Hi.

PLease may I join in as am now expecting DC2 on 18th October 2008 & would love to join in chats as I did on Babycentre website with DD1 in 2005. Have been visiting this site a fair amount, but haven't until now joined in any chats.

Thank you.

sambrads yes i have seen Juno, watched it about amonth or two ago. thought it was very good, certainly brings it back to you what to expect! i thought he and Juno would get together, trying not ot give too much away but you know what i mean?
welcome fanvamp are you a fan of Buffy and Angel?.

SmudgeyDoodle · 24/03/2008 20:19

Hi all, Just checking in to say hi. Feeling rubbish and been away for weekend so not up to much. Welcome to new people, hope all is well with those who have worries and I'll catch up with you all soon. Sleep tight

twinklytoes · 24/03/2008 20:45

thought I'd better pop by too and say hi.

its all quiet here, no sickness but lots of back ache and pelvic ache. have been watching how I move to try and stop / minimise SPD.

have scan on wednesday so hopefully everything will feel more real.

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/03/2008 21:03

Welcome fanvamp. You'll find MN a bit straighter talking than Baby Centre if you venture off the AN/PN boards .

Great news about imum. Will go look for her thread.

Feeling much better today. Took dd to a butterfly farm and had lots of fun.

sparklesandnowinefor9months · 25/03/2008 09:20

Hi ladies just thought i nip in and say 'hi' hope you are all well

I saw midwife for my booking appointment yesterday so hopefully i shall get my scan date through soon, i also have to see a consultant this time as i had quite a lot of bleeding in my last pg (although DS3 was fine) and also as it no5 they want to keep an eye on me - i've never had any problems so i'm just hoping that the consultant will say that all is ok and that i can go back to normal midwife care

I'm moving tomorrow and shall then be off on holiday for a week but i shall catch up with you all soon

Keep those bumps happy!

SydneyB · 25/03/2008 09:59

Hello all and welcome to new people. Been away for Easter but just caught up on everyone's news. Great to hear about iMum.

Had my scan on Thursday and all is fine and they confirmed dates. Due date now 3rd Oct apparently. Had to take DD with me so was so distracted by keeping her occupied that I kind of didn't really focus on it all as much as I thought I would. Still amazing to actually see there's a baby in there!

Sickness is easing which is great as it didn't at all with DD and as long as I eat every 2 hours or so I'm generally feeling ok. Fingers crossed it lasts...

bethoo · 25/03/2008 10:05

i was up at 11 o'clock eating cheese and onion crisps with a glas of lemonade which helped my ''morning sickness''! so i have to eat through the night these days which is not dong my weight control any favours!!!!

belgo · 25/03/2008 10:32

bethoo - I'm also eating at night otherwise I feel so sick and weak!

sydney - glad your scan went well.

Who else has a scan today? I had my 12 week scan and all is fine, even got to count 10 individual fingers

SmudgeyDoodle · 25/03/2008 12:03

How exciting with all the scans. That's amazing that you could see fingers Belgo. I'll join the eating every 2 hours and preferably crisps or chocolate club. Much bigger than last time as am just 10 weeks and already wondering about maternity clothes. I think I made it to 4 months last time! Also anyone else with a LO still in nappies really struggling when changing nappies? The smell and sight of the poo is really turning my stomach. Great excuse over the Bank Holidays to persuade DH to do the honours!

bethoo · 25/03/2008 12:25

Smudgey- tell me about it! my lo is teethign i think so yesterday i changed about three really smelly gross ones in the space of an hour! dry retching whilst doing it!! thank goodness did not vomit all over my baby!!

belgo - yes i feel weak too on a night like low blood sugar or something. looks like diabetes may be returning or could justy be low blood pressure as my pulse seemed really slow!

SydneyB · 25/03/2008 14:06

Smudgey - yes, it's a nightmare. Especially the first one of the day if you haven't managed to get your breakfast down yet. DD, was standing there this morning without her nappy holding on to my knees as I sat on the loo retching into the basin this am. She thought it was all quite funny... DH is quite good at doing the honours if he's around though.

Happy moving sparkles .

Great that all the scans are going well.
Thought I'd update the stats with assorted revised dates, and have added a 'yes' against those who I think have had their 12 week scan already. Please let me know if I've missed out your scan, or said you've had one when you haven't!

belgo · 25/03/2008 15:58

well done cantsleep - and how are you?

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/03/2008 16:18

I'm feeling good today thanks Belgo, if a little tired from dd getting up at 6am and demanding to see nanny NOW (she wasn't arriving until 10:30)! I wouldn't have minded, but it was nearly 9pm when she went to bed last night, and is now clearly shattered, but having too much fun playing with nanny to bother resting!

I had a play with my doppler last night - not sure that I actually found the heartbeat, but pretty certain that I got a kick for pressing it in to my tummy!

belgo · 25/03/2008 17:27

that's good, although hopefully your dd will sleep better tonight.

pepperrabbit · 25/03/2008 18:37

Hi all, thought i'd pop in as been awol for 2 weeks - there's no way I can catch up with all the posts!! There are so many of us.
Still feeling pretty rough here and the DS's are making the most of my lack of energy, by running riot if left unattended... I just heard the immortal words "lets build a bonfire......!"
Hope everyone is well, I've got my scan next Fri (4th) which seems forever away, and I'm much more nervous this time - something to do with having 2 beautiful boys and maybe it's pushing my luck/greedy to hope for another, if that makes sense. Then I have a hospital booking in later in the month because of the gestational diabetes thing.
Bethoo - did you keep your kit to test for sugars??? I did, and all the strips are out of date but they're working OK and all was fine after a monster size curry the other night! So, hopefully I'll keep under their radar for a while.
My tummy is about 20 weeks by the end of the day - I do not know how everyone at work hasn't guessed....
take care all
PR

AandMsmum · 25/03/2008 20:13

Hi all. popping in and out every now and then I hope you don't mind! Had my scan today, all went well, saw the wriggly little bean and a lovely beating heart! So nice to be able to get excited now.

CSWS - Sorry to be a pain, due date has been put at 20th Oct now, 10+1 today.

Still feeling tired but other than that pretty okay. Working in the evening is rubbish as I nearly fell asleep at work sunday night! Good job I only have to wait for phone calls and not operate heavy machinery hey!!

I am finding though that late at night if i'm really hungry I do feel sick so I'm finding I'm coming home from working and eating past midnight which is something I hate to do but it's either that or throw up!

Hope every one is starting to feel better, Bethoo I'm feeling like I've got a huge bump! Probably not noticable to anyone else but seems massive to me..

AandMsmum · 25/03/2008 20:15

Sorry the was Sambrads not Bethoo that said about the big bump!

Lozza70 · 25/03/2008 20:18

Hi all. I've been fine up to now but I've been as rough as a badgers all day today. I'm 12 weeks on Thursday and have my scan and bloods next Wednesday. Never got this far before so I'm allowing myself to get excited Looking forward to the scan next week it as we plan to tell people afterwards. I've already had 3 scans and seeing more each time has been great.

Sambrads was it you who has hypothryodism? I had a blood test at 6 weeks and they said if I was not preg they would reduce my dose but I thought you usually needed to up the dose when you were preg???
