Hello ladies, the last thread appeared to run out, I hope you all don't mind me being so bold as to start a new one?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
SmudgeyDoodle · 13/03/2008 14:55

Oh Sarah, sorry to hear your sad news. That sounds like a real emotional journey as well as a terrifying time. Take good care of yourself. Give our love to your OH too. Fingers crossed for next time.

PrePG · 13/03/2008 15:01

Sarah - I'm so very sorry! Take care of yourself.

PrePG · 13/03/2008 15:07

So - I don't think we've really talked about this, but how are your DP's doing? I think mine is finally starting to get excited. We visited my family this past weekend and told everyone. My parents knew since about 5 weeks (I'm 10+5 today) but no one else did. It was so nice let the cat out of the bag and - I'll admit it - be fussed over by my mother . She was fussing about me picking up my 3 year old nephew and I think it was the first time it really occurred to DH what is going on here (I had no ms or exhaustion, so no outward signs of PG) Suddenly he won't let me lift a finger! And he told me that he's super excited about our scan next week. It's finally all starting to feel real!

Jambers99 · 13/03/2008 15:13

Sarah, I'm so sorry to hear your sad news, and that you lost one of your tubes as well as the bean. Thanks for letting us know what happened, I've been thinking of you - and so sorry it didn't have a happy ending. Wishing you well for a speedy recovery and good luck conceiving again.

sarah so so sorry to hear your news its terrible as you said surround yourself with family and friends and look after yourself.

was at the midwife and she said i am due 30th september ????

can i please stay on this thread as i know i will go over this time cause my cycle is not a normal 28 day cycle ????????

she wants me to see my gp because she is concerned that i am throwing my thyroid tablets up when i take them in the morning.

she says i could end up in hospital for afew days !!!!!!!!!

i so dont want to

PrePG · 13/03/2008 16:35

sambrads about the thyroid tablets!

And of course you can stay here! [speaking for everyone!] I've got three due dates and I use whichever one suits me at any given time! I'm mostly sticking with 4 Oct which is the date they gave me after an early scan, but according to my last period, it should be 27 Sept and according to when I ovulated it should be 30 Sept.

belgo · 13/03/2008 16:37

sambrads - poor you. I was also threatened with hospital and a drip during my first pregnancy, but I didn't have the complication of thyriod tablets.

Have you tried acupuncture bands for the sickness? Have they prescribed you any anti sickness medication?

sambrads · 13/03/2008 17:21

thanks ladies

no belgo they have not give me an anti sickness tablets although i might ask for them when i see gp tomorrow

due dates are a load of s*

they never get it right i had 7 different dates with ds and he came on none of them so i will just say the 10th october as thats the latest date they will let me go to

rach010 · 13/03/2008 18:02

Hi

So sorry for your news Sarah, take good care of yourself.

Sambrads i'm due on 19th October, got 12week scan date through today not til 7th April but at least i've got it.

caramelbunny · 13/03/2008 18:35

Sarah, so sorry to hear what you've been through in the last week, have been thinking about you and wondering how you are. Good luck with recovery and fertility clinic.

myjobismum, glad everything is ok, must have been a scary night, a strong hearbeat at this stage is meant to be a very good sign so everything crossed for you.

bethoo · 13/03/2008 18:38

Sarah - I'm so sorry for the loss of your little bean. Please be kind to yourself

Myjobismum - finger crossed for you honey. I bled with bright red blood at 12 weeks with ds. It was only one time but it was v scary indeed

CantSleepWontSleep · 13/03/2008 20:47

Oh I'm so sorry Sarah . On the bright side, let's be thankful that they discovered it in time, as ectopic pregnancies can be very dangerous if left undetected. Wishing you much luck for the future, and glad that you have a supportive family around you.

myjob - what a terribly scary time for you, but glad that you appear to have a much happier outcome.

PrePG - my dh is as useless and thoughtless as ever - pregnancy has sadly made no difference to that. Not that he's actually here much (he lives/works abroad during the week), but I am still expected to do everything even when he is. Even when I had sinusitis, D&V and massive tiredness the other week, I got no sympathy or support at all. We are having a night away without dd this weekend, so I'm hoping that we'll get chance to have a constructive talk about things.

myjobismum i hope your ok i bet you were so so so scared but im glad things are ok now

can i ask a question about discharge???

sorry but i seem to have loads now does anyone else???
it also seems to be more yellow than white ????

i dont have thrush but i just find it strange .

bethoo · 14/03/2008 09:06

sambrads- as long as it does not smell i think it is ok, i get alot and always think the worst!!!
feel not pregnant today as no sickness, absolutley nothing. bit concerned really!

KSal · 14/03/2008 09:08

Sambrads there is a bit more discharge for me too, nothing particularly different, but just more of it

I'm feeling reeeaaallly bloated now (mainly gas i think )... only 5 days til the scan now!

PrePG · 14/03/2008 10:46

Morning all.

sambrads I've been noticing a bit more discharge over the last week or so too.

I posted this on pregnancy too, but since we're all about the same amount of time gone, I thought I'd ask here too. I've fallen twice in the past two days. The first one I could've predicted - I was jet lagged and carrying a suitcase on an escalator. But last night I tripped up the kerb and really did a number on my knee, wrist and elbow . Afterward, I felt quite sick - faint and almost to the point of vomiting. DH was on his way home from work and I called his mobile, but I was crying so much that he couldn't make out what I was saying. By the time he got home I had really worked myself up and I just couldn't stop crying for about a half hour. He was really brilliant and just hugged me and ordered me to the sofa while he made dinner.

Anyway, I'm fine now, despite more sore knee, but it really shook me up. I know pregnancy does strange things to your balance, but I didn't think this early on? I'll be 11 weeks tomorrow. Anyone else?

caramelbunny · 14/03/2008 12:00

Is it just lack of balance PrePG or do you feel faint? I've had some faint and dizzy spells where I feel really wobbly and have had to lie on floor a couple of times. Am also clumsy when pregnant, constantly stubbing toe, banging elbow, bashing into furniture etc.

ronshar · 14/03/2008 12:07

PrePg. Your blood pressure will be much lower than usual. I had mine taken yesterday at my booking. Normally I am 120/70 which is perfect normal. Now it has dropped to 90/50. That is also perfect normal for pregnancy. I get really lightheaded if I move too fast, luckily I dont do that too much.

Sarah I am so sorry for your loss. Look out for Lissie, she had an ectopic last year. She is a fountain of wisdom and strength.

Myjob crikey what a tense time you've had. At least your DS is getting to know his new baby well.

My DH is still in denial. He doesnt do emotional stuff very well and I think the thought of watching me go through another MC is too much for him to cope with. He has been good at the tea and toast in bed mind you. I am still not allowed to tell anyone. He doesnt know I have told loads of people already.

PrePG · 14/03/2008 12:12

Thanks pistachio and caramelbunny
Despite eons of ballet classes, I will admit I am quite clumsy according to my family (something I vehemently deny, but maybe they're right after all!)

caramelbunny I didn't feel faint before hand, just afterward.

I'm slightly worried now as I went to the bathroom earlier and I had some very light pink spotting No one at work knows I'm pregnant yet and I'm not able to run to the doctor this afternoon. Might call the midwife (who I haven't even seen yet! Don't even know where I'll find a number as I don't have my booking in paperwork with me - will have to programme that number into my phone for future reference) to see if I can be seen later today. I imagine there's nothing that can be done in the meantime anyway...
