Afternoon,

tafftaff I thought for a scary second tat the housework would actually get done!!

Minkus · 04/04/2008 12:33

Lol tafftaff! I agree, although it meant I actally got off my big old lazy arse and did somethig contstructive! (DS and I went on a little bike ride then we made a picnic together and ate it in the back garden on a rug and everything! Lovely weather here)

Oh and by the way, just to add I have NO sex drive and it's a boy!

tafftaff · 04/04/2008 12:41

Minkus...that is inspiring. I am 100% impressed!

Jodie...nothing makes me want to do housework, not even MN going down! Glad you didn't give in to the urge. Makes me feel better!

Mmmm, cookie

sweetkitty · 04/04/2008 13:31

I had to do some housework this morning as well.

I think the sex drive thing is a load of old tosh as well, I think I could be pregnant with triplet boys and still wouldn't have a sex drive, how can you fancy sex when you can't even lift your legs of an evening?

In a bad mood today, DP was supposed to be home at 9pm last night, staggers in at 12.30am combination of delays at Heathrow terminal 5, free bar + weak willed man = not good. Didn't get to sleep until 1am then DD1 up 5 times in the night, DD2 about 6 including on and off for an hour, DP crashing about looking for the toilet, (why is it when theres a toilet 2 feet from his bed - en suite not an actual toilet, does he go to the big bathroom along the hall?) then he's up at 6am for work, DD2 up at 7. So as you can imagine I am even less cheerful today.

On a brighter note I have bought something new for DD3 - 8 pairs of tiny pink and white socks! Was buying some for the other ones and had to get her some as well.

JODIEhavingababy · 04/04/2008 13:38

Oh dear Sweetkitty, I HATE it when my DH gets in that state, he NEVER hears DS cries so we can't even take it in turns to get up to him! PIG! Luckily Dh does usuall yfind the ensuite, but he makes a huge noise comin up the stairs and slamming the baby gate! I need to get out and buy the baby something nice. Just got the Green Baby catalouge and there is some lovely stuff in there.. Very tempting

Tafftaff, I wiped the sink and the toilet when I bathed DS this morning, does that count?

I am very tired also today, but not because my Dh was being a apin, because my DH did go out last night, so I played on his Xbox and didn't go to bed until 1.00! I shout at him when he does that!!!

sweetkitty · 04/04/2008 13:47

oh don't worry Jodie he will be doing all the night shifts tonight and theres no way I am getting up early tomorrow morning.

isaidno · 04/04/2008 15:32

My close baby carrier sling arrived today, so I had a practise with a teddy. It seems good, but as I am sort there seems to be alot of spare material! All the more to wrap around my post baby belly I suppose!

isaidno · 04/04/2008 15:32

short not sort!

tafftaff · 04/04/2008 15:45

isaidno...was Alf not available?

RUMPEL · 04/04/2008 15:45

HI All,

SWEETKITTY - hop eyou are feeling better I am a misersable old bag when pg too and like MINIPINK I have been on aniut-d's since last May. 10mg a day. Tried to reduce them before TTC but my anxiety attacks became really bad again. With me it has been bad stuff happening in life the past 4 years but I think being pg makes it much worse. The sun always cheers you up a wee bit though so hopefully you'll be feeling brighter today - beautiful here.

My DD has started talking Yesterday she said 'balloon', bye bye (won't stop saying it now), and today she added 'juice' to her repetoire. She can say Daddy and if she is very upset Mummy. Soo cute.

Spent all day WEd sitting on my bum doing my essay but got is finished - WHOOPEE!!!!!
So yesterday I went mad and painted the conservatory - not all but some of it, then went into the garden and weeded, tidied up etc, and made fresh pasta/ravioli!!! So last night was dead on feet with very sore nether regions. Had a glass of red wine and it totally knocked me out so am feeling relaxed and sleepy today.

I have had the occassional spot of blood when wiping at the loo - old blood. Am wondering if it is tiny burst blood vessels in the vagina (possibly with increased blood flow int he area, pushing to go to the loo) has anyone else had this? It is just niggling me but I ams ure all is okay as LO jumps around like mad.

My belly feels as though it has got GINORMOUS the last week - can no longer see my feet and my belly button is starting to almost oush out when I push my tummy out! Bleurgh - gives me the heebies!

I painted DD's nursery in our old house - a farmhouse, with barn and fences and bought those removable stickers so had sheep, cows, pigs, ducks etc. It was lovely but she never was in it - it was too small to fit her cot in with all her clothes etc so she stayed in wityh me until we moved! She was about 9 months then - too long. This Lo will be in the nursery probably about 4 months - I am a very light sleeper and all that snuffuffling and snorting keeps me awake!

DD'd room here I painted a mural on one wall - fairies and flowers, trees, butterflies and toadstolls and stuck on one of those wee fairie doors. I added lots of tsicky on things but she keeps pulling them off now!

Anyway I am rambling - again!

By the way can anyone tell me what happened in Easties last week. I missed the whole Shean, Max thing and have no idea where Max disappeared to?

Take care allxxxx

RUMPEL · 04/04/2008 15:47

Sorry for the typing dyslexia!

sweetkitty · 04/04/2008 16:20

Just had some brilliant news my best friend has just e-mailed me and she is pregnant this will be her first and she has been ttc for over a year so am so delighted for her (and her DH of course) I think they were starting to get really worried. Was also sad for them at the christening I went to recently when everyone was asking when they were going to have a baby as everyone else our age has (I knew they are ttc but no one else did). She's only 7 weeks so early days but fingers and toes crossed.

