PFJ - tell him if he doesn't like you moving around at night to buy you a new superking size bed - we just got one and is fab - I used to be woken all the time by DH's leg spasms (he would sleep through them) but now don't even notice them - besides which retail therapy is v good for pregnany ladies

moominsmummy · 20/03/2008 18:05

or pregnant ladies even

ThePFJ · 20/03/2008 18:10

Don't tempt me moomin... Littlewoods catalogue is only a room away.....

ThePFJ · 20/03/2008 18:11

I suppose I could just.. 'look'.. at the catalogue.

scorpio1 · 20/03/2008 18:13

PFJ- agree with VS. give him something that weighs 2 stone, and tell him to get on with it night and day. Maybe he is a little worried about you and its coming out wrong?

Mum is about 20 miles away from Nan now; No more news. DH has gone now too.

VictorianPASqualor · 20/03/2008 18:17

Or failing the new bed, tell him to get a mattress and put it on the floor. He can sleep there like the child he is behaving like.

moominsmummy · 20/03/2008 18:22

LOL at vs's intolerance

PFJ - I have an inflatable Thomas the Tank engine bed your DP could borrow (might be a bit small tho )

scorpio1 · 20/03/2008 18:24

or, if he prefers, Spiderman one here!!

VS-have you got PMT? Thats how i describe how i feel this last few days!

VictorianPASqualor · 20/03/2008 18:31

Definitley Scorpio, I feel like I'm due on
Am stropping to immense proportions, back ache, stomach cramps and really tearful.
Maybe I should come sort him out for you PFJ, DP is trying not to breathe too noisily atm

Piccalilli2 · 20/03/2008 18:32

Scorpio, so sorry about your Nan.

PFJ, whenever my dh is being less than supportive I very calmly tell him that when he's been 8 months pregnant he can complain but in the meantime he can shut the f*ck up.

scorpio1 · 20/03/2008 18:34

lol VS, sounds like we are the same!

My milk is coming in more and im getting BH about 5 times an hour at the moment. Think also because i am worried its not helping much.

DH is doing lots for me and doing everything i say - think he is too scared!!!

moominsmummy · 20/03/2008 18:44

My DH is being a bit stroppy too but unfortunately I still have to run around after him at the mo - he has bronchitis which has made his MS worse so can't really do much at all - can get to the loo by himself but I have to take him meals in bed etc. Feels a bit lonely sometimes as he feels too rubbish to get at all involved in baby's arrival preparations -

scorpio1 · 20/03/2008 18:55

sounds tough for all of you.

bunnyrabbit · 20/03/2008 21:24

Hi all,
Has no one postd for ages or am I looking at the wrong thread again?

BR

scorpio1 · 20/03/2008 21:24

no-one posted for a while, lol!

bunnyrabbit · 20/03/2008 21:34

Sorry your DP is bing an arsehole PFJ. I agree that you should tell him to grow up. Cheek of it, your cries of pain kept him awake Diddums. Ask him to stick a knitting needle up his jacksy and see how well he sleeps.

VS with you on the not taking any shit from anyone front!

to hear about your Nan Scorpio. News like this is never welcome but it's the last thing you need at this time.

FYI I have a virus and am on Antibiotics. I feel like shit. Nose blocked sore/red raw throat cough etc.. baby is so deeply engaged now that if I sneeze, cough or blow my nose it feels like he's head butting my undercarriage.

Ruined my last day at work. LO is moving so much, which is good, but it's damn painful.

Anyway.. whinge over. DH has been out after work tonight and shold be home in 30 mins... so I can off load on him!!

BR

bunnyrabbit · 20/03/2008 21:42

Sorry scorpio... crap mood at the mo.

My made me lovely gefilte fish balls and I couldn;t even taste them

bunnyrabbit · 20/03/2008 21:43

Any more news on your Nan??

scorpio1 · 20/03/2008 21:44

No, has been all quiet from Mum since 6.30pm. I don't want her to have to think about us though, iyswim? am taking phones to bed later.

bunnyrabbit · 20/03/2008 21:47

Silly thing to say I know, but try not to get to stressed.... have a bath and try not to get wound up.

Here have some jelly belly beans.

scorpio1 · 20/03/2008 21:47

have had a bath and am not worrying too much - there is nothing i can do.

Hi all - first time on this thread since I got pregnant 35.5 weeks ago! ...

Finished work today - taking 4 weeks leave before mat leave kicks in. What a relief - can concentrate on getting ready now.

scorpio1 · 20/03/2008 22:18

Hi munchkinmum

Nan is ok, sitting up and sipping water. She is on many drips and stuff apparently. Dad will update tomorrow.
