Hey Verso, back on another Ante-Natel thread together Smile

I'm aged 25 so old but not that old lol

feel really tired and hormonal today (feel sorry for Lee i got quite stroppy earlier)

mibbes · 07/04/2008 19:52

Thanks ladies for your encouraging words. I remembered this afternoon that have rhesus -ve and DP is +ve and GP had said to look out for any bleeding, so I called hospital and have the number for EPU to call in the morning. Not sure if I'll need anti-D or not but better safe than sorry. Will let you know how I get on.

kayzisexpecting · 07/04/2008 20:38

Hi all,

I am so tired tonight. Ds is playing up and won't go to sleep.

Let us know how you get on with EPU Mibbes

rosmerta · 07/04/2008 20:51

hi all, sorry I haven't been on in a couple of days, everything ok here, just tired & a bit dizzy if I haven't eaten anything.

Hello to all the new people [waves], congratulations, nice to see you here Smile

mibbes really hope everything is ok, I know its hard not to but really try to relax and not stress about it. Let us know how you get on.

I've not heard from the hospital yet even though I went to the GPs a couple of weeks ago, might give them a ring & see what's happening!

kayzisexpecting · 07/04/2008 21:06

Urgh, I have just been sick. I think I have evening sickness.

I hope its a one of.

hiccymapops · 07/04/2008 21:41

Hello everyone Smile

Can i join you on here? I found out on Friday that we're expecting no2 on 11th of December Smile

I hope everyone's feeling okay xxx

hiccymapops · 07/04/2008 21:42

Forgot to say congratulations to everyone Grin

majormoo · 07/04/2008 21:48

bisou would be great if you could add me to the list-thanks

mibbes glad the bleeding has stopped. It is quite common in pregnancy as others have said. I had some when pregnant with my DD and was very scared but it was all OK

toratora-we have v. similar circumstances as I had a miscarriage at the start of March and this would be my DC3.

no symptoms here for me. I hate the early weeks, especially after having the miscarriage last month

majormoo · 07/04/2008 21:49

bisou if all goes well I am due 7th December

LobstersLass · 07/04/2008 22:49

mibbes, I'm so glad the bleeding has stopped. How terrifying for you.

I hope you get some support on Wednesday.

I'm thinking of you.
x

Bisou · 08/04/2008 03:42

Welcome hiccymapops, love the name! You're the first to be due on the 11th Smile

majormoo, I'm so pleased to add you to the list. I had a MC myself last year, and without going into details the whole experience was pretty awful, so I'm feeling the better for being a part of this group and getting such great support for this new start. Here's to a better experience for us this time.

cazcaz as you say a line is a line is a line Smile I did one of those early ones (can't remember brand, but it wasn't FR) and there was zip nada nutthin 2 days before AF was due so it had me worried and waiting two more days to test was agonising!! Then I did a CB digital on the day AF was due and it was positive. Which is weird because I would have thought the early one would have given me some faint indication 2 days earlier because the digital ones are much less sensitive. Have you tried a digital? I know they are a bit more expensive but getting that "pregnant" in clear words is very reassuring, at least it was for me. And as we are the same due date hopefully it would work by now.

Congrats kayz for the first spew!? Or are there other chuckers out there who haven't yet disclosed their spewy glories? Don't be shy, we all want to hear about it... Grin

Morning.

Its nice to see the thread filling up! Welcome to all the new people.

I feel fine this morning, so maybe I am getting evening sickness. I'd rather have evening sickness because I won't be sick at work.

BrightShinySun · 08/04/2008 07:43

bcsnowpea · 08/04/2008 09:16

Wow, this thread's really growing! Welcome and congratulations to all new ladies!

Well, as with ds, the tiredness has hit. I have this constant fatigue now, and a general queasiness. Good fun Smile

Hope I can be strong and push through this, I have so much work to do [scared face].

cococat · 08/04/2008 10:12

Hiya

Am still here - no symptoms yet although did get randomly upset yesterday evening so maybe that was a bit hormonal? Anyway I wanted to ask Kayz about your scan that you have booked - we have the same due date but I am not going for the booking in appt with the midwife until 20 May. Will have scan some time after that. Which does seem like ages . . . . Is that normal?

Sorry if that is a really basic q but I am new to all of this!

artichokes · 08/04/2008 10:27

Cococat - your booking in system is more like mine. Here (West London) you tell your GP, he refers to a midwife a tthe hospital, you see that midwife at about 12 weeks and at the same time get a scan. Between the GP and the 12 week appoitnemnt you don't see anyone, which is rather disconcerting as the GP doesnt check at thing! I think it really varies from area to area. Many areas don't even offer a 12 week scan.

majormoo · 08/04/2008 10:28

morning all. Cococat I think it is quite usual to have your booking in at 12 weeks which I guess would be about mid May.When I had my DS I had a chat with midwife at 8 weeks, then booking in and scan at 12 weeks. My sister is pregnant at the moment and lives in a different county and I think she did not see midwife til 12 weeks, but saw her nurse at 8 weeks- so it differs depending on where you live. She also paid privately for her nuchal as it was not available on the NHS, whereas mine was free.

Oh I feel jealous of the morning/evening sickness. Mad I know.

kayzisexpecting · 08/04/2008 10:51

I havent got a scan booked Cococat. I wont have it booked for about 7 weeks as they send a letter out a week before the scan.

I have my booking appointment next week but I dont know why as you are meant to at 8 weeks and I'll only be 5 and a half.

cococat · 08/04/2008 10:55

Oh thanks - I guess its like you say artichokes that it seems odd - you pee on your stick. It says yes. You tell your GP and they say congrats and then the only other thing they say or do is come back and see the midwife in 6 weeks!

Nothing to do in the meantime but wait. I suppose I am realising that is is going to be pretty much impossible to keep this pregnancy from our friends until after a 12 week scan. Our social lives are based on eating and drinking out with most of our friends and once one friend finds out they will all know - obviously I am not drinking now! I would quite like a scan or some kind of reassurance before people find out. I have a salary review mid may and really don't want my work to find out before then as I suspect it would adversely affect the result and some of my friends and colleagues overlap etc

Still I supposed even if I had an early scan and it was fine, there are no guarantees - fingers and toes crossed for us all!

nandos · 08/04/2008 10:58

Welcome hiccymapops and congratulations! Grin
Cococat, my 1st appt with m/wife is also around the 11-12 week, which is in 1st week of May. It is a very long wait but theres nothing we can do unless we opt for a private scan etc.
Majomoo, how much does your sis have to pay for the nuchal scan? I dont know if the hospital near mine is free or not so in case its not free, i know roughly how much it would cost Wink

hiccymapops · 08/04/2008 10:58

Hello everyone Smile

It's lovely to be able to talk to other people in the same situation, and see how everyone's doing. I wish i'd known about mumsnet with my first one! Smile

Cococat it's perfectly normal as everyone else has said. With my first i saw the midwife at about 10 weeks, and had my scan a few weeks after that.

Well i think i'm having evening sickness too. I haven't actually been sick, but definately feeling it for a couple of hours the past few days. My hubby's claiming to have it too! Hmm he'll do anything for sympathy Grin

Hope everyone's okay xxx

hiccymapops · 08/04/2008 10:59
