Mollyfloss · 21/03/2008 16:38

Peachy, tell us what you downloaded. I just banished DH to the other room, put on Madonna full blas ('Hung up' and 'Sorry') and am dancing around and swinging my hips as well as well as an 8 month preggers woman can, much to to the worry of my DH

northeastmummy · 21/03/2008 16:42

Oh I LOVE having a good dance to myself! I'm just trying to while away my last half an hour at work. It's very dull. Not back until January though .

Scorpio - Knitter was breach wasn't she? I think she might have had a date scheduled for her section but I can't remember. Anyway, sounds like it all happened in a bit of a hurry in the end!

scorpio1 · 21/03/2008 16:44

oh Peachy, we were there first!! It's only my Mum and us here; the rest of us are in/around Newport

Yes knitter was breech IIRC

northeastmummy · 21/03/2008 16:45

That's it - I'm out of here! As of tomorrow I'll be posting from home ... yay!!!

VictorianPASqualor · 21/03/2008 16:50

I have dl'd some beautiful south, prince and R'Kelly's 12play, think the words on that one may be a bit too rude for during labour though

VictorianPASqualor · 21/03/2008 16:52

Knitter was breech yes, I don't think she ahd a date I assume when her waters broke they said they'd have to CS.

chipmonkey · 21/03/2008 16:53

northeastmummy I'll be working till 19th april!

Mollyfloss · 21/03/2008 16:55

'Isn't she lovely' by Stevie Wonder could be nice for anyone expecting a girl

scorpio1 · 21/03/2008 16:55

RKelly, lol. He drives me mad for some reason!!

MF: Good idea

VictorianPASqualor · 21/03/2008 16:58

scorpio1 · 21/03/2008 17:03

rainbowdays · 21/03/2008 17:34

I had an interesting 24 hours. Went for routine antenatal appt, nothing unusual. Went to supermarket afterwards and barely made it back to car as strong painful contractions stopping me moving too far too fast. Realised driving home was not an option, hospital only a few hundred metres away so drove back to hospital and sat in reception area wondering what to do other than rest and hope the contractions would reduce. After an hour walked upto maternity/labour ward. They told me to go get hospital notes from admission and to return to get checked.

When an hour later they managed to get to see me, I was having contractions every five minutes - almost off the scale on the CTG, examined - baby 3/5 engaged and 2cm (was less than 1cm 3 weeks previously). So was admitted to see how things progressed. Continued for a few more hours of really strong take breath away contractions with pressure and period type pain. Then all started to slow down again...... arggggg. This morning contractions 15 to 20 mins apart and examined again, baby now out of pelvis floating high and completely closed cervix...... , all the pain had done nothing but move the baby the wrong way!!!!!!!!

Oh well looks like I have a few more days of contractions to go yet.

Big congrats Knitter on your little son

Mollyfloss · 21/03/2008 18:00

Rainbow, you must have thought you were going to come home with the baby! Still, it's for the best would have been a little early... Did they keep you in there all night?

ThePFJ · 21/03/2008 18:35

Oh Rainbow.. how frustrating! -offers you cake- I really thought we'd have baby number 4 there reading that!

I have just noticed its a full moon (check the very top right of this page) which may account for why I have urges to rip DP's nipples off. Poor chap.
I have been VERY VERY irritable today, and have gone into overdrive cleaning again.
Managed to settle myself down with a nice warm bath an hour ago and then a sit down to catch up on your posts.
I have had a couple of painful contractions today and I can't really walk anywhere which is why I had to try to slow myself down.

I really need baby to turn up soon!
This IS driving me MAD.

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 21/03/2008 18:51

Sal22 · 21/03/2008 18:53
