Thread title reflects the fact that every day that passes it dawns on me a bit more

Minkus- my last day is 15th May. The thursday, so a few days before you.

well thats actually the start of 2 weeks holiday before starting my proper maternity leave the begininig of June.

Cant wait!!

O i do forget bump is there at times esp when i am chaseing after lo and she gone into a tight space and bump gets stuck
With you on the maternity cloths, pointless spending alot on them at this stage. I had to buy jeans b4 i went on hols as my last pair were to big for me!! But what i have will do now cause i will never require them again Hope you got loads of sparkles for your lo's while you were shopping.. DD1 is going through the sparkle stage and i love it.. Its all pink..

Feeling excited and apprehensive about 4D scan today.....the last scan I had was on the day I decided against the amnio and so I think all the little worries about the baby are creeping back into my mind. Hopefully this will put my mind at rest and be a good experience....

Jodie - yes I got my new oven a few weeks ago, didn't want to use it it was SOOOO clean, not like that now though. Only trouble is it's too fast so keep burning things.

All well here for a change, The pain from below seems to have gone (not for long i am sure) i have only managed to put on 1 stone in weight and a little more which is very low i think, and it's not from starvation as i do eat what i like. Its the wkend and i hope you all have a lovly one... DD1 is feeding me now so better be off...

Aw tanks sk and Minnie, had a much better night (no cramp!!!) and as dh was away, I let ds stay in with me so no waking up from him either. Couple of loo trips but nowt too strenuous. Day started at 6am though as our room gets the early sun but it could have been worse!

Good luck to you folks having 4d scans- will you post the pics?

We are contemplating a trip to ikea today as they have their 21% off everything sale and we need some wardrobes in our bedroom. Fed up of clothes tumbling out of our cupboards! But not sure if I can be bothered with the rugby scrum that I bet it will be! (Or the grumpy old so and so I expect dh will be if his hangover is as big as he expects!)

Would be nice though, I can get nesting again then

A trip to Ikea is just what the doctor has ordered for you DH lol Honest he will love it and then the grocery shopping needs to be done.

I'm supposed to writing a huge essay, better get on with it. Really wanna give up course now but over half way through so should carry on. Next course in my degree starts in Oct so will need lots of determination to sign up for that one. Only 1 year to go!

I did think about Ikea this morning but decided I couldn't quite face it.

Looking forward to the scan today but its not till 4pm so have a while to wait.

Had such busy weekends lately that its nice to finally have a quiet one.
Just the usual odd jobs/housework around the house.

Trip to Ikea sounds good. Thats what we have planned for next weekend

With the new appiliances now we have had a jig about in the kitchen and the new washing machine is where the fridge used to be. DH has joked at how long its going to be before i put the milk/ butter or something in the washing machine!

Finally just managed toget DD down for a wee sleep. She is hyper just now. DH's friend has arrived and they are busy putting up the greenhouse for me. I've been gardening again this morning and am now very tired - we are supposed to be having a barbq this evening. Sunny but freezing wind!

Was chatting to my Dad earlier and he was busy telling me about how I need to get 'trim' again once this LO is born and how hard it will be for me as I am like my Mum and 'big boned'. My Dad had a thing about being fat as he was when young - I am a tad porky - but used to be quite fit before first pg.

MUMMYWANNABE - me too It's crap isn't it? I just cannot find the enthusiasm or brain or will power or anything for this last essay. Need to force myself though as it is due in on 29th - last 1 for me - hurrah!!! Then Dh is going to start his Autumn semester Good luck with yours - what's it on? Mine is quality assurance in FE colleges [yawnemoticon].

yeah there are a few people who haven't posted but they are probably just busy and it is very hard to keep up on here as there is so many of us now! You miss a couple of days and you have pages to read through - then by the time you get to post you've forgotten who said what!

SWEETKITTY/MCCHEESERS/MINIPINK - are you going to the baby show?

Hi everyone.

Feel like total shit now! Went for the 4d scan at 4 and was really looking forward to it.

Sonographer couldnt get a good picture as babys face was squished up against the uterus and i was told that i dont have enough Amniotic fluid. He suggest i drink more..lots more.

Thankfully he didnt charge us and we have rebooked for 32 weeks to try again. Annoyed as i was looking forward to it but also feel bad that ive not been looking after baby properly.
Been plenty of tears since we got back as i feel like a bad mummy already and babys not even here yet!

Have a midwife appointment on thursday so will chat with her about it then, just cant help but feel that i have been harming my baby or something.Ive never been a big drinking and used to go all day without a drink but DH has been pouring it down my neck since we got in!
Oh well best get used to it!

Sorry to hear of your experience Pigley - I'm sure everything will be fine and you'll have a great scan at 32 weeks - mums always feel guilty about something - it comes with the job description!! Baby will be fine - try not to worry!!!

My scan was very good - very worth while!! They did have to stop half way through and get me to bend and stretch to try to get LO to move her hands up so that the cord would move out of the way of her little face. Eventually we got some great face shots....see profile!! The dark shadows are where the cord was still in the way. also my scanner is broken and so dh took pictures of the pictures with his phone However, they are still good....let me know what you all think!!

Very of you. I was really looking forward to mine today but it wasnt to be.

Just hoping i now dont have a problem with my low levels of fluid, For obvious health problems and wanting to get some pics at the next 4d scan.

hello everyone, ive been watching the posts for a while, but have finally decided to take the plunge with posting. I havent read all of this thread yet, but its lovely to see that some of you are already on countdown to finishing work, im finishing on 9th may cant wait, was feeling a bit like it was a bit to early but with my lively DS1 im feeling really tired all the time.
Pigley - sorry to hear about the probs with your 4d scan, im sure all will be ok, they would have picked it up at your 20 week scan surely.
Mink Pink - my lo was right against the uterus when i had my 4d scan, must be like a comfy pillow for them

minipink - great pics I must dig out the ones of DD2 and post a pic of her newborn too, aww it's amazing to think we all have something that looks like that in our bellies (gushy emoticon)

pigley - sorry your scan didn't work out today you must have a lovely comfy uterus wall that he/she was nestling against. I wouldn't worry too much about the amniotic fluid thing half the time people say things that turn out to be untrue i.e. when women are told they are having 10lbs babies and out pops a 7lber etc.

very very sore tonight so off to bed in a minute
