ernest,
I choose the same name order as Sophie!

makecakesnotwar · 12/04/2008 09:45

Ditto Sophie and G43 on the name front.

Thrilled the sun is shining Ernest. Will be thinking of you as I sip tea at my baby shower in Harrods this afternoon!! I can feel the heartburn already...

Morning all

PiggyPenguin · 12/04/2008 10:17

I chose the same order as Sophie too.

My meal out last night was a bit of a disaster to put it mildly. Oddly the kids got really upset that I was going out and were in tears as I left, then the other half of the party were late getting to the restaurant which was tiny, full, and really hot. Anyway, by 9.30 we still hadn't ordered anything and I was so hot I was starting to feel faint, and in the end I had to go home without eating anything!

I felt like such an idiot, and really guilty for not celebrating my friends birthday with her, but it was either leave ot pass out at the table.

Rolf · 12/04/2008 11:00

Sybil - what a shame about your meal out.

Ernest:
Lawrence
Jonathan
Robert

Jennifer
Adele
Christine

I've given DH a list of 38 names with Possible/No Way/Comments columns, and told him it's his homework . His only name-related comment today has been that he went to school with someone called Butch and thought it was a horrible name . Yes, but we're having a girl and Butch is not on the list anyway .

My sense of smell hasn't come back. DH had been away and when he came back last night told me that there was some bad fish in the fridge and DD stunk - I had no idea

poppy34 · 12/04/2008 11:13

Agree with sophie re tresure hunt idea Ernest - might take some more time when they tire of hide and seek. British bulldog is good but always seemed to produce a large amount of cloth mending when my dss was into it (he may of course just not have been very good at getting caught).

Ernest Agree with girls names but would probably put jonathan at top of boys list - although all three are quite good.

We're currently waivering between two as there seems to be some aversion from dh to calling her paris in reality.

am off for last football game I can get to of the season - have been so rarely this year (its other side of london) that think season ticket will go when paris arrives. She can learn to support from a distance (and she will bes supporting my team -not her fathers!)

bitofadramaqueen · 12/04/2008 11:17

ernest I'd go for Jonathan, Lawrence, Robert and Adele, Jennifer, Christine. Most of those names are easy to shorten though so have you thought about any shortened varieties that you love or hate?

Sorry abour your sense of smell rolf! Mine is really heightened at the mo, so I'm obsessed about washing and opening windows. The colleague I shared an office with wanted to get some curry at lunch the other day and I had to ask her not to. TBH I think its a bit unreasonable to eat something really strong smelling in a small office environment anyway, but maybe that's just me!

Housework and revision for me this weekend . Good luck with the decorating deb.

katyjo · 12/04/2008 12:55

Thanks for the tip Laura, hadn't thought of Issac.

Makecakes - hope you have a ball at your baby shower it sounds lovely.

Ernest - I like Jonathan and Jennifer best, the others are lovely too.

Don't think I'd want Jimmy Saville in delivery suite either...NOW then, Now then Now then, what have we got here!! Although I always wanted a jim'll fix it badge!!

We def have to name our next thread after our mascot Cheggers!

I feel like I've got really big over last couple of days, starting to waddle and really uncomfotable sitting, had forgotten thois stage. Baby is wriggling around this am, don't know if that's the Irn Bru I've just drunk!

SIL got engaged last night, so lovely to have some happy news. Hopefully wedding will be next year so that will give us something to look forward to!

Hope evryone has a lovely weekend.

bitofadramaqueen · 12/04/2008 13:44

congratulations katyjo, what lovely news! Was it a complete surprise? Details please!

bitofadramaqueen · 12/04/2008 13:45

read that too quickly, thought you had got engaged katyjo. . Still lovely news obviously.

debinaustria · 12/04/2008 15:33

I'm so pleased the sun came out for you Ernest, hope it went well.
Names
Jonathan, Lawrence, Robert
Jennifer, Adele, Christine

Makecakes - hope you have a lovely time at your baby shower - Harrods, how posh

Sybil - don't feel bad about the meal, sounded like bad organisation and not the best environment for a pregnant woman!!

Dramaqueen - how's the revision going?

Now I personally think Jimmy Saville could be useful in the delivery suite - "Dear Jimmy, can you fix it for me to have my baby naturally with no pain, and give me a bit of a tummy tuck while you're at it?

