Just peeking in as m27 mentioned she was having contractions today on another thread. Good luck to you all.

Glammama · 05/03/2008 19:51

Hello all,

Gosh I don't have time to read all ELEVEN pages you lot have filled since last Thursday. I checked the announcements page and congratulations to everyone who has had their babies.

I won't post much now as DP is dishing up the tea but I'll try to come back tomorrow. In the meantime I have managed to upload a photo of my gorgeous boy onto my profile.

Love Glam x

Thanks for sharing all your gorgeous photos All complete cuties.

Can't wait for news from MOM, wonder if she has had baby yet?

fitnfortyone · 06/03/2008 07:12

morning all, how are we today, anyone MIA or all present and correct?

Had another 2-ish hours of contractions last night for between 50secs to 1 1/2 mins, but realised that 2 hours seems to be the cutoff time so didn't bother getting too excited about it until after that. Then they stopped. Couldn't find a comfy position to sleep in last night either, sigh. Woke up this morning and was on my back with lots of pain, first thought was "if you've turned back to back you little bugger i'm gonna kill you!" but it appeared to be one long very painful contraction. Nothing since....

~Have a feeling he'll put in an appearance either later today or tomorrow though, must get sweepstake running....

Jaysthird · 06/03/2008 08:45

well i am still here Fit! Sounds like you are about there what with your many niggles and contractions, lucky thing. Hope all goes swimmingly and your predictions are correct! Keep us updated

turtle23 · 06/03/2008 08:55

Good luck FNF ! Morning all...woke up this morning with the dread of going into Assessment unit for the morning and just then the midwife rand to say she'd been thinking about it and really my BP wasn't sooo bad and they can come check me at home on Saturday instead!! JOY!
Jaysthird ...It's very kind of you to wait for the rest of us, but go on...go have your baby we won't mind!! Wishing you (and Merry a contraction-filled productive day.

Excellent news, turtle! FNF, Jays, Merry - I have my fingers crossed that today is the day for all of you!

Nothing to report after yesterday's amateur dramatics other than a very active baby (for first time in days) and a more organised mum (hospital bag pretty much sorted now!) Plus I'm officially 37 weeks today so although he may be early he's no longer going to be technically preemie

I'm about to have a soak in the bath then sort out some tunes for my iPod to take into hospital with me. Anyone got any suggestions for appropriate birth music? I imagine what I want for labouring is very different to what I want for pushing! Bear in mind that my birth centre has glitter ball disco lights in the delivery rooms, so Abba Gold is definitely on the playlist...

timmyinatizzy · 06/03/2008 09:27

All these baby photos are soo cute. Can't wait till Junior pops out and joins them.

Turtle that is good news about your BP.

JFly · 06/03/2008 09:37

Happy due date to JFly, happy due date to JFly.
Happy due date to JFlyyyyyyy, happy due date to me!

And yet, it all feels a bit anti-climactic. I'm putting a lot of faith in reflex today. DH left the house this morning saying that today is an "optimal" day to go into labour as then his paternity leave would roll straight into Easter bank hols! I keep trying to convince him that this is NOT going to be a holiday!

Lots of good contraction and labour vibes to everyone!!

littleducks · 06/03/2008 09:41

Lovely baby pictures there, i have been looking with dd looking over my shoulder (or climbing all over me is prob more accurate) and she is disapointed that the babies all seem to be sleeping, bet when our bundle arrives she will be glad when our baby is asleep instead of needing tending to!

Had awful night last night and was only supposed to come online to find an oven cleaning company as i have been pregnant or breastfeeding and avoiding chemicals for the past two and a half years and prob still will be for the next year and a half so am going to learn to delegate or i'll need a new oven!

merryberry · 06/03/2008 10:08

waves<

still here, still pregnant, still sulking.

sorry not more communicative.

xx

doup76 · 06/03/2008 11:05

I am getting really excited now!!!! Can't sleep, totally in overdrive.....can't stop eating cake.....

JFly · 06/03/2008 12:16

Aw MB. Have you had your reflex yet? Hope that makes you feel better, one way or another.

Just had mine and she said my feet were very responsive this week, so I hope that's a good sign. I had her do her magic, so fingers crossed.

MissingMyHeels · 06/03/2008 12:21

JFly - She said that to me too and didn't think I would need another appointment but I am still here and she has unengaged! Hope she was right for you though.

CricketsMum - Where is there a private birth centre around here? Just curious and thinking of a back-up if they try and talk about induction tomorrow!

JFly · 06/03/2008 12:36

Urgh, unengaged! That's no good MMH! I made another appt for Tues, just in case....

I'm hoping that even though LO is moving lots, that b/c I still feel pressure that it's still engaged. Will find out more tomorrow at MW....

CricketsMum · 06/03/2008 12:51

MMH - it's in Tooting, practically in St George's back garden. At the moment you can have my slot... mw finally made an appt to see me at 1 today after i chased and complained about not seeing them for 2 weeks (supposed to be weekly appts now) but she just texted to say she is running late. No idea how late, just late. Had rescheduled reflexology to fit around her so am quite irritated by it all! Am very scared that LO will have disengaged or something equally irritating having read about all the nightmares various people have been having...

JFly - Happy due date . My dh had a long chat with my bump the other night to tell her not to arrive that night as he was tired and needed to sleep. Am not sure why they think LO's will listen to their parents now when we all know we haven't got much hope of them listening to us at any point once they are out!
