Hello I hope everyone is well

I can't wait to have my scan it will all seem 'real' then - haven't had a date through yet though!!

SydneyB · 03/03/2008 13:53

Hello all - I have been absenting myself in an effort to get to 12 weeks and scan without thinking about it all too much. Some hope! So, I am back. 9 + 4 today. Feeling atrocious. Sick sick sick, hungry, can't eat anything. Stuck at work and just want to be in bed. I can't remember when this passed with DD but am praying it's soon as I have had ENOUGH!

bethoo · 03/03/2008 13:54

sambrands - a whoosing noise with a slow rythymm beat is the placenta and any bubbly noises nearby is movement i am guessing though i am right about the whooshing noise!!

sparklesandnowinefor9months · 03/03/2008 14:17

how many weeks is it that they can hear the heart beat? i can't remember

i have m/w in a couple of weeks and was thinking of asking her if i can hear it, i'll be about 8/9 wks then

sambrads · 03/03/2008 14:32

well as long as i heard something then i know that i am not imagining things

oh nw york how i would just love to go there and max out my credit card on beautiful tiffany jewellery

i was talking to my friend on sat night she is 36 weeks preg and was told on friday her baby was breach !!
no one told her this at any of her scans . its her second child and she has been trying to build herself up for the whole birth experience now its taken out of her hands

has anyone any info on turning breach babies???

she also said that with her second she didnt feel pregnant at all only for having sickness she would have thought her tests were wrong.

Hi everyone, I've been at the IL's for the weekend so haven't been around so just spent time catching up on the thread, my god a lot has happened in just a couple of days!

I spent my weekend making party food for the IL's anniversary do, if I never see another cheese and pineapple in my life it will be too soon! yuck..!!

Felt awful yesterday, having not experienced the joys of morning sickness with my two dd's I'm finding this particularly horrid.. Spent most of yesterday sleeping and could barely utter a word without waves of sickness coming over me. Could only manage to eat crips and mcdonalds fries, even toast is making me want to hurl.

And worse still DH wasn't feeling well either (think he's coming out in sympathy)so I could relax and be looked after, I'd have thought at least be pregnant would give me good reason to actually sit down when not feeling to good but no such luck!

Feeling better today though, been to my body attack class (spoke to instructor who told me it would be fine to carry on) today and feeling quite refreshed, a bit tired but in a good way.

Oh btw mothers day was okay, dd managed to be good (she had a late night at the party so that was a bonus) and she made me a glass of squash, what more could I ask for hey...

I was away over the weekend at my parents, so nice to come back and read everyone's news. Still haven't told anyone in RL, so this thread is a lifeline for all my obsessive pregnancy worrying.

DH and I went out on Saturday night, leaving my parents babysitting DS, which was lovely - though shame I couldn't enjoy a nice glass of wine with my dinner. Plus I'm so tired at the moment that we were back home and going to sleep by 9:30. Hardly a big night out!

Sayuri · 03/03/2008 16:20

Hello - I'm new here but I'm apparently due on October 1st -- although I havent had my dating scan yet so who knows.

This will be our first baby and so far my pregnancy has been somewhat uncomfortable

SARAHandTINY · 03/03/2008 17:08

I've been spotting all afternoon now (7w+3d preg)(red this time) no cramps but cannot but help think this means bad news. Trying to get hold of my GP who's still in clinic. Would like a scan so I know what's going on. Reckon I should be able to get one in the next day or two.
Anyone else had bleeding that didn't spell the end? Would be really gutted as it took us nearly 3 years to get preg & so excited...

sambrads · 03/03/2008 17:09

hi ya sayuri how are you??

so whats your symptoms???

you are the same as me around 10 weeks its so exciting

MrsTittleMouse · 03/03/2008 17:11

SARAHandTINY - I have two friends who have ended up in the EPA unit and have gone on to have healthy pregnancies and babies (in fact one of them ended up their for both of her children). They both had bleeding as the reason for assessment.

SARAHandTINY · 03/03/2008 17:37

thanks MrsTM! i'll let you know how things go...hope it's good news. Will keep praying & keep my legs crossed...

