Oh mibbes try not to worry. I know theres lots of people on MN who have bleed in early pg and gone on to have healthy pg. I think itd b a good idea to contact your EPU i found them really helpful and sympathetic. Good luck.x

hattyyellow · 07/04/2008 13:56

Mibbes everything xd for you - I had a small bit of bleeding in my first trimester and it was all fine.

I rang the Gp and he checked me over which was reassuring and it seemed to all calm down.

Really really hope it all turns out okay.

(Sorry for hijack ladies, not pregnant but can't help noticing this one on active convos as would dearly love to be in the december antenatal club!)

mibbes · 07/04/2008 14:23

I rang GP first and was referred to A&E where they told me that if bleed continued they'd organise a scan.
Have no pain and bleeding has stopped so feeling less upset now. Felt really queasy for an hour then was really sick but not sure if it was ms or worry. If it hadn't been for this bloomin' bleed I'd have been delighted with my first ms spew Hmm. I have MW booking in appt on Wed so if nothing else untoward happens will mention it then and ask for a scan.
cazcaz I did a lloyds test the day I got BFP with CB and it was a very faint line (was exactly the same wee as I double-tested !). The CB was a def BFP but Lloyds a pathetic faint line, so much so that DP insisted I take more tests to make sure. I'd definitely get a better test and test with FMU (or hold wee for 4+hours).
Thanks for popping in hatty hope you join this thread soon hun xx

kayzisexpecting · 07/04/2008 14:35

I'm glad you are feeling a bit better Mibbes Hopefully it was nothing. X

fishnchips · 07/04/2008 14:53

Thanks for the welcome!

Mibbes, poor you. Hope the bleeding has continued to stop (IYSWIM). I think the ms spew is def a good sign though!

Bought my first Preg magazine today - mainly cos it had lots of vouchers for maternity clothes inside: 20% off H&M mama range - (which is a great place for cheap maternity basics), 20% off Crave and wondermummy (don't know anything about these) and 15% off Blooming Marvellous (also good, slightly more expensive) and 15% off Isabella Oliver (very lovely but pricey). The mag was Pregnancy and Birth, May, in case anyone wants to get the vouchers! LOVING the idea of essential clothes shopping expeditions soonish...Grin

What was strange was the checkout lady, as I was paying for the mag, asked me when I was due. She was just being nice but I was all flustered, seeing as we haven't told anyone yet, and it doesn't seem right that the first person we tell is some random lady in sainsburys!! Grin

toratora · 07/04/2008 14:54

Hello Ladies,

I am very tentatively going to join you if that is OK? I think I am due in Dec - I had a mc at the end of Feb and have not had a period yet so I have no idea how far along I am. I had a very faint line about 10 days ago, which has got stronger with repeated testing Grin. I don't really have any symptoms though - feel a bit nauseous mid morning most days and very tired.

Finding it very hard to relax and enjoy it after the MC - this will, hopefully be my third dc.
x

BrightShinySun · 07/04/2008 15:08

Congrats toratora and glad your feeling a bit better mibbes fingers crossed for you. Fishnchips i told 2 random women in the docs surgery the other day after getting into a discussion about a graco double buggy!

kayzisexpecting · 07/04/2008 15:10

Welcome toratora

We think we're going to tell people at the weekend as I want people to know. Especially as I do lots of heavy lifting at work.

mibbes · 07/04/2008 15:14

I bought that mag too fishnchips (it had free nappies which I stuffed in a drawer Shock !!). The vouchers have a time limit though, one actually only valid until end April and it is the May issue of the magazine !! Good excuse to start shopping early though I suppose !

kayzisexpecting · 07/04/2008 15:16

I have got it too. I have already ordered some maternity clothes as I have been told about people showing at about 6 weeks with their 2nd so I wanted to be prepared.

BrightShinySun · 07/04/2008 15:48

Kayz im thinking maybe we could start telling a few more people if my scan goes ok next thur. Once ive seen the heartbeat i'll be much more relaxed and im dying to tell my brothers and sisters!

kayzisexpecting · 07/04/2008 15:51

Me too. My due date is my brothers birthday so he'll be so happy

BrightShinySun · 07/04/2008 16:06

Ah that will be nice for him, theres no dec birthdays in my family at all. Hoping this one isnt too late as it'll be easier if its birthday is a couple of weeks apart from xmas! dd was only 4 days late so hoping for similar!

kayzisexpecting · 07/04/2008 16:11

Ds was 2 days late. My brothers fiancee's birthday is the day before my brothers so we'll have a busy week that week if lo is on time.

Right I am off to my GP appointment. I feel really nervous. Don't know why I have done it all before.

Anonymousse1 · 07/04/2008 16:16

too soon you sound like me. there will be 8 years between my eldest and youngest

Bisou · 07/04/2008 16:20

mibbes sorry you've had a scare Sad

Hopefully it's a little comforting for you though to hear that this can be a normal thing in a normal pregnancy. My mother is a midwife and she says she's heard of it happening before in pregnancies that are fine & go full term. The main thing of course is that it's stopped for the time being, so I think it's a perfect time put your feet up and get a little TLC from those around you!

Welcome to all the lovely new ladies, I love that our list is growing bigger! Just like our beanies hopefully Grin

I've been thinking about how fast I'm going to show, as I've got a bit of a pot belly normally - it just seems to be where my weight goes. Perhaps I'll be shopping for maternity wear earlier than I'd like to!

I've already started putting cocoa butter on my ( . )( . ) too, as I've already got some stretch marks on them from last time I was preggers. It probably won't do much, but at least they'll smell nice!

BrightShinySun · 07/04/2008 16:52

Ha bisou you sound like me! Ive got a pot belly too! Was also thinking about when id start to show, sure ive filled out a bit under my normal belly! Gonna start with the coco butter soon,my belly got stretch marks last time so am going for damage control!

Bisou · 07/04/2008 17:00

kayz, just sticking Modernlove and ChutneyMary back on the list Smile Also went back to check, and Flumpybumpy did ask to be added, so how could I resist?! Grin

kayzisexpecting · 07/04/2008 18:15

Hello,

Gp appointment was fine, got my booking appointment next Wednesday at 2. Really excited.

Also I am at my mums and I have told her. I got her 2 bunches of flowers 1 from ds and 1 from the new baby.

majormoo · 07/04/2008 19:04

Hi All. Have not been on for a few days as was dragging my birthday celebrations out to three days! Have not had a chance to read everything as there are so many posts so will try to read them now.

cazcaz · 07/04/2008 19:40

Hello everyone, Mibbes I'm so glad your bleeding has stopped, lets hope it stays that way for you.

Just did another FR test and there is def a line although still fairly faint. Silly really, I think that I only did another test so I can see the line getting darkerBlush.

Anyway have had a stern chat with myself and won't do it again, after all a line is a line!Grin

It's lovely that so many of us are on here!

Verso · 07/04/2008 19:42

mibbes - I had a slight bleed with DD around 7/8 weeks and had a scan at the EPU and saw that everything was fine. I hope you can get in to have a scan, just to reassure you. I'm thinking of you.

On a different note, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one on here over 35! Woohoo! Grin

No news here except I got really weepy after work today... tiredness and hormones in all probability, but I'd convinced myself the (faint) symptoms I've had had stopped Sad. I am sure everything's fine, but I'm really nervous this time round.

Verso · 07/04/2008 19:44

Just posted but had missed a page out, sorry! Glad the bleeding is stopping, mibbes!
