Hello ladies, the last thread appeared to run out, I hope you all don't mind me being so bold as to start a new one?

Has everyone gone into hibernation for Easter?!

Welcome Jess. We 'met' on your other thread. Fingers crossed for a happier outcome this time.

Great news on your scan Sambrads.

Buttercupbabe - my dh's birthday is 27th too.

I have been having a bit of a worrying weekend really. Had a bleed yesterday when going to toilet (had a thread about it), and then some brown gunk today too, but I'm hoping that that was just stuff left from yest. Fingers crossed for no more.

perkypopsy · 23/03/2008 15:59

Hi Bethoo I'm here - watching ER and drinking tea. Still feel like shit, still worried, still poking flabby belly hoping that grapefruit everyone tells me about is gonna make an appearence...

CSWS How are you hon? I have been keeping my fingers crossed for you - hope the weekend has been okay?

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/03/2008 17:56

Bethoo - I had my 12 week scan last Monday, and all appeared fine! Still feeling rough, but no more bleeding, and now have upset stomach, so hopefully that will get better soon and my aches and pains will go away. Am seeing mw on Friday anyway, so will mention it all to her, and expect she'll have a listen with her doppler. Might have a go with mine in the mean time anyway.

bethoo · 23/03/2008 19:26

in that case csws i would not worry so much, there are so many now i cant keep up with who had had scans or not!!! feel as though i am the only one who has not had a scan!!!

perksy - if you orgasm sometimes your uterus contracts so you can feel it then as it pops out and goes hard for a while.

Pistachio - tell me about it. i thought mornign sickness had gone but came back this evening, i am currently drinking fanta as seems to help. i am a day behind you as 12 weeks tomorrow. seems like alot of us have hit the milestone!

Ekka · 23/03/2008 22:28

Hi all, I've just managed to catch up on this thread after our trip away. We managed not to tell the family and I've finally received a date for my scan - 21st April, so 4.5 weeks to go. I am so jealous of all of you who have had scans already or are having them soon....

Must get to bed - dd has just started waking up at 11pm and yelling/trying to climb out of her cot until about 1am , so I'm a little bit tired. Luckily I've not got any morning sickness yet, except for feeling a little queasy when I'm hungry, but my back is absolutely killing me already (probably not helped by the fact that dd is going through a really clingy stage!)

bethoo · 23/03/2008 23:18

well i have missed our chat this weekend, really need to get out more but weather crap and cant drive etc etc!! ds found his easter egg this mornign and ate the lot so been very active today and a nightmare to get to bed but he is down now and the sight of the massive build up of pots that need washing is not doing my morning sickness any good!! had a pasta soup thing and peanut butter wiht jam on crackers. i am sure that at my last pregnancy with ds my mornign sickness was gone by 11 weeks and here i am nearly 12 weeks and still tired and nauseaus. convinced it is twins but shall see next week!!
hope you all had a good easter and ate lots of chocs morning sickness allowing!!
hope to speak to you soon,x

Jambers99 · 24/03/2008 07:33

Morning everyone, thought I'd just check in and say hello. I haven't posted much recently since I'm feeling very worried about something having gone wrong - no reason to worry, haven't had any bleeding or anything, but I don't have any sickness or other symptoms so don't feel very pregnant. I'm only 9 weeks so some way behind all you lucky ladies who've made it to 12 weeks already

Still haven't seen the midwife for booking in, or had a date for my NHS scan, but have a private scan booked for Friday so I'll know then whether things are ok.

sambrads · 24/03/2008 08:06

hi ya jambers please try not worry so much as im sure everything is ok bet you cant wait to have your scan on friday

i have been relaxing this holiday as have been very sick again and i think i am starting to crave cheese and chips as i could eat it now hahaha

you should give it a go its tasty

07mumstheword · 24/03/2008 08:43

Hello Anyone remember me? I haven't been on here for so long because I have been feeling so tired and sick that I just can't keep up with RL let alone anything else! It's good though because hopefully it means a healthy PG but I still can't help having a little moan

I had my first midwife appt on Weds. Weeks ago I was worried as the Bristol area only offered a first scan at 20 wks but since Jan this year they've introduced routine 12 wk scans so I have one booked in a couple of wks time.

I'm 10 wks now so I'm really hoping to feel a bit better soon. The doctor has prescribed me some tablets to help with the sickness is anyone else taking anti-sickness tablets and feel comfortable doing so? It worries me a bit but the doctor assures me it is completely safe.

Where on earth do you live Pistachio? A 20n weeks scan is the only scan that NHS is actually demanded to give as part of basic antenatal care. It is an abnormality scan. So if any problems with baby they can can try and sort it all out!!! That is disgusting that you have to pay private for a standard scan. I would make a complaint to local hospital.

Jane7 · 24/03/2008 10:39

Morning everyone
Haven't posted for awhile... but wanted to check in, and send positive, happy wishes to everyone.
I've passed 12 weeks mark - I'm 12 weeks three days today - but not sure whether I can really celebrate since I'm not having my scan until 31st March. A week ago. I think someone else has got there scan that day but I can't remember who.
As for symptoms, I'm still feeling sicky, especially when I'm not eating. When I've got something in my mouth, I feel great. Thank god for mini eggs!
Also, I'm pretending that I'm showing a little by trying to stick my tummy out but in truth, my tummy really is no bigger than normal, or maybe just slightly, and a bit firmer. Is this normal at 12 weeks? I hoped I might be showing a bit by now.

Jane7 · 24/03/2008 10:40

Sorry, stupid error, I meant my scan is in a week's time obviously, not a week ago!

perkypopsy · 24/03/2008 11:11

BETHOO!!! chance would be a fine thing while feling this yucky!

buttercupbabe · 24/03/2008 11:12

Hope everyone is well today.
Csws - hope you haven't had any more bleeding and that all is well.
I'm 13 weeks tomorrow and still exhausted. I seem to recall the tiredness going at about 14 weeks with ds so fingers crossed...

perkypopsy · 24/03/2008 11:34

Hi buttercup am 13 today - have started telling people but not seeing Boss til a week on Friday so have to keep shtum at work for a while longer - will be a massive relief to let the cat (kitten?) out of the bag

Crossing my fingers and toes that I start feeling better soon like you - when you are a PG-virgin you have no idea what to expect so am following you experts

bethoo · 24/03/2008 12:03

Jane - my scan is at 1010 on 31, what time is yours?

bethoo · 24/03/2008 12:31

Thanks Pistachio. Good to know that I'm not supposed to have bump at 12 weeks. I made the mistake of putting "12 weeks pregnant" into Google Images and it came up with photos of women with HUGE bumps
Bethoo my scan is at 8.15am on 31st so I'll be through by the time you're going in... but I'll be thinking of you. Fingers crossed for both of us. Hoping this week will pass fast.
