Well Done TMP!!! Gosh, it's all starting to happen now, people are popping all over the place!! Hee hee, bets on who's next????

VictorianPASqualor · 25/03/2008 16:25

Congrats TMP.
I got my CS date today If baby isn't out by 9th april I'll be having it then, so it's my due date.
I suppose at least I have two weeks to try getting it out before then but after the risks they told me today wrt stillbirth I'm not willing to risk going any further with the pregnancy.
I'm only 4/5ths palpable as well

Sal22 · 25/03/2008 16:28

Congratulations, TMP!!!

Piccalilli2 · 25/03/2008 16:38

Congrats TMP! Wow, babies popping out all over the place. VS, I'm 38+1 and only 4/5ths as well, I'm booked for a sweep on 9 April to see if I can avoid being induced again this time.

Peachy · 25/03/2008 16:46

congrats TMP

For a subsequrent baby you wouldn't normally be any mroe enaged than 4/5, so don't stress yourselves about that- subsequent babies don't usually enageg, and if they do they just pop out again anyway.

Sheds75 · 25/03/2008 16:47

HUGE congrats TMP

VictorianPASqualor · 25/03/2008 16:49

Peachy, the rhubarb didn't work

ThePFJ · 25/03/2008 16:49

Wow! Congrats TMP. Am so teary and happy for you!

bunyanvillas · 25/03/2008 16:55

Woo ha! Congratulations, TMP!! It's all getting very exciting on here

Peachy · 25/03/2008 16:58

Ah well VS- maybe he's (or she's) not ready to come yet?

April 9th still a fair bit away you know!

Apparently accorsding to mother it needs to be sour enough to give you the runs (yuck!).

I can't get anything to work either though, and I'm either sue Friday or Sunday depending on which scan date, so.....

jaq39 · 25/03/2008 16:58

Congratulations, TMP

Mollyfloss · 25/03/2008 16:59

congrats tmp! Great news!

I'm between 3/5 & 2/5 engaged. Due on apr 13th. But in no hurry now as doc is away from 3rd to 9th and I would rather her deliver than her partner, I'm so used to her now. Anyway she said I could go as late as 27th or early, who knows! also need time to work on these nurseries. Just checked out one which only takes kids from 3 but it is already booked up tip 2010!

vacaloca · 25/03/2008 17:10

Wow, congratulations TMP! Let us know when you have a name for your lovely girl.

VS - why have they suddenly given you a date for the CS? And only on your EDD? What stillbirth risks?! I had an appointment the other day where the registrar went on about the risks of UR and stillbirth after 41 wks but when I ask for references she just looked . I'd be interested to know what they've told you.

Peachy · 25/03/2008 17:16

Just ahd text from TMP with same info but will text her back all our congrats.

Am - sounds like a great birth!

vacaloca · 25/03/2008 17:20

VS - just read your message in the VBAC thread. Sorry to hear the results of the doppler weren't too good. Fingers crossed that you'll go into labour well before then.

Peachy · 25/03/2008 17:27

TMP will be home tomorrow to tell us mroe, and is consideringa lovely name but I will let her tell you herself. She sounds over the moon and ecstatic

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 25/03/2008 17:45

Yay - another baby! Congratulations TMP!! Such fantastic news! :} :}

Had night from hell last night - I am suffering from such bad heartburn that I literally cannot lie down without the acid flowing and burning my insides. Whoever it is on here that said they have never suffered from it - I am extremely jealous! Went to the Dr today and he has given me some strong medication that should help. Have to take it before breakfast so I cannot wait for tomorrow morning - I am praying that it works! As well as the heartburn I have a nasty chest infection as well - no thanks to my DH who kindly gave it to me! Misery guts here today.

Also went to the dr to ask him a question which he couldn't answer - so wondering if you more knowledgeable ladies know. I was told that when your belly goes 'spongy' it means you are having a hormonal surge. I have had a few spongy belly incidents, but it freaks me out every time, so I thought I would just double check with the dr today. He had never even heard of it! Suggested that the next time it happens I contact my midwife (regardless of the hour). I wouldn?t even know how to contact my midwife?!! How does that work - do you just call the hospital and ask to speak to one? Anyway - hope someone will be able to answer this one!

ToastAddict · 25/03/2008 17:54

TMP - many congratulations! Can't wait to hear more!!

M2b2BR - why can't you take the meds til tomorrow? I'm a pharmacist, happy to help if I can - what is it you've been given?

And scampmum - who did you snog????????

Mollyfloss · 25/03/2008 17:58

Mum2b: It was me who said I haven't had heartburn, well actually I have has it but not while pg so I know how yuk it can be. Hope the medication helps!

Haven't heard of or experienced the spongy tummy though. hope someone else can help!

Mollyfloss · 25/03/2008 18:00

Toasaddict is a pharmacist! Why didn't you say so before?! We would have bombarded you with question !

Mum2b2BabyRoo · 25/03/2008 18:00

Thanks TA - I have been given capsules called Omeprazole. Not too sure why I can't take before tomorrow other than that's what the dr and pharmacist said and it's written in caps on the sticky on the box! If I can take it now I will be over the moon - I just want to feel heartburn acid free and get some sleep tonight!

scorpio1 · 25/03/2008 18:02

Getting lots of periody aches here tonight.

ToastAddict · 25/03/2008 18:09

Omeprazole:
I honestly can't see why you can't take one tonight - some people have to take them twice daily anyway

Taking it before food rather than on a full stomach will probably mean it is absorbed better, so will work better, but doesn't mean it will do you any harm if you don't do this. The manufacturers actually say that the absorption isn't affected by food, so I really don't see why your GP and pharmacist said this......

My advice is to take one now and then another tomorrow morning, from then on take them before breakfast. And the manufacturers say there is no risk in pregnancy:

"Pregnancy

The analysis of the results from three epidemiological studies has revealed no evidence of adverse events of omeprazole on pregnancy or on the health of the foetus/newborn child. Losec can be used during pregnancy.

Lactation

Omeprazole is excreted in breast milk but is not likely to influence the child when therapeutic doses are used."

Hope this helps (and hope they work!!)

Carey87 · 25/03/2008 18:12

Go scorpio!!!

I would love to know what periody pains feel like, the only thing i keep getting is sharp pains in my lower back about 10/12 times a day, someone mentioned back labour?!?
