hello everyone, just found you, thought we were all being uncharacteristically quiet

julezboo, I'm so sad to hear about your little bean. I hope you're managing ok.

moodywren · 29/02/2008 19:43

Hi
Can I join you? Just found out I'm pregnant again! Think I'm due 16th Oct.

Sprogstersmum · 29/02/2008 20:11

Just wanted to say hi - don't always have much time to catch up with thread. Am 8wks tomorrow and am so sick! Head aches, throwing up, knackered - am ecstatic about being pregnant as took a long time and had mc before as well but oh, it's hard to look after a toddler when you feel this rough! She's watching far too much tv and eating junk cos too ill to cook! Thank goodness it should only last a few weeks as all my usual parenting standards are going out the window.

Hi donbean - long time no speak. We used to be on the SW threads a few years ago when I was 'Tabs' didn't we? You can get a +ve test on the day your period is due, or sometimes even before.

Welcome also moodywren. 3 under 3 - wow!

Had my second midwife appointment today. Didn't really do a lot - just filled out my blood forms, and booked GTT test. Bloods are being done next Wedns - someone remind me!

ellensmelons · 29/02/2008 21:56

Hello everyone! just posted a panic thread in pregnancies (i think) and thought i'd say hi here too. Think i'm due end of October. Found out pg today. Bit of a shock. We were just going to see how things would go and, famous last words, they have gone with a bang!!! DD is only 5 months old, and will be about 13 months when dc2 is born.

we're very pleased but a little shell-shocked to say the least. DD took about 18 months of 'seeing how things went', and we obviously do it a lot less now!! Sorry tmi.

Anyway, hope to get to know you all better - there are so many of you! Isn't it great?! Congratulations. It's the beginning of a huge adventure.

mariekg · 29/02/2008 23:37

i know exactly how you feel ellensmelons it took 2 years to fall last time this time it took 2 weeks! my youngest is 2 years 4 months will be 3 when new baby arrives but we would have prefered a bigger gap im due on the 26th only just starting to feel a little quesy when im hungry in the evenings dont know why they call it morning sickness!

loulou33 · 01/03/2008 09:28

Hi All,

Sorry i've been absent for a few days. So much has haopopened here since i last looked - had to go to stirling yesterday in horrendous weather and took me about 5 hours to get home with all the trees down across roads and stuff.

Jules - so gutted for you, can't believe after all you've been through that this has to happen and bless you for thinking of us and wishing up well!!

I had scan on thurs and phew - its not twins as i feared and good heartbeat and big blog. Right for dates so due date is still 1st oct. Am expanding rapidly and not sure how long i can hide it for. One of the admin staff at work has noticed (she did last time) and she nodded and my belly and winked!! I had to run off before i started grinning at her!!!

Got to go and paint the front door (oh joy) and get ready for eurovision song selection tonight - (slightly ironic) yipee

Yay for good scan loulou. Thanks for letting me know about eurovision picking - didn't realise it was tonight. I love Eurovision!

Congrats and welcome Ellen and Knickers - it appears that you will both have small age gaps! Not sure I understand what is wrong with finding out over weekend though Knickers?

hello ladies loulou thats brill news about the scan

went out for a meal last night after running about after my ds at a birthday party and ended up coming home throwing up for over an hour it was awful

does anyone think that some days they dont feel pregnant ?????????????????????

i go through days were i feel so so pregnant then other days i feel like i am imagining things

there was a pregnant woman at the party and i asked her when she was due i thought that maybe she was 20 weeks but oh no she was due in 4 weeks i could not believee it i was threee times her size

ellensmelons · 01/03/2008 11:55

I don't feel preg at all!!!! Last time my boobs were so sore, but nothing right now. I'm off to spain on mon so it's just as well my sickness hasn't started yet. I know all pregs are different, and hope this one will be a lot better than before! Espec as i have my 5 month old to lug about. No lifting? no chance!

How i everyone feeling? I'm just getting all my preg books out again - i had packed them up to give to a friend but she can jolly well buy her own now!I remember last year every day seemed sssssssss long. And checking each time i went to the loo was a nightmare. xx

ilovebeinglazy · 01/03/2008 15:10

Thanks to Sambrads and Prepg for their sympathy. I was huge last time and it really showed as i'm only 5'2". But i think one reason for my bloating is that I've got a UTI. drinking loads of cranberry juice and generally lying around living up to my username.

See there is lot of debate over when to tell. My strategy at this stage is to tell a few key people cos its so fun to share but not so many that it would be difficult doing all the rounds calling if anything went wrong iyswim. So I've told three good friends and my mum and dad. DH has told nobody yet.

Not planning on telling my 2yr old ds for a long time

Hi to all the new joiners on the the thread.

Lozza70 · 01/03/2008 17:12

Had my second scan yesterday and all still well which is a huge relief Now 8+2 and looking forward to getting over my 10 week hurdle. off to, hopefully, sunny Tenerife tomorrow for a week of lying aound reading trashy novels!

sambrads · 01/03/2008 18:10

ilovebeinglazy i have been feeling like im getting an uti as i have had a bit of pain going to loo then the next day im fine then sore the next its strange .

i have an appointment with the gp on wed so i can bring a sample for him to test

oh lozza im so jealous wish i was going away although i would never get a novel to read as my ds would be looking in the pool hhahahaha
oh and glad your scan went well.

Lozza70 · 01/03/2008 18:43

According to my sister who is now a Mum this could be nearly the last holiday I have where I can lie reading! I intend to appreciate every moment

haha i went to rhodes last july as my sister got married there my ds was 9 months and i came back whiter than i went

enjoy your last baby free holiday but when your baby comes and you do go away its a different kind of holiday as you look forward to seeing there wee faces when there in the pool or playing in the sand you would never change it for the world

ellensmelons · 02/03/2008 12:59

Happy sunday everyone! I obviously spoke too soon - i felt really bleargh last night and went right off the thai meal we had bought. Here we go.......!

ellensmelons · 02/03/2008 13:05

We've told family and some close friends already, and did pretty soon last time too. My theory is, if i did lose it, i'd need support and comfort from those people when it happened and in the months (years) to follow.

bethoo · 02/03/2008 16:00

hi everyone, does anyone else feel like crap? cant face food at mo but think i may try fruit now as veg is out and so is meat!!

tedmundo · 02/03/2008 16:47

hi everyone - hope the symptoms are all present and correct but not making everyone feel TOO pooey!

Bethoo - wish I could say I am off food. I just can't stop eating at the moment as it actually stops me feeling sick.

Hope all those already mums are being spoilt today - I got breakfast in bed and have hardly looked after ds at all today. Have to confess I have not missed him ... yet!
