hello everyone - been lurking but not much to tell you all so not been posting. Great news about all the newbies and happy scans.

Still feeling sick, especially by the evening time. DS is being an absolute star at the moment so that part of my life is bearable. At least he is eating at the moment (albeit only purees and fruit will pass his lips). WHEN will he eat a fish finger?? Or a sandwich?? Hmm - stress levels increasing so will change topic!

Have a nt scan on Tuesday (11w+5 I think) which I am a bit nervous about. Once that is out of the way, I should be able to actually start enjoying this pregnancy. Maybe the sickness will be gone by then as well.

myjobismum - wow, cant believe how detailed it is! at my 12 week scan last time it was just a blob on the screen!! my scan is at esactly 13 weeks so if all is well should see somethign similar to yours! congratulations. makes it seem more real doesnt it when you actually see it for real!

Morning ladies isnt today a wonderful day I woke up this morning smiling instead of being tearful. I have been sorting out my maternity clothes and packing away all of my size 10 jeans to make some space in my wardrobe.

Bethoo I am certainly doubting the skill of the consultant who did my first scan and I will not be returning to him again. I have not decided what type of complaint to make yet as I am feeling so happy and when I think of what distress he caused me and my family I get very angry and emotional but it does help to hear that others would also be upset and that it isnt just me and my hormones.

myjobismum great you have good pic I also have a fantastic detailed pic not techno enough to put it on, I do not wnt to get peoples hopes up it depends on who does your scan and the quality of the machine you do not always get great pics.

Good afternoon, Rosebury you must be so relieved after your scan scare I am very glad for you.

I will probably be investing in a private scan myself - the Hospital is clearly underresourced in my area and I look unlikely to be referred for a dating scan.

Fortunately there is a private scanning service available so I am enquiring about an appointment right now.

If I had not been on the pill when I conceived - I would not be so fussed, but I really want a due date. So £95 will buy me that at least!

They are great pics myjob! Whilst mine was pleasantly good, it was nowhere near as clear as that, but I do have a lot of flab in the way.

I saw my midwife this morning, and she managed to find the heartbeat with her doppler, so am also feeling rather happy today. She wasn't overly concerned by my recent bleed, other than to check that I wasn't rhesus neg, as then I'd have needed an anti-d injection.

rosebury - I don't appear to have you on the stats yet. What is your EDD, and remind me if this is your first?

Someone asked the other day if anyone had their 20 week scan booked, and I forgot to reply. Mine is booked for 27th May.

my 20 ish week scan is also booked for 27th May - seems ages away. I'm back to that feeling of wondering what is going on (although of course i saw the baby on the 12 week scan). I can't wait to feel it move, so that i can be re-assured day to day!

scan went well here too. saw a very clear picture and was bouncing all over the place. scan places me at 11wk 4 today and new date of the 13th. but I quite like the 14th so I'll stay there

I had my dating and NT scans yesterday all is fine [grin}, no changes to my due date. We told ds this afternoon he is very excited and has already cut some pictures out of a magazine for the baby ahhhh I was a bit worried he wouldn't be happy (he is 4.5 yrs) but he was over the moon - so lets hope it lasts.

MJIM they really are fab photos. and you have a gorgeous DS and every right to be a proud mum! I must update my photos of DS too.
Hi to newbies although one of you is obviously not very new to the being a mum lark. (REally pleased first scan turned out to be wrong) Are your older ones at home or do you not have the onhand babysitter perk?
Accessorizequeen, I think I'll give them a ring on MOnday if nothing turned up as I will be 11 weeks on the Tuesday. Do you think the antenatal ward is the same number as the maternity suite? it's like a foreign language and this is my second time!
Hope everyone is feeling better. I think there is a general trend towards us all being a bit more positive. Lets hope that carries on!

I have a scan tommorrow am at 10am Shame it is going to be private - but I want to know all is ok.

So fingers crossed.
