I didn't get morning sickness with ds so fingers crossed I wont get it again.

Hi All. Can I tentatively join. Got a BFP on Sunday. Last month I had a very early miscarriage, so am feeling very nervous. Miscarriage started at the beginning of March so I think I would be due about 7th December. It is my birthday tomorrow (ripe old age of 34 so very old compared to some of you!)so will be a much more sober affair now than I had been planning. Have a night out on Sunday and think I will drive so do not have to answer questions about not drinking. Mind you it is extremely out of character for me to drive at my own birthday drinks!

I got another very faint line this morning.
I still feel like my body might be playing tricks on me. But on the other hand I am so excited I could dance!!

I have a very stupid question to ask now. Do I still go to the gp and tell them I am pg or can I just go and make an appointment with the midwife as its my 2nd dc?

Morning kayzisbroody, I went to GP and she referred me to MW for booking in appt next week. But then maybe that is not the best thing to do,I am a first timer and wasn't sure ! Maybe one of the more experienced ladies will be along soon to help

Weeks to check heartbeat,i'll be 7 weeks! Will be good,think i might feel better about telling a few people once ive seen the heartbeat. Did you get a 12wk scan after your 7wk one or did they just skip straight to the 20wk one?

Firstly sorry about split msgs. Secondly kayz ive heard those digital ones need quite a lot of the hormone to work so it may just be too early. When are you due on?

I got 2 positive First Response tests and 1 Ebay cheapie positive but very very faint lines.

Phew...thank goodness were back,i felt like my right arm was missing! Kayz i think if youve got 3 +ve tests its probaly just too early for the digital. Try again in the morning if youve got another. Try not to worry.x

kayz - how stressful for you. I think three faint lines and no AF is a pretty good sign, maybe the digitals require a stronger line as it is a machine that reads it for you. If you pull the stick out of the digital reader can you see a second line?

BSS - you asked about how many scans U had after the 5 and 7 week ones at the EPU. The answer is loads! The NHS still referred me for the 12 weeks scan because that is when they can check dates. But my NHS 12 week scan was a week late (i.e. 13 weeks) and I needed to tell work ASAP so I paid for a private scan at 12 weeks proper. Then I had my 20 week scan. Later I got pre-eclampsia and had yet another scan!

Thanks artichokes i was hoping i'd still get 12wk scan thats great. Well got blood test results and hormone levels have more than doubled so thats really good news. Feel loads more relaxed,cant wait for scan at 7wks to see heartbeat!

There are 2 lines on the digital but that doesnt mean a BFP. See

Hello ladies. May I also tentatively join? Have been watching this thread for a few days, and have finally plucked up enough courage to join. Got my BFP two days ago.

Had a MMC last year, but am thinking positive thoughts for this time round. Anyway according to my dates I should be due 12/12. Fingers crossed!

I was actually prompted into action by your posting Verso, about being told you couldn't have a scan. If you are in London you can go to St George's hospital to the walk in clinic (check the opening hours before you go) and they can do it there for you.

I did another FR and its a BFP so I think that digital one needed a lot more HCG.

The line was a lot darker.

I think that must be it kayz,love the new name by the way! Congrats Bisou!
