New thread!!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
scorpio1 · 26/03/2008 12:23

lol, you and me both Ellie.

Peachy · 26/03/2008 13:04

Welcome Peach , if your posting name is based on your RL name there's a mass takeover planned soon then

Another cleaning binge today- surely this is leading somewhere LOL? I reckon dh is putting aspirin in my tea (aspirin delays the onset of labour) to get max cleaning duty out of me, normally i'm rubbish at that side of things!

ThePFJ · 26/03/2008 13:13

Ellie I have been having period pains for WEEKS now. Am first in the queue for the hospital.. or we can squeeze through the door together at the same time if you like!

Peach, welcome! Tell us when you are due, and where you are from etc? Do you have any more babies already etc? We would love to hear about it.

scorpio1 · 26/03/2008 13:14

NO!! its my turn next, surely, please??

northeastmummy · 26/03/2008 13:16

Hello Peach - it's never too late to join. Looking forward to hearing your news.

OMG - I just saw this guy on Loose Women. Have you heard of him? He's yummy, and an amazing violinist ... but kind of rock/surf type look. An intriguing combination!

Peachy · 26/03/2008 13:16

No its definitely mine just absed on the fact that ahem

I am actually due now.

So all you queue jumpers can wait your blardy turn

ThePFJ · 26/03/2008 13:18

Well.. race ya! -runs towards door but trips up over old lady with cane-

I dream every night I am in labout and when I get to the hospital its dark inside and almost no one is there to see me. Strange things happen and its all just.. weird.
These dreams are driving me nuts, so I hope for my sake I am either next or SOON.
-laughs-

Poor me. Whinge. Whine. Etc.

scorpio1 · 26/03/2008 13:19

Peachy - is yours engaged? Millie is free now, was 3/5ths. ideas?

VictorianSqualor · 26/03/2008 13:28

I think that considering the alternative to me not being next I should be allowed to queue jump.

scorpio1 · 26/03/2008 13:29

Well I'm having a week Saturday, you can have all the other days VS

You ok? Seem

christmaspixie · 26/03/2008 13:30

Yeah Scorpio, really unfair isn't it!! Mine was 2/5ths engaged over a week ago, and in perfect position, I was feeling all labour-y...then she popped out and is now back to back, and I don't think engaged at all! But I guess that's the way with subsequent babies?

EllieG · 26/03/2008 13:31

I suppose peachy can go first [said very grudgingly]

I am feeling very sorry for myself today - have a stinking cold, have nothing to do, am v bored , and to top it all when mopping my kitchen floor I fell over on my arse. And there was no one in the house to moan at about it. [Pathetically attention-seeking emoticon]
Fortunately I am fine cos my arse is somewhat well padded these days, but that's not the point.

scorpio1 · 26/03/2008 13:32

i don't know CP, has never happened to me before. Millie isn't back to back though, just up iyswim? she did say is ok though...

scorpio1 · 26/03/2008 13:32

Oh Ellie its pants isn't it? Can you meet up with someone? Go shopping?

VictorianSqualor · 26/03/2008 13:32

I'm fine, really don't want this CS but want my baby to die even less so will just have to hope it wants to come out sooner!
I'm going to try and find a reflexogist to get things moving by next week if nothing has happened.

I keep waking up in the night thinking it's happening because of pains and stuff then wake up every morning like 'nope, not yet!'

EllieG · 26/03/2008 13:33

Elliebean is back to back. But at least is head down so something to be thankful for.

scorpio1 · 26/03/2008 13:35

sounds like a plan, VS. we do something at yoga from 37 weeks called 'the big rush', something to do with your little toe. Will get more info tonight for you. Every little thing, i guess.

EllieG · 26/03/2008 13:35

Thanks scorpio, but am not really deserving of that much pity am just being oh-poor-me I have a cold woe-ish today. Think will have a sleep in a bit. Which is much better than still being at work.

VS - have heard that acupuncture is really good for speeding things up when due, might be worth a try.

PortAndLemon · 26/03/2008 13:35

I had several contractions yesterday evening, but nothing at all regular and they went away again. My MysticLemon prediction for this baby is 8 April, based on the fact that that's the one day I don't yet have a contingency childcare plan for.

[sympathetic about arse emoticon] for Ellie...

scorpio1 · 26/03/2008 13:38

Next MW appt two weeks today, will be 39+5 then....SO hoping i will not be there. Have never been that pg before.

I feel sorry for myself today too.

PortAndLemon · 26/03/2008 13:40

What about these people, VS?

EllieG · 26/03/2008 13:45

Let's all have a nice cuppa and some cake. 'Tis about that time and will make us feel better. [Ellie puts the kettle on and gets some scones out on a plate]

Mine will come in easter hols meaning that DP will not be able to spend time with me and baby during paternity leave but will be looking after DSD, who will want to spend all her time poking the baby to make it wake up and play with her. Is bound to happen.

How come you don't get another appt for 2 weeks scorpio? I get them every week from 36 weeks and see consultant in week 39 too. Not that you actually see the consultant, you see an ickle doctor who ums and ahhs and knows considerably less than the MW, and is clearly relieved when you tell them you are fine and don't ask any questions.

scorpio1 · 26/03/2008 13:47

I'm a second or subsequent baby, Ellie. and my BP is staying lovely and low so i don't need any extra checks.

Will be sod's law about easter hols. What fun.

VictorianSqualor · 26/03/2008 13:52

Thanks for that PAL, I've emailed them, they actually work in league with my hospital so I might mention it to my cons to see what they say.
She actually thinks it would be better for me to go into labour naturally just can't medically induce me.

PortAndLemon · 26/03/2008 13:53

Oh Lord, yes... the doctor I saw at 36 weeks was pretty darn clueless. I have been Bad and more-or-less skipped having a 38 week appointment (my midwife is on leave, so should have gone to nurse midwife at GP's surgery, but she only does Mondays and Tuesdays -- last week I was away, this Monday was a bank holiday and this Tuesday I went to visit my mother in hospital instead. But even in theory I only get them every 2 weeks (so 36 weeks, 38 weeks, 40 weeks) until I go overdue. You are clearly Special, Ellie...