Rumpel - rabbit away, well done your DD learning to talk she will never stop now as is my experience with little girls. Your nurseries sound fab btw, I am going to make a big fuss of DD2 moving into DD1's room next year and redecorate and they can both pick the theme although two walls will probably be pink and full of Princesses and two will be full of Bob the Builder!

So far today I have done the following: hoovered and mopped kitchen floor, emptied bins, dishwasher, tidied the kitchen, hoovered living/dining room and polished, cleaned downstairs loo, hoovered stairs, hoovered all the bedrooms, dusted all bedrooms, sorted out DD1's toy cupboard, generally tidied DDs room (aka picking up bits of plastic tat), done 2 washings/ironed and put away erm trying to think of anything else this was me supposed to be relaxing and taking it easy. No wonder I am now in pain own worst enemy but I cannot relax if it's not done. Am going to get DP to do the upstairs at the weekend for me now. Right am off to put feet up for rest of day (as far as I can).

EEC · 04/04/2008 18:21

I switched to ebay and did some shopping when MN went down !

Sweetkitty, I am very impressed, slightly overawed, and thinking that perhaps you are a bit mad!

sweetkitty · 04/04/2008 18:24

oh what did you buy EEC anything for the baby ?

That's my normal Friday routine but I am thinking I am mad and am going to have to seriously cut back on housework. I have 3 cats though so the kitchen needs done every day as does the hoovering as theres hairs (and bits from the DDs everywhere). Nearly started moving furniture about in DD1's room but stopped myself

EEC · 04/04/2008 19:49

Bought a support belt for me (to try and maybe help with the back pain a bit) and a widgey cushion (for me at the moment, but for baby in the future).

As we are moving on Sunday I am finding it almost impossible to not move things I shouldn't be, which is not helping my back at all. DH is getting cross with me, but there is so much to do, and he's not there all the time!

Can't wait to be back...

purplejennyrose · 04/04/2008 22:00

Wow sweetkitty, I managed a bit of hoovering and cleaned a toilet - that was enough!!
HAd a random little conversation with dd1 last night, about whether the baby in mummy's tummy has got pyjamas on or not...she was very concerned about it not having pyjamas...

purplejennyrose · 04/04/2008 22:04

Anyone who has tried the Close baby carrier - would you recommend it? Is it very adjustable? Good re dodgy backs? Really like the look of it but have an unused sling (a pouch - type one) from first time, so reluctant to buy another just like that...

sweetkitty · 04/04/2008 22:08

DD1 has asked if the baby wear a nappy in my tummy and if it likes the pizza I am eating, I think she thinks I eat it and it goes straight to the baby. She also asks everyday if she is coming out yet, aww they can be cute sometimes.

Note to self - must cut down on housework!

isaidno · 05/04/2008 07:55

purplejennyrose - my close carrier feels lovely and soft, but it's hard to tell how it will be with a baby in it! It is easy to distribute the weight over both shoulders, which appealed to me. It feels like the baby will be held nice and snug.

I've only had a baby bjorn in the past, but found baby too heavy on my back / shoulders after 6 / 8 weeks.

MINNIE1 · 05/04/2008 08:13

Morning all,

SK
Last Sat night DP did the falling in at all hours and i ended up on the couch and doing the night shift needless to say he has been rather sorry since!!
I was over with my last two and had to be induced, but labour was ok as labour goes.. Realy cant wait to have this baby...

I am off on my holidays today for some sun shine which is needed badly. So i am treating myself to a pedicure this morning and off to the airport at 2 wooohooo so cant wait.. PAcking the kids was a nightmare, what to bring and "o i need that" but all sorted and house semi clean and tidy for us when we get home. So looking forward to going away i think this is what has been keeping me sane for the last few weeks..

I shall bring you all home some sun xxx

isaidno · 05/04/2008 08:29

Have a lovely time minnie xx

Kaz1967 · 05/04/2008 11:27

sweetkitty Just so long as when they are out she does not want you to put it back like my friends daughter did ROFL

EEC · 05/04/2008 12:00

Have fun Minnie.

I am disconnecting my computer now to take back to UK, and will not be set up again for a week or two, so I hope everyone is relatively symptom free in my absence. I will miss all the updates and look forward to catching up on my return.

Ta ta...

Minkus · 05/04/2008 13:00

Good luck for the move EEC! We'll look foraward to an update when you're safe and sound back in ol' blighty...

Kitty do you think you could give me a few housekeeping lessons? That sounds like the amount I would get through in a week let alone 1 day . Do be nice to yourself though and make a bit of chill out time part of your normal Friday too!

Must admit to having a bit of a nesting head on too though, have been decluttering big style and taken about 4 boxes of "stuff" to the charity shop so far, have a huge list of things (mainly ds's toys) that have been sorted and dh needs to put up in the loft I am continuing the sort out so there will be more in the week for him! Lucky chap. Also means though that whilst he's up there he can bring down all the baby things so am really excited! Can start preparing poperly now.

Only new thing we need is a moses basket as ours got a bit tatty after ds was squished in it for 6 months but mentioned to a friend that I would really have loved one of the bed side swinging cribs and she has said we can borrow hers, so v v v pleased about that! DH also relented and we've got a new buggy, only a Mothercare one but still it's a new toy! I can't stop playing with it

DS isn't well again today poor boy so I've made a nest for him on the sofa and he's enjoying a snuggly day so far involving sticker books and story tapes. Which means I get to snuggle too hurrah!

Hope you all have a good weekend xxx
