Ds was 2 days late. I was fed up of having people telling me that I would have him early.

Anonymousse1 · 06/04/2008 21:38

i don't want to go overdue. this one will be over 9lb if it's like the others

poisondwarf · 06/04/2008 21:38

Welcome and congrats fishnchips

kayzisexpecting · 06/04/2008 21:41

That wont be nice Anonymousse. I read in the paper the other week about this woman in Mexico or somewhere giving birth naturally to a 16lb baby.Shock

cococat · 06/04/2008 22:12

Thanks for the birthday wishes and the welcome Smile

toosoontotell · 07/04/2008 05:55

Good morning. Could I be added to your list please? I've estimated my due date to be 14th Dec and it is most definitely not my first dc Wink. I don't want to give too much away at the moment as there are people on Mumsnet who know me in RL Smile. I am rapidly nearing 40 Shock and if all goes well there will be more than 10 years between my oldest and youngest!

cazcaz · 07/04/2008 06:20

Congratulations toosoontotell!

How exciting! Grin. Will you be revealing your real self after the twelve weeks have passed?

cococat - Hope you have a happy birthday today. X

ChutneyMary · 07/04/2008 06:31

Welcome toosoontotell from another old dear. I am 38, though feel 68 today. This will be no 3 for me. Do you have more than 3 (don't say if you don't want to)? You'll have lots of help with the baby from the older ones.

I usually get up at 6.15 for work and can't shake the habit. Most annoying.

BrightShinySun · 07/04/2008 07:29

Morning all! Congrats to all the new bfps! Its so nice having some people in the same boat am dying to tell people and also wondering if any of my friends are aswell but also not yet telling which is what happened last time! Hope we're all ok today.x

kayzisexpecting · 07/04/2008 08:30

Hi fishnchips congrats again and welcome to the thread. TBH 8 months seems really soon to me ! I have a lot to learn in 8 months Grin
Anon I am hoping by xmas day will have a glass of bubbly in my hand and grandparents will be nusing the wee one ! But then as a first timer I am probably being blissfully niave !
Welcome cococat and congrats - Happy Birthday Grin
Yeay TSTT another 2ww thread graduate ! Welcome hun xx
Ooh kayz you'll have to give us novices top tips about best places to buy mat clothes and what to look for Wink Like you say 'shopping yeay!'
BSS IKWYM I am dying for other people to announce they are PG so I can have mat leave buddies ! DP and I both have a teeny suspicion that his sister may be...(or at least ttc) I want to make my announcement first though ! Then she can get PG and we can do all the fun stuff together (like shopping)! My other SIL is almost 20 weeks but it is her third so she is super-practised ! Mind you she'll make a fab mentor Smile
The list is getting really long now - how exciting ! It is getting difficult to keep up !

chubbymummy · 07/04/2008 09:17

Desperatly hoping to join you all on this thread but no sign of bfp!!! If I am pregnant my due date would be about 12th Dec. Tested twice on Saturday and twice yesterday but all negative. I was using first response so it should have shown up by now if all the bd has worked (especially as TheMuppetMuggle is due on the 18th). Really thought I was pregnant this month but having slight cramps now so it looks like I'll have to keeep trying. Damn I'll end up fat and pregnant over Christmas and New Year!!!(unless I'm really unlucky and don't manage to concieve by then.Sad)

Nolda · 07/04/2008 09:24

Hi everyone, may I join in? I've been watching this thread for a while but haven't had the courage to speak up (don't want to jinx it). I'm due on 8/12 so special hi to PoisonDwarf Smile. This will be DC#2 for me, DD is 21 months. I'm glad to see that there are some older mums. I'm 38 but will be 39 when DC#2 is born.

toosoontotell · 07/04/2008 09:27

Thanks for the welcome! I will be revealing my true self in due course Wink.

I'll have to shop for maternity clothes too as I got rid of everything (wasn't planning on any more dc's!),plus I've got 2 weddings to go to in the summer. Luckily they're opposite ends of the country and on consecutive weekends so I should be able to get away with the same outfit! Smile

mibbes · 07/04/2008 10:59

Bad news, have had some blood Sad. Just went to the loo after last post and there was fresh blood Sad. Am so scared. A&E has said that I should just use a pad and see what happens Shock. Have come home from work (blubbing at my desk was not a good look and I'd never have done a stroke of work anyway). Bleed seems to have stopped for now and no pain... this is rubbish. Has anyone had similar in previous PGs ? I know that bright red blood is not a good sign Sad

kayzisexpecting · 07/04/2008 11:14

You can have an implantation bleed. Which happens between 4-7 weeks according to my book. I think A&E are being stupid really. I do think if there is no pain it is ok. Can you ring your gp or NHS Direct?

nandos · 07/04/2008 11:29

Mibbes- is there loads of it or just a little?
I hope its really nothing serious and also u said that the bleeding already stopped so in a way its a good thing.
do find out from your GP and try to get a scan done if you are very worried abt beany..

kayzisexpecting · 07/04/2008 11:34

I really really hope you are ok!!!

bcsnowpea · 07/04/2008 12:14

mibbes- I'm sorry, I don't have any advice, but I wanted to say that my thoughts are with you, and try to relax. I'm sure everything is fine, just try not too stress your body too much.

artichokes · 07/04/2008 12:34

Mibbles - does you hospital have an early pregnancy unit? If so I would call them and beg for an early internal scan. You should be about 6.5 weeks so they should be able to see the baby in the womb although it might be a teensy bit early for a heartbeat.

I hope everything is OK. Thinking of you.

cazcaz · 07/04/2008 13:27

mibbes - hope you are okay? Bleeding in early pregnancy is often more common than we realise. I had bleeding quite early on with DS2 and had to have a scan at about six weeks to confirm the pregnancy. It's such a horrible waiting game.

Well I did another test today (not early morning wee) and it was so faint I could hardly see it. My first test that I did on Sat was first response and although fairly faint it was an obvious positive, am now worried that something has gone wrong as have had cramps over the last couple of days. None today though.

I would have just thought that three days late with AF would have shown up a very obvious positive! Trying to sort my head out so that if it is not a pregnancy that I won't be too upset.Sad

artichokes · 07/04/2008 13:34

CazCaz - what brand was this morning's test? I did two this weekend (just to confirm the three last week Blush). On Sat am I did an internet cheapie which was very faint, on Sunday I did a FR which came up with a very strong second line. Some brands never seem to show strong positives.

Also if it was not FMU and you had drunk quite a bit before then you may have had very dilute week.

How are you doing Mibbles? hope you are OK.

cazcaz · 07/04/2008 13:38

It was a Lloyds pharmacy own brand. Just feel really deflated. Think I'll buy another first response for tomorrow morning and see what happens. Thanks for reply.

I really hope you are okay mibbes and, please take care.
