you a first timer? MW said lots of her firsty ladies do this for a few days before it kicks off.....

Yesterday the blood was really scary but she is moving well and HB was great, she wasnt bothered.

northeastmummy · 02/04/2008 09:56

I was a bit nervous of that too Aussie - having a baby in a parking spot at the side of the motorway wasn't my idea of fun! I really worry about the potential speed she could come - I was in labour for 6 hours with DD1 and the midwife at the time warned me to come in quick if I had another one.

I'm relieved to be home and won't be going anywhere now until after the baby is born. If you're at all worried, stay home. Could your colleague not come to you?

Hello aprilfools - I haven't had a look on the March board lately. Has it all gone very quiet? Anyway, you're more than welcome here .

Scorpio/PFJ - enjoy relaxing and encouraging baby along today!

LilRedWG · 02/04/2008 09:56

I was thinking of you last night Scorpio, wondering if Millie had made an appearance yet

scorpio1 · 02/04/2008 09:57

keep wishing for me!

EllieG · 02/04/2008 10:04

Hello all - was quite exciting yesterday by the looks of things!

BEST OF LUCK VIBES to scorpio, PFJ, Rainbowdays and Peachy for today

Hello to aprilfoolsbaby - how annoying to be overcooked - I am 2 weeks away from due date and am v bored and want the baby now!

Thanks for spreadsheet aussiediva - will check email in a mo.

I couldn't MN yesterday cos DP forgot to pay phone bill and we got cut off. HOW embarrassing. I paid it in the evening with much moaning and disgruntled-ness.

TLSM · 02/04/2008 10:24

oh can i have sex do you think? i mean obv i wont if in pain but becuase all show has gone, is it ok?

sagitta · 02/04/2008 10:37

Hello everyone. Feeling very happy today as DH is back, and DD is very happy, and its sunny. And I cancelled a big work trip.

Good luck Rainbowdays, scorpio, PFJ and Peachy - hope it happens soon. (And for you, VS.)

Welcome aprilfooslbaby - I know how you feel too - I was 15 days late with DD, and I'm at the end of April so I'll be in the same situation as you!

Moominsmummy (I think...)- (from ages ago in thread) I was worried about dd's ability to do colours, and found out that my niece couldn't do her colours until she was past three. I think its not uncommon, so I wouldn't worry.

Jenniejennie, hope you are feeling OK today.

sagitta · 02/04/2008 10:39

Wow, scorpio. You still want to have sex? I am so impressed. Or is it just to encourage Millie?

scorpio1 · 02/04/2008 10:40

No, I want to

EllieG · 02/04/2008 10:40

Hats off to scorpio for still being able to think about shagging whilst almost in labour!
I'm still in my pj's. Having a lazy day today.

What did you get carey?

scorpio1 · 02/04/2008 10:41

Have not had sex since Sunday btw. DH wanted to yesterday but i told him to F off, lol!!

scorpio1 · 02/04/2008 10:42

Ellie - I am in big mothercare t-shirt and jogging bottoms today, no make-up etc etc. Am not leaving the house again today for fear of it all starting again like yesterday...i cannot do that agin and need all energy now. Thankfully DC's do not mind being in and play well.

EllieG · 02/04/2008 10:45

I have to go to DSD's school talent show at 1.30 - she is singing a song from High School Musical.
An hour and a half of various children singing and dancing. Badly. Oh joy.

scorpio1 · 02/04/2008 10:46

Ellie.....you WILL enjoy it

EllieG · 02/04/2008 10:49

Oh yes. I will. I definitely will. [Ellie tries to persuade herself that she wouldn't rather be sticking pins in her eyes than listening to umpteen children singing High School Musical songs]

scorpio1 · 02/04/2008 10:51

There was a non uniform day at Reilly's school a few weeks ago and 99.9% of the girls were dressed in leggings and pom-poms....DD will not like such things and neither am i indulging Disney Princess.

scorpio1 · 02/04/2008 10:51

Maybe the refreshments might be good??

Sheds75 · 02/04/2008 10:51

Scorpio, I'm very impressed at your sex drive... I think my DP wishes I was the same

Well It is my Due date and so far nothing , slight pain earlier this morning but nothing else. I've resigned myself to him making an apperance late.

Good luck to all those on the verge of seeing their LO's

scorpio1 · 02/04/2008 10:52

Sheds - i am always like this when pg, and when not pg and not on contraception. Helps that i fancy the pants off DH, lol.

scorpio1 · 02/04/2008 10:53

Also, sheds, you won't be long, the end is in sight