What do you think?

I'm still snacking like a pig - anyone else?

sophiewd · 12/04/2008 15:50

snacking in phases, some days I can't stop other days not really hungry. I did weigh myself this morning and have managed to keep gain to 18 pounds, and he is measuring big.

Upsidedowncake · 12/04/2008 17:51

Lawrence, JOnathan, RObert (all utterly gorgeous)
Christine, Jennifer, Christine

Jimmy Savile, euch.

V excited. Started an incentive scheme for DS's potty training yesterday. The moment we started it, he kept on getting holes-in-ones - am so proud - including in the foul public loos at Wimbledon Park. Got one more to go and then he gets to choose something from my bag of crap 1.99 toys. (I think I'm more excited than he is!)

Upsidedowncake · 12/04/2008 18:05

Oh bugger. DS just wet himself just as I was rather boastfully posting.

Poor chap.

bitofadramaqueen · 12/04/2008 18:12

Revision is so-so deb although its not stressing me out (yet). Still snacking loads. Just back from sainsbury's via dvd rental shop so have Elizabeth, chocolate and crips for tonight . No fear that I'll be weighing myself anytime soon. Actually, I didn't know my pre-pg weight so no way of finding out how much I've put on. Phew. Been investigating parking near the local park today for a bit of summer power walking with the pram though!

debinaustria · 12/04/2008 22:40

Oh, your poor ds, Upside down!! How old is he?

I'm glad I'm not the only one snacking!!

Night everyone

ernest · 13/04/2008 07:27

Good morning everyone.

The party, dare I say it, was good - I'd actually go so far as to say I enjoyed myself
. Ds2's best friend called literally half an hour before to say he couldn't come so he was devastated and I was nearly crying too cos I could feel his pain. But we managed to cheer him up and we all had a great time. And it wasn't too hard work and the other boys were all so sweet with ds3, holding his hand when walking along. aw. Some kids brought presents, some didn't, one brought a present for all 3 boys, which I thought was so sweet, ds3 was so delighted (he hadn't invited anyone) so it was all ds3 got, it waas just little, but he was so chuffed to get something, anyway, this boy is clearly not at all well off, poor Kosovan refugees I think, and when ds1 unwrapped his present, it was a football, and clearly this boys old one. But ds1 didn't notice or care and I thought it was so so sweet, given they have so little, that he still brought something for not just ds1 but all 3 boys. A couple of other kids made disparaging comments about the ball, but I thought it was so kind of him. And it was clealry, by far the favourite present.

Aw my hormones!

I'll try to post a couple of pictures.

After they went, I still had to go to the supermarket, so was totally knackered, but had them all bathed and fed and ready in time for doctor Who

And today we're taking all 3 boys to see FC Zürich, so we've got a fab pm ahead of us too. It's so great when dh is home for the weekend. WIll be great in 2 weeks when we're all back together again.

Oh, and thanks for the names input.

All the boys have decided they hate Adele, (my fav, sniff) and dh 3rd fav, so it's out. SO it looks like Christine or Jennifer.

And I don't like Jonathan - every J. I've ever met is called Jon, so why not just bloody call him John in the 1st place (my logic?) And dh has declared Lawrence 'wet'(this was my fav)

SO to summise -

girls - Jennifer or Christine
Boys - Robert or Edward

Can anyone be arsed bothered to re vote?

sophiewd · 13/04/2008 07:56

Morning Ernest, bubbling up here as well reading your last post, glad they all had a great time and you ar having a good weekend, and the end is in sight.

OK my votes go to

Jennifer and Edward

sophiewd · 13/04/2008 07:57

Oh and I would have loved to have seen the look on anybody's face if they had called Lawrence of Arabia wet.

debinaustria · 13/04/2008 08:02

So pleased it went so well, and how sweet of that boy to bring his own football as a present. What a shame your ds2's best friend couldn't come - how disappointing for him.

Hope you have a great time today.

Names - Jennifer or Edward

Last day of skiing here so we're off up the mountain, hoping the restaurant is still open for lunch.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone

sophiewd · 13/04/2008 08:05

Have a lovely time Deb

debinaustria · 13/04/2008 08:06

You up doing Breakfast Sophie? Dh said he'd love bacon and eggs this morning, bacon here is terrible.

How are you feeling with the SPD today?
