Hello ladies, the last thread appeared to run out, I hope you all don't mind me being so bold as to start a new one?

OP posts:

bethoo · 18/03/2008 18:50

quiet this evening. hope it went ok for you Daisy

CantSleepWontSleep · 18/03/2008 19:00

I keep checking for updates from daisy. Really hoping it's good news and she's just busy celebrating.

No cravings yet. Last time I craved dairy (yoghurts and milk with lime crusha syrup!), and dd ended up milk intolerant, so am worried about what I might crave this time!!

Oh dear, still no word from daisy?
.

MrsTittleMouse · 19/03/2008 08:16

Hope you're OK daisy.

daisyj · 19/03/2008 08:21

Hi all. Sorry not to post last night. Sadly it's not good news. Despite my high hormone levels they just found blood and tissue, but nothing that really looked like a baby. Sorry to be so blunt - DH and I are feeling very sad, but will be OK. They sent me home to see what happens, but may have to have D&C next week (hope not, as am terrified of idea of general anaesthetic).

Thanks so much for your concern - you've been such a lovely group of people to meet, and I know you'll have fabulous pregnancies and wonderful bouncing babies in October. I'll be unable to resist checking up on you from time to time, and wish you all lots of love and luck for the next few months. xxx

CSWS, I'm sure I'll see you elsewhere putting the site's spelling to rights!

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/03/2008 08:30

Oh daisy.
Please don't be too concerned about having a d&c - they are ok. I'd never had a general before (incidentally you can ask to have it under a local if you really think you'd prefer it), but it was fine - only a bit weird for a few mins when first coming round.

Really hope to see you back on the ante-natal threads soon.

Much love. xx

sambrads · 19/03/2008 08:33

oh daisyj i am so so sorry to hear your news please take care of yourself and i hope everything works out for you in the future .

sambrads · 19/03/2008 08:37

dont really have much to report this morning starting to feel better with myself not as tired and the sickness has left well for now any way

cant believe i am going into my second trimester this week its so scary but very exciting

my scan is tomorrow and i cant wait
although i have to wait til 6.15 so i wont be able to post my results til tomorrow night

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/03/2008 08:44

I thought second trimester didn't start til 14 weeks in?

MrsTittleMouse · 19/03/2008 08:51

daisy - I'm so sorry to hear your news.

MrsTittleMouse · 19/03/2008 08:52

The second trimester starts at 13 weeks I thought. Roughly each trimester is 13 weeks, which adds up to 39, so I suppose the 40th week is tagged onto the 3rd. As if the third trimester isn't long enough.

bethoo · 19/03/2008 09:33

i am sorry Daisy. take care

every day i think my mosrnign sickness has suvsided but then it comes back with a vengeance in the evening so it is hard to sleep when you feel wretched!!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/03/2008 09:33

Googling shows no hard and fast rule, but the majority think it begins at 14 weeks.

daisy so sorry for ur loss hope ur feeling better soon.

well my day has started off crap. my dd got hold of a bottle of dark grey nail varnish and has tipped it all over my beige living room carpet my dp is away snowboarding this week and he gets back saturday so i was hoping by some miracle someone will have a magical remedy to get it out

all advice greatly needed

SydneyB · 19/03/2008 09:58

Oh Daisy, I am so so sorry to hear your news. Thinking of you and your DH xxx

bethoo · 19/03/2008 10:18

hansnava - would white spirit or nial polish remover get it out though i would do a test area first to make sure that it does not ruin the carpet! or you could get a rug to conveniently hide said accident?? at least your lo did not drink it!

hansnava · 19/03/2008 10:29

bethoo ive tried nail varnish remover on a little part of it and its not doing ne thing just making it spread.

im sooooooooo not forward to dp coming home hes always moaning about my varnish laying around and this carpet cost £1000 and is only a year old but i swear i di put it away this time but it must have fallen off the top of my wardrobe.

i just read somewhere that pure acetone and oxyclean should do but im really not holding my breath

SmudgeyDoodle · 19/03/2008 11:48

Daisy, sorry to hear things didn't work out this time.

Hansnava, I don't have ideas about how to get the nailvarnish out but do you have house insurance that covers accidental damage? I scorched my mum and dads carpet when I was about 15 and they got a whole new one for free (and it was a through living room/dining room one which was about 15 years old!!!)

Whoever said they are feeling better, I think you might have passed it on to me. Didn't have much MS before but have felt awful last few days (and I'm 9 weeks in!)

Lozza70 · 19/03/2008 12:40

Daisy, so sorry to hear your news. I hope you are taking it easy and resting up.

Hansnava as Smudgeydoodle has said it sounds like an insurance job. One of my friends DD walked through some hair colourant and did in her carpets and they were all replaced. A pain in the neck but sorted out in the end!
