Hello ladies, the last thread appeared to run out, I hope you all don't mind me being so bold as to start a new one?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

pregp - have yuo contacted gp/mw yet about the spotting? though it may be nothinkg just get it checked to be on the safe side ok? i bled and not just spotting but bery heavy like periods from 6 weeks to 16 weeks, about three times there was blood everywhere and everyday everytime i wiped there was blood. after having scans every monday for the first trimester i was told i had a heamorrage in my unterus luckily it did not affect the pregnancy apart from stressing alot!! so it not always results in the end.

ronshar · 14/03/2008 12:57

PrePg, remember it is Friday. If you are going to get checked out do it soon. No service at the weekends apart from A&E.
You did have a tumble so it could be just a TINY bleed because of that. If you havent got any abdo pain then try not to get too worried. I know it is easy to say that but we are all here with fingers crossed. It worked for Myjob

perkypopsy · 14/03/2008 16:01

Hi Everyone,

Special hugs to Sarah I hope you are okay

Sounds like lots has been happening with us all. I have been avoiding MN cos I rearranged my scan for yesterday and was too nervous to tell anyone in case it all went wrong - couldn't wait for 13 weeks . All is well - 11+4 today apparently - am just going to try really hard to believe it now.

Have a good weekend everyone
p.s. KSal I am Lister too - with my green folder - though is all very disorganised cos my drs sends women to QE2 but I refused. Am seeing MW at 16 weeks (only cos I called her and asked) and next scan at 20 weeks...seems a long way away though
PrePG I am vasovagal and have a murmur and have been super dizzy - bumping in to things and not able to stand for more than ten minutes

sambrads · 14/03/2008 16:48

prepg hope your ok lets us know whats happening and make sure you see someone as you will be worried sick and its not good for you or the baby .

perkypopsy thats brill about the scan i bet your so happy i go for my scan on 20th so so excited only 6 days to go!!!!!!!!

perkypopsy · 14/03/2008 17:35

sambrands - I have been counting down with you - i was 5 days later - so exciting!

PrePG · 14/03/2008 17:50

perkypopsy congrats on your scan, that's wonderful!

I've been counting down with sambrads also - my scan is on the 20th too.

As for me, I think I'm okay. I tried to call the midwife office at Kings but no one answered the phone. The spotting is really light and only on the first wipe unless I actually touch my cervix with the paper, although it has been there all day. My scan is on Thursday anyway, so unless the bleeding doesn't stop or gets heavier I think I'll wait it out, I would think there's nothing they can do anyway. Trying to think positive and have the perfect excuse for a lazy weekend.

Thanks for your kind words everyone.

PrePG · 14/03/2008 17:52

Also should mention I don't have any pain or cramping, so I'm taking that as a good sign.

sparklesandnowinefor9months · 14/03/2008 17:53

PrePG i really hope all goes well for you, i'm sending loads of positive vibes your way

sparklesandnowinefor9months · 14/03/2008 17:54

PrePG it is normal to have some bleeding in early pg, i've had it with 3 out of the 4 of mine and all went on to be ok, i hope it is for you too

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/03/2008 20:41

perkypopsy - does that just give you a Sept due date now then?
There may be 4 of us at the Lister then, as hansnava has another thread saying she is considering it too.

Fingers crossed for you PrePG.

if that is 8 weeks then i cant imagine how big she will be at 8 months!!!! but i easily look like that on a night what with trapped wind, constipation and bloating but luckily it is flat in the morning!!!

bethoo · 15/03/2008 10:33

PrePG - i hope this is not too personal but during pregnancy the cervix becomes very sensitive simething about the blood supply there, anyway sex can irritate the lining causing bleeding. and no cramping is a good sign.

caramelbunny · 15/03/2008 14:25

OMG KnickersOnMaHead there's got to be a few in there!

Hope you're taking things easy PrePG and good luck with scan next week. Could try to get early scan though, just so you're not worrying.

sambrads · 15/03/2008 18:19

knickas sometimes if you have had children before the tummy muscles are still loose so pop out earlier each pregnancy, could that be why maybe? either that or you should start looking at double (perhaps triple!!) buggies??

Wow! And I thought that my 9 week bump was big. It's going to be much harder keeping it secret this time round. Last time I just was careful what I wore and didn't tell until I was 14 weeks. This time I am getting so big, and I'm surrounded by other Mums.

Anyone else struggling so much to hang on to the 12 week ultrasound? I never did persuade DH to pay for a private scan, and it's driving me crazy that I haven't even seen a MW yet. 2nd time Mum = will be fine on her own, don't bother, it seems.

ilovebeinglazy · 16/03/2008 13:06

Hi Mrstittlemouse

i know what you mean about the wait for the 12 week scan. I'm coming up 10 weeks and don't yet have a date. I have to wait for the hospital to write to me. Then I have to call them to make an appointment which will be a challenge in itself knowing how busy the hospital is.

started telling a few more people now - trying not to think that's tempting fate.

CantSleepWontSleep · 16/03/2008 16:38

Scared and worried today. Had stomach ache all night last night, and one tiny bit of blood stained cm this morning. Doesn't sound a lot I know, but it's exactly what I had on the day my first baby died (which we didn't discover for another 4 weeks). Very thankful that my scan is tomorrow so I don't have to wait long to find out if it is bad news or not. I so hope that everything is ok.

belgo · 16/03/2008 16:49

cantsleepwontsleep - how worrying for you. You must be just over 11 weeks pregnant, just afew days further on then me.

I really really hope the scan goes well tomorrow. Try and rest as much as possible now.