MrsTittleMouse · 03/03/2008 18:15

I'll be keeping everything crossed for you.

AandMsmum · 03/03/2008 18:35

SARAHandTINY a friend of mine was passing clots all through her pregnancy but all was well. Hope all turns out okay, sending lots of love and luck to you x

Sarah - really hope it turns out to be fine for you, but just in case it doesn't, can I reassure you that it took me 3.5yrs to conceive the first time, and I did miscarry, but it only took another 7 months after that (I started charting and we had lots of sex!) to conceive again, so it doesn't mean that you would be trying again for another 3 years.

Think my sickness yesterday was caused by either lunch or a bug, as I had horribly upset stomach too, but feel quite a bit better now. So still no morning sickness .

at NYC PrePG. I love it there. Take in a Broadway show for me will you?

Welcome back Sydney.

sparkles - most m/ws won't listen for heartbeat until about 14/16 weeks, as people tend to worry if they can't find it, and it can be quite difficult before that.

sambrads - your friend might not have been told that baby was breach because it might not have been at the scans! They can still move around until quite late on if determined enough! There is some manipulation thing that can be done to try and turn them, but it can apparently be quite painful.

Welcome Sayuri.

moodywren · 03/03/2008 19:39

I have spotting with all my pregancies and all turned out ok. Had heavy bleeding, clots and all last time which lasted from 10 weeks to 12 weeks and still all okay even if it did give us a big scare

I didn't really feel pregnant til today when I started throwing up at 6.30am and still feel sick now. Spent an hour food shopping while struggling not to be sick. I guess I now I'm pregnant now.

hansnava · 03/03/2008 19:53

hi all,
havent been on in a while as i had early scan at 5weeks and all they could see was a sac so i didnt really want to think about pg til my next scan. well it was today and all is well, they have put my dates to 6 +3weeks today instead of the 7 weeks i thought i was. i feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders now, saying that im still gonna worry until my next scan
so my new due date is 25th october.
hope everyone else ok.

tedmundo · 03/03/2008 19:55

sarahandtiny - I had bleeding at 6 weeks and the result is upstairs asleep so do not think it means disaster. A scan will confirm all is well. Phone midwife tomorrow and ask her to fax a referral straight over to the EPU to put your mind at rest (they can and should do this for you very easily).

hansnava · 03/03/2008 20:01

sarahandtiny - i spotted from 6 - 9 weeks with my dd. it was just implantation bleeding. i went for scan to get checked and it put my mind a rest. dont bother with ur dr just phone the epc at ur local hospital directly and they will should let u go down there for a check up. try not to worry

Flum · 03/03/2008 22:05

The tiredness is hilarious isn't it. I think my DHthinks I've left him. He is left all alone in the evening as I keep crashing out on the sofa at a bout 8pm!!! Poor love. I haven't been producing any dinners for a aobut a week either. He thinks its quite funny ..... at the moment. I really want to bring in a family meal at 6pm (he works from home so is here) so that I can close the kitchen before I take the kids to bed and then relax for the evening, but he is not into early dinners. We always eat at 8 or 9. Trouble is I am so over cooking by then.

Am desperate to get house sorted out before this baby comes in October. Doing our loft conversion this summer and going to replace carpets and actually get some curtains - hoorah. Gonna be pricey though. ouch

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/03/2008 22:10

We're planning a loft conversion this year too, as well as a huge conservatory all across the back of the house, and resurfacing the drive and re-doing the fencing round the front. Months of chaos - joy . Just waiting for planning permission at the moment.

Jambers99 · 04/03/2008 07:32

Loft conversion here too, hopefully. Flum & CSWS - we must all be mad, you'd have thought small children and a new baby on the way was enough but no, we decide to do building work too... We're about to apply to the council for planning permission, just hope we can get everything completed before October!

Good luck Sarah&Tiny, hope all is well. I also have a friend who had terrible bleeding throughout her pregnancies and she now has an 18-month old and a 3-day old baby. So it doesn't necessarily mean the end of your pregnancy. Fingers crossed for you.

sambrads · 04/03/2008 08:44

hello ladies oh what a night i had

went over to my out of hours doctors as i felt like i was peeing glass when i went to the loo .
