Thread title reflects the fact that every day that passes it dawns on me a bit more

sweetkitty - his sperm made the girl!! he will push the pink camo pram

there - that told him!

sweetkitty · 14/04/2008 22:07

Maybe it is a bit BRIGHT don't want to be known around town as the woman with the pink pram!

libralady · 14/04/2008 22:08

SK
It is a nice pram, but I don't do pink in any shape or form. Just as well I'm having another boy then lol . I promise I am going to bed in a mo. Can't drag myself away from MN - it's so addictive

sweetkitty · 14/04/2008 22:10

They do a blue camo one as well

DD1 would love it she adores pink and when she is older she is going to live in a pink house full of pink things and drive a pink car.

Poor DP he doesn't really stand a chance does he?

Minkus · 14/04/2008 22:46

Hey late night ladies

That is an uber pink pram not just pink! I couldn't push a pink pram! I would feel really conspicuous and be paranoid that everyone was looking at me all the time. (Pram itself is really nice though)

TMI warning- I'm having a real problem trimming my undercarriage! The bump is too big now for me to be able to see round to shave and I have a lower "beard" that would rival zz top

Can I use immac d'you think? Used to before pg but not sure whether hair removal cream is ok now.

And arharhararhhar about the pregnancy craps

ichef · 15/04/2008 00:08

pigleychez tks, we're v. excited as for the names I like Callum a LOT, I like Thomas, Daniel, there are so many names I like, I still have a long way and I'm sure I'm gonna start dreaming names now

misspaula we're very lucky we moved from the USA here because of dh's work and so, because of the hassle they'll pay for a private hospital which is fab and anything we need including the scans and anything else re baby's birth so we're very very lucky indeed

i have to go to bed, tired tired tired.

ichef · 15/04/2008 00:09

sk - i love the pink pram, not sure what we're buying yet, i want a cool pram dh wants the simpler we can get, so uncool

isaidno · 15/04/2008 07:38

SK - pink is good! I bought my buggy in pink, and DH will just have to push it!

Minkus - I take the following attitude to pubic hair during pg - complete ignorance. I can always go for a full lower body wax in 3 months time!

isaidno · 15/04/2008 07:43

SK - there's a really girly pram here I think you could squeeze 2 babies in it!

sweetkitty · 15/04/2008 08:34

Morning ladies I think I won't be getting the pink pram as someone said I would really stand out plus I think it wouldn't be as good for selling on after I had finished with it.

isaidno - I have seen your pram in the flesh and it is lovely it's not too pink IYSWIM, lovely and neat too. Silvercross looks lovely but not too practical for shoving in the boot and nipping round the shops.

minkus - have you tried squatting over a mirror? I think thats what I used to do. I can't bear bearing hairy down below. Speaking of undercarriages mine feels so low and heavy, this early on as well. Sometimes when I go to the toilet it's feels like everything is going to drop out

Not as nice here today have promised the DDs we would go down the park today as well.

Libra1975 · 15/04/2008 09:43

SK that is very pink, the advantage being you wouldn't lose it in a gaggle of prams.
We are just getting a boring maclaren XLR which comes in either grey with pink highlights or grey with blue highlights. Exciting. not.

Libralady I am also only getting kicks well below my belly button, as this is my first I just presumed this is normal and all is well as long as it's kicking? Do I need to start paniking about breech?

Minkus - treat yourself and get someone else to do it, that's what I'm going to do with down there, legs and pedicures (when I can be bothered to actually book an apointment).

sweetkitty · 15/04/2008 09:50

libra if I wasn't needing a double for a bit I would be getting a Maclaren (with pink highlights of course) and probably still will once DD2 is walking all the time. I have one just now and it has been used with two babies and is just starting to look a bit rusty around the wheels and a bit tatty. They are great little buggies. Ideal for the car and the shops as well as down the park too.

I think this little girl has turned around as I was getting kicks to my right hand side but now they are under my ribs. Plenty of time for them still on turn and turn again though.

Libra1975 · 15/04/2008 11:39

Nice to hear good things about the Mac SK, of course in my baby fantasies I have one of those all singing all dancing travel systems where the baby is facing you etc but it's just not practical and I can spend the money I save on stuff for me, like ridiculously expensive nappy change bags from OiOi

sweetkitty · 15/04/2008 12:11

libra - I bought a travel system first time around it was so impractical that I bought a Maclaren after 8 weeks, DD1 was lovely and cosy in it and I don't think she minded the not facing me thing, you have a peep hood anyway you can see them fine especially when they are lying flat.

Libra1975 · 15/04/2008 12:12

lol, yes that's what my DH said to me "the baby doesn't care which way it faces, you do"

jocesar · 15/04/2008 12:57

Libra 1975- you've now got me worried! I'm 28 wks and all the kicks are well below the belly button- nearer my pelvis. I haven't had a single movement higher up. so does that mean the boy is breech at the moment- something else to stress about. I'll be gutted if I can't have a go at a natural birth. anyone got any advice?

sweetkitty · 15/04/2008 13:01

jocesar - please don't worry too much about the position of the baby it's far too early, they can whizz about all over the place, I think the MWs don't worry until you are about 36 weeks.

Libra1975 · 15/04/2008 13:07

To be honest I was joking a bit, I think there is still enough room in the womb for them to be somersaulting around and at the moment it's just our babies prefer to be head up so all the kicking happens down below.

However I have heard bouncing on a birthing ball is good for getting the baby in the correct position.

Greatings from the sunny (well at the moment) lakes this wil be a quick one cos H's net restrictions don't like some of the pages on here makes me laugh and wonder what on earth you lot have been chatting about again that is not appropriate for the eyes of a 10 year old lol

gillythekid · 15/04/2008 18:05

Hey ladies, takes me ages to catch up on all the chat!! Re the state of our undercarriages, mine is a vast, bushy wasteland. I haven't had a wax since my honeymoon in February and that hurt like hell!! I usually don't flinch but I think pregnancy makes it all a bit more sensitive. My friend has just given birth to a daughter and lives in a Brazilian neighbourhood in West London so I might combine a visit to new mum and have the muff seen to whilst I'm near the experts. Nice.
One more thing. I'm feeling a little frumpy, possibly a tad hormonal, but what is it about pregnancy that gives people the right to make stupid comments about your weight? I expect to gain weight whist growing another human but I don't need some smart arse telling me how fat I look, it's just plain rude and next time I might cry just to make them feel crap, either that or hit them repeatedly round the head.

ButterflyMcQueen · 15/04/2008 18:09

cupcakes welcome welcome welcome!

we need to update you and ichef on our list as two more little boys but i am too lazy short tempered rubbish to re number them so it has to be someone nicer else !

EEC · 15/04/2008 18:13

Hello all. I'm finally back in old Blighty, and back on the internet. Absolutely exhausted and living in complete chaos but pleased to be back. I think I might have overdone it a bit these last few weeks though as have terrible back ache, loads of slightly painful braxton hicks, and have a few cramps too. Trying not to worry, and trying to force myself to take it easy, but it's impossible. You just can't move house without lifting stuff, and working like a maniac! Never a dull moment though!

DS started new school today - first day at secondary school, as in France he was still at local primary. Seems such a big step. He seemed to be happy about it thogh, which is great.

Haven't had a chance to catch up yet, so hope all is well with you all.

TMI maybe, but anyone else recently got a lot of extra vaginal discharge?
